I was born in easton bristol 75yrs ago, moved away in the 80s.so lovley to watch this video, so many memories of a happy childhood spent here. I expect its much different now.

My late father used to drive Bristol Trams. There is a good chance he would have recognised the tram driver and 'clippie' in the photo with them posing near their tram. He told me once that the drivers hated an emergency stop because that would cause a flat spot on the iron wheels where they locked up and tracked down the rail. They dare not return the tram with a flat spot so they had to keep locking the wheel(s) on and off until they had worn the flat down so it wouldn't be noticed when the manager inspected the tram for damage. Thanks for the video.
