@@anthonymatute6057 Three quarters of them wouldnt know a dart from a vodka red bull ...and multi culturalism isny going to help matters either ..The classic darts era has been ...and gone .. !!!!
My one time there was the 2004 semi finals, and Kevin Painter fucked my doubles bet lol, didn’t expect him to wallop Bob Anderson 0-6. Had a dicky belly next day after the ropey looking chicken in a basket, place stank, your feet got stuck to the floor and I nearly passed out from the heat lol but I agree, the atmosphere was amazing and I think they should have another tournament there, just a weekend one
I just got into darts for the first time since I saw the embassy darts near xmas back in 1999-2000 as a kid, as I've tried to watch older matches it's extremely clear that Eric Bristow is darts answer to boxing's Muhammed Ali, or football's George Best, snooker's Alex Higgins and obviously I could go on, but what shocks me as I try to find any of his games I'm only seeing old poor quality vhs copies, it seems even the official BDO channel have made no attempt at getting any tapes from the bbc as their channel is full of other peoples poor quality video tapes. I'm not sure how long this PDC have been around but I just wonder if they have any more of Eric's matches, as for this game, I have to assume this was all that was aired on tv? as obviously if they had more they would share it, but I'm just gobsmacked that darts most famous and special player of all time has only one official match on youtube and one exhibition match in good image quality, both thanks to this channel including this short video. So crazy though, the bbc will wait until every last person with interest is dead before they'd even so much as consider sharing their archive. Please excuse my grammar, assuming anybody see's this.
