I really appreciated Perth so much more after I went to Sydney, don't get me wrong I love Sydney there was so many more things to do but for me the lifestyle in Perth is Perfect, it's relaxing and not overpopulated.
I lived here for three years now, and it’s lovely here, clean air, and clean neighbourhood! A lots of beautiful park for kids or us to enjoy outdoor. Perfect city to live with family🙂
I may find the United States a great country and Europe, a fascinating continent, but when it comes to moving in or even just a long vacation, nothing compares to Australia for me. I love the fact that it's way less populated and exploited than other places which makes me think that it must be more peaceful to live there, especially Perth. I also love to visit Canada but I'm not so sure if it's as good as Australia.
@@jlluna2633 This is the same as saying that the beautiful parts of Australia are only around the shores where the biggest cities are, and as well as you ignored Canada's inland, you should also remember most of Australia is a desert. In Canada you have cold weather, in Australia you have a desert with wildfires. And insects.
I'm from singapore and have been living in perth for the past 1.5 years and i love it over here... beautiful sights everywhere, sunny days during winter. Perth may be boring after a while but there's lots on offer in other parts Western Australia like jurien bay, margaret river, lancelin, kalbarri.
+odettetravelog Hi there! Planning to visit Perth this December. Can you recommend places to go to besides Margaret River, Swan Valley, Kings Park, and Bell Tower? What's different about Margaret River and Swan Valley since both produce wine? What's there in Lancelin and Kalbarri? How's the whether in December? Thanks!
LynneCcl @LynneCcl Hey. Watertown is good for factory outlet shopping. Would also recommend eating at Ciao Italia. Swan valley is more suitable for day trip, as it is 30-40mins away from Perth, there is also a chocolate factory shop there. Margaret River is 2hrs from Perth and it's recommended to stay at least 1 night there at one of the farms or guesthouse, there is the Margaret River Town Center which has plenty of restaurants and shops. There is the lancelin sand dunes, where you can sandboard, and about 30mins away is The Pinnacles. Kalbarri is about 6hrs drive from Perth and it has the Pink Lake and Kalbarri National Park (Natural Window). The weather in Dec is really hot and there will be a lot of flies. Hope you enjoy Perth!
+odettetravelog i have stayed 1 month in Perth and i don't find it boring at all ..as +odettetravelog says there are lots of other things to do in West Australia ..i loved the winter there ..it felt warm compared to our European winters...Perth is worth a visit .believe me .it aint Sydney but he if u love a relaxed lifestyle Perth is the place to be ....greetz from cold Belgium ..rather be in Perth right now ...:-)
Generally, I'd say that the whole of Australia is expensive - not just Perth. It's situated along the western coast of Australia and it's only a 4-5 hour flight from Singapore compared to the 7.5-hour flights we have to take in order to reach Sydney, Brisbane or any other Australian city along the eastern coast - hence it is a popular destination for most Singaporeans like myself. During the weekdays, however, most of the shops and eateries in the city area are shut before 6pm; and most of the shops are closed before 9pm on weekends. Northbridge is quite the opposite since there is not much to do there in the daytime but it is also where all the nightlife is. There are many great places to shop in Perth and there's a free shuttle service around the city - a great pity that the shops over there close wayyyy too early.
YummYakitori If all you wanted to do is shop you wouldn’t consider visiting Perth when Singapore is a much larger and better city for shopping. Perth is not so bustling but it’s relaxed vibe is a large part of its appeal.
I'd like to visit Perth. It gave us Heath Ledger, Tame Impala, Troye Sivan, etc. It's even known to be the sunniest capital city in Australia. Plus, it has a lot of South Africans. It's just really sad that a lot of people don't know what or where this city is.
Hi all, I have lived in Perth for most of my life. Just a few things not in the video: 1. bring lots of money, especially for Rottenest, Perth is expensive. 2. don't expect a great nightlife, 95% of people live in the boring suburbs leaving the city incredibly void of any substantial urban culture or activity. 3. Most shops shut at 5pm. 4. If coming in summer, be prepared to protect your skin from the high UV sunshine, the sun will destroy your skin. 5. If swimming at the beach try to swim in-between the red and yellow flags and if you can't swim, don't swim, the ocean can be dangerous. 6. The guy below (NinjaEquinox) is very wrong, Western Australia produces about 13% of Australia's GDP not 25%! 7. If you are a blue collar worker, consider moving to Perth permanently as people like mechanics, electricians, construction workers are some of the best paid in the world. Its basically the opposite of everywhere else, the blue collar guys make the big money, and the educated are undervalued.
Jarrad Northover You have given very honest and informative advice which all first time travellers to Perth should take heed of. What you wrote is exactly what I had experienced when I was there. Yours are so different from what I read in an advisor of trips forum where a few fellows seem to be spending their life 24/7 there glorifying Perth but the reality is far from what they claim and much nearer to what you have written. Marketing and promoting Perth as a tourism destination is well and good but to prepare the potential tourist for what to expect is only right. You have done what is right. Good job.
Zara Alhilli Hey zara, By all honesty, is perth a city that is realisticly speaking liveable? Many in the comment section claim it is very expensive. Also, how are the muslim communities over there?

Perth is very underrated by most of australia, and the rest of the world. But some people don't know that perth is the riches city in Australia, practically being the centre of the australian economy it produces over 25% of the countries wealth...suck on that sydney.
Perth is a beautiful place but in the 30 years that I have lived here..... I have NEVER been to Rottnest island.Tried to organise a trip once- turns out, that its cheaper to travel to Bali and stay a couple of nights. Rottnest is way over priced!!
if you want to enjoy yourself there is always somewhere to go and something to do for example people go to south america to enjoy street dance but they never enroll in local dance classes.
Perth is great the architecture is amazing the city is my favourite place and its easy to get around with the bus routes. Even though Perth is expensive and there is not a lot for teenagers to do the one place were everyone will be happy is rottenest.
Man I was born in Geraldton and really wanna go back to WA but I live in Sydney 😭. I've been to Perth a few times as I small child but as of now, the best City I've been to is the Gold coast. I love the chill vibes at Surfers Paradise and the theme parks. Next time I go to Perth I'll compare them.
I almost got killed by a random guy in the city center of Perth. I shared a video on my channel. This does not change the fact that Perth is a great lovely city, with cool and friendly people. The only reason I don't miss Perth is the experience I had there.
Australia is paradise: With every sunset and sunrise She'll give us happiness and love, Although we know it's not enough, But we are sure that she will (If we just ask for this!) fulfill Our boundless wishes and desires. Australia, you're paradise! Forever we will all love you, Like grass awaits the morning dew, Like birds will need high azure sky, Where even humans want to fly Enjoying all this paradise - The smallest continent by size With real miracles from God! From day to day we only thought How we could find the shortest way To get to Queensland, Sydney's Bay, Canberra, Darwin, Perth, Gold Coast: They're all the best - there is no worst On wonderful Australian land Which miracles will never end!
+Celsius Its a waste of tax payers money and I'm pretty sure that it is just there for a better view of the "lovely" corrupted bank and mining company buildings. Also, how are they going to keep that clean. It's not surprising that two Dolphins suddenly died after it opened.
Perth is really boring I live here and I just go to adventure world and swim in the beach and go explore the hills but the hills are the best thing for me because I love the views. I love Rottnest because it is fun to ride around and go swimming.
