Littler averaging 110, 116 and 110, but then gets beaten when he can "only" average a fraction under 107 for a tournament average of 111. Unbelievably good. All the same, Humphries is a worthy winner.
I wouldn't be surprised to see Humphries hit 2 million on the order of merit by the end of the year. You have to do ridiculous things to beat him at the moment and even then its usually not enough!
Even if it looks like he is getting outplayed in a leg he will hit the big 3 figure shots at the right times. The only people that good at that aspect were taylor and mvg. It's unreal composure under pressure to hit those checkouts. The two lukes, Smith and mvg are going to entertain us for years what a time to be watching darts
Also shows how good the pros after when they check leg after leg out with one or 2 shots. Missing is contagious too I reckon. But yeah, we ALL woulda got a shot at double in that leg 🤣
The nerves got the better of Zonneveld at some key moments, but he played well throughout the tournament. That slightly sideways throwing action looks really awkward, but it obviously works for him. Too late to change it now.
UNBELIEVABLE TOURNAMENT!!!!! THE STANDARD OF DARTS TONIGHT WAS ON A WHOLE ANOTHER LEVEL!!!!! LUKE HUMPHRIES DOMINATED THIS TOURNAMENT LIKE A CHAMP!!!!!
@@richardboss3358 though in a very bad way to be honest… nicholson is probably the worst commentator in darts… much of the time he doesn’t even talk about darts.
@@anthonymatute6057 Exactly Paul Nicholson + Dan Dawson = Mute I wish there was a way of turning off the commentary yet still hearing the crowd and scorer etc.
The two Lukes are incredible. They are making others raise their games. Love Humpries, love Leeds. But darts is so entertaining right now with lots of new faces and winners on the tour.
Wow. What a way to close out the European Tour of 2024. Only Humphries could've stopped Littler here. But yet another incredible match between them. We're gonna need a highlights compilation of all their matches in 2024! Bit gutted for Zonneveld. He couldn't quite get that last leg that would've sealed his last gasp spot in the European Championship. Looking forward to that all the same.
Top half of the draw had Cross, Gezzy, Chizzy, Bunting, Rock, Dobey, Gurney, Cullen and Michael Smith. Who would imagine Huybrechts climbing on top of it 😄 But props to him, he survived some tough games. Yeah, it's Woodhouse, Drtil, Wattimena and Zonneveld, but still.
Agreed. You can only play the opponent and he beat those in his way. Wish he wouldn't give up when behind though. Thought finals effort lacking when behind
@@evannierenberg1007 I don't think he could do something. Humphries steamroller through tournament. 100.7 average vs Edhouse and 103+ through rest four games. Lad is just unplayable 🤷
I understand the sentiment but it wasn't the final. Kim had a great tournament and deserved to be in final. Just outclassed on the day by the best player in the world.
@@Maxxx568No, it's still way too obvious, when De Decker beat Luke, you could just tell by the thumbnail of them hugging that Luke lost. PDC are still so bad with the thumbnail and title, why they can't just show one of the players who we know are playing throwing a dart and just call it by what round or day it is. PDC worse YT channel spoiler I've ever seen
This "Two Luke" era is generating some thrilling matches of darts. Love watching them go toe to toe..... Amazing tournament on sooo many levels. Great times for darts and too witness. 🎯
Luke Humphries is just so special... Well deserved champion but if Littler wants to be one of the best ever he could do it in a heart beat... To play like that at 17 without fully dedicating yourself is insane... Look out if he does... What a rivalry the two Luke's could have ...
Thought he was turning a corner with his attitude over the past year or so, but he’s reverted back to type these last couple of months. Acts like an arrogant prick when he wins, turns into a miserable prick who can’t show any respect when he loses. Cullen is a knob in his own right but it’s easy to see why he can’t stand the bloke. He’s just so unlikeable to me.
He was gutted and so mad at self for botching double 16 then double 8. Needs to slow the heck down. That being said yes compose yourself and congratulate opponent always
If anyone doubts how good Luke Humphries is, this should clear all those doubts. Nobody got close to Littler before Humphries beat him, and the final showed the best vs the rest. Amazing talent on show these days, a pleasure to watch
Who is the editor of these?!? its shocking for an Official page. You can guess who will win a leg from when the edit highlight starts, ie as someone is gong for a checkout, the next guy will miss and so on...just need to see more of each leg. plus you have MVG and Littler smashing in stupid number against each other as the graphic shows after 3 legs or so but we haven't seen any of it except a couple checkouts. Give yourself another half an hour to edit or something
@@thangq2684his head shatters while playing important games. If he wants to win he needs to work on his mind under pressure. That separates him from cool hand at the moment.
@@thangq2684i dont think people are too bothered about scores or stats....pretty much irrelevant having the highest scoring average if you dont win the tournament. Great player, still a kid but gets rattled too often by the crowd (who are usually on his side ironically). He probably needs to learn how to win ugly, especially playing multiple games over a weekend.
Luke littler looked happy until he faced Humphries, then his emotions started coming out and he started missing. He was cruising through the tournament until that match
Luke Littler is only 17. Sometimes it looks like he is for ages on tour but it's only for nearly a year. Give him some time. Humphries is better at age 28 now than he was at age 17. So Littler probably will be.
The fact that the brackets can be so mismatched is crazy to me. Humphries vs De-decker and MVG vs Littler should have been semis, just abolish the other side of the bracket at that point, ridiculous.
