I watched this video thousands of times before coming to Brisbane. Now after half a year living here I have been to all the places mentioned in the video & can recognise all the scenes. I am so glad I made this journey here. Brisbane is the best city ever. :)
My hometown. A beautiful place to live with the river, Southbank, walking gardens, 4 zoo's/wildlife sanctuaries, sporting options and the Gold Coast with it's 5 theme parks only an hour away. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else.
@I Made An Atom Bomb In My Parents Basement FUck you asshole- residents of AUstrlia are kind and generous, Steve is not an English school promoter, just a commenter in youtube.
I have lived in Brisbane twice. I went to the University of Queensland and lived in St. Lucia (Suburb of Brisbane). I am from Indianapolis and I would rather be in Brisbane anytime. I am going to retire there one day and I have every plan to move there with my family and leave the US.
Brisbane seems to be the most liveable city in Australia. There’s no doubt that, once the pandemic subsides & travel restrictions are lifted, I’ll be relocating there. What a beautiful place!
Make sure you do your due diligence. Many years ago about 100k flocked to Brisbane and around 75k returned back home. It isn’t for everyone but I love it
Been to Brisbane once when I was 14. I was awed by the beaches in the middle in the city. This is the most beautiful city ever I have seen. The perfect blend between nature and modern city, and the kind of thing that you never find in a concrete jungle like Hong Kong. The friendly vibe, laid back lifestyle.... To me, Brisbane is the perfect city to live in. Now I am going to study in University of Queensland next month. Just watching videos and wish time could pass faster.
I will admit, I do miss Brissie. I went to Aspley State High and lived in Zillmere & Aspley from 2001-2003 and loved every minute of it. People were friendly, and my first Christmas Eve was spent with Family at Southbank Beach. Everyone was happy and singing & strangers were having good ole conversations with eachother like they were long lost mates. It's a beautiful city & being a Proud Kiwi, I don't normally give the Aussies complements LOL, but it's that vibe, the friendly people, the lifestyle that I will never forget. 👍👍
That’s if the government does the right thing. If you google apparently there is a fight currently between political Parties about who will be the boss
Last year I planned to stay in Brisbane for 6-7 months. I had an amazing au pair family. But then covid came. And I left Brisbane and Australia. After just 5 weeks. I fell so deep in love with this city and the people there. So whenever my heart is heavy and aches I come to such videos. To "feel" Brisbane again. Thank you for that video! Hope to be able to see Brisbane with my own eyes again. Someday...
Melbourne and Brisbane are the top two most livable cities in Australia by a long way. I lived in the best areas of Sydney for thirty years and is a long way behind these two
i remember back in 2002, i lived in Brisbane for 2 years when i was just 6 years old because my mother took her master degree in university of queensland. what a beautiful childhood it was, i remember everyweek we just stroll around the town, went to the city garden feeding the ducks lol and i went to school at iron side state school, i have the classroom photos and think to my self where are my firends now and what are they doing. hope to come back here someday
I used to live in this beautiful city. I am so lucky to have been able to call it home. I miss you Brissie! Yes I was harassed by some deadly animals but that didn’t stop me from having an awesome adventure in the land down under. I would totally go back to Australia if i still had enough money.
Ahh I love this city. Brisbane has been an obsession of mine ever since Charlene left neighbours and headed to Brissy never to be seen again! In my 5 year old brain I imagined this magical place on the other side of the world to me (I’m from England) and dreamed of being there some day. I’m 36 and now live in NSW Australia and I’m so pleased I made it to Brisbane this year for the first time. It was everything I dreamed of and now I’m desperate to move there with my family! It’s literally become my main goal in life to move there . Thanks for sharing
Not sure how it has a country feel. Far more refined and sophisticated than Seattle is! Standard of living is far superior. I miss my hometown and will move back to Brissy.

Most liveable city in Australia at half the cost and i lived in the best suburbs in Sydney for 25 years. Not a gardener but been to the Botanical gardens , Roma st parklands, Mount Coot-tha, And the other day walked around Mt Tambourine Botanical Gardens No city in Australia can compare. Magic city
Lived in the best suburbs in Sydney for 30 years. Brisbane and Melbourne leave Sydney for dead and the real estate is half the price. . Magic city to walk around. No other major city has so much natural beauty around it within easy reach.
Well not now. The real estate market has sky rocketed with so many wanting to flee vic. This is what happened around the GFC but many then returned. I think you can look up ABS and see the statistics of 100k relocated to Brisbane and 73k returned home. Lol
Expedia - a nice summary of Brisbane. I think it's changed quite a bit since though. Firstly, it's now closer to 2.5 million - not really having the country feel that you mention - it has become cosmopolitan and should be noted as such. Secondly, I think you'd do well to include the suburbs like West End, which as you'd no doubt know by now, have many great places to go out for lunch/dinner/drinks. It'd be great to see you guys make a fresh video in 2021 if possible. Cheers.
Brisbane is one of Favorite places list. Actually, Brisbane is my Birthplace and i loved this place very much. I watched this video couple of times. Thanks again for sharing.
Takes me back to 2012, 2013. Best times. A Jackie chan movie was filmed In Brisbane in the late 80s and inspector gadget 2 as well. Down under bar and avicci.
Kane the Diamond miner if you have ever gone to the us. What state/city would you say is closest to brisbane i would like to live there in australia and i like south cali weather i live in mideast mississippi its super hot in summers and very humid and windters it can get pretty cold i jus want it to sorta be a more constant climate instead of like here in the south.
brisbane definitely has the most consistent climate it never really gets cold here, the weather in Melbourne is absolutely terrible and Sydney is ok i guess.
Great place but dont stay in the city. surrounding areas are beautiful. Sunshine coast, Montville, maleny, Tamborine mountain and the mountains behind the gold coast. It really is beautiful here but you need to travel around a bit.
Gold Coast is about one hour drive if you are lucky. Lovely place. Many moved there cause of Covid. Brisbane is a much different city not on a surf. But you can travel to Moreton bay which is nice also. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-MYBhlTgeJvk.html
Have over 480,000$ USD to get a house here and it depends on the suburb so if you wanna live in carindale on brisbanes south side youre looking at around 700,000$ AUD or north side of brisbane like Everton Park around 600,000$ AUD the cheapest you'll find is around 500,000$ AUD so good luck!
