But my personal advice is no matter how much research you do, the place you end up going to is still going to serve you 3,4,5 amazing years at uni! So don’t worry too much, just pick a good uni and enjoy yourself x goodluck!!

I am chinese and I've learned English for more than 10 years , However .most of the time the accent I learnt was American accent not British accent. I try to learn to speak in a British accent these days but I just find it's so difficult to change... I'm wondering ... Does it matter if I don't speak in a British accent? For example, will the teacher prefer the students who can speak in a British accent? Will you British people prefer to make friends with the people who speak in a British accent not American accent? Thanks a lot if you can reply when you're available.

Don't woory, the accent is a myth that everyone one who wants to study abroad in the UK worry about it, take it easy and enjoy, your time in one of the best cities to study in (Bristol). No one will prefer someone because of his/her accent alone! so no need to think about it.

HEY KYU thankyou ! :) I recommend living in nearby houses because it is cheaper but if you are attending university, it’ll be better to attend Student accom to get to know people/friends. It’s hard to find pet friendly places if you are a student tho, but some houses may allow them :) Goodluck!

Haha black boy Hill is still there! I think they might be thinking of changing the name though, after lockdown is over

King Charles II was the Black Boy, and many Inns were named after him. Hence Black Boy Hill after a pub that stood at the top named for Charles. This will not stop the loons getting rid of this harmless history.
