Brilliant video mate. All the great channels out there should be encouraged to do this. It doesn’t matter how experienced you are, we can all learn something. No I don’t do Tip 4 😞. When you live as far from the sea as I do and only get to it a few times a year to fish, the excitement of getting bait in the water as soon as possible is overwhelming. Promise I will do tip 4 from now on 👍🏻. Please keep those videos coming. Love this format

Great video very informative covers all the important basics that so many people just don't do. Audio was great considering how windy it looked out there.

Had my first session on the Bristol channel past week. Had a holiday booked at Brean sands so after chatting with a local I headed down 3 hrs before high. Had 5 thornbacks in 3 hours. My top tips for fishing that stretch would be to travel light as you will be moving back up the beach every 10 mins on the flood. Also make sure your reels are fully loaded as you will fishing at distance with the tide.

Yes I do tip 4, and on my last cast I leave the lead out while I bait my rig to make sure the lead is holding. Thanks for sharing.👍 I'm sure lots of anglers will take something from it. Great video Jansen, I am still on my SL20s-I have had them for more than 20 years so it is probably time to upgrade to something with stronger gearing-I do feel under a bit of pressure when retrieving a decent fish over rough ground.

Great to watch keep up the great videos always enjoy getting out myself and when I can’t watch your videos lol living in north Kent it’s great to see different venues I’m heading to blue anchor in sept and definitely taking my rods any advice ? Of all my years of sea fishing not had a huss spotted or conger yet and would hope to get something different :-)

I'm gonna be booking a week at st,Audries, Minehead in a month or so. I'd be really grateful if anyone could tell me the best sort of dates for smooth hounds and catching some conger, thank you so very much for anyone who replies, I've never been to the Bristol channel before and haven't even sea fished for years but I really don't want to pay for a weeks caravan to spend a full day not catching anything cos the only reason for going is the fishing.
