Eli's regular season W/L records are nothing to write home about, but his 2 SB MVPs against Brady's Patriots, including the then undefeated 2007 team means you can't tell the story of the NFL without him. He was pretty durable and had the current longest starting streak when Ben McAdoo ended it. McAdoo is now a minor footnote solely because of that. Brady's sole remaining football grudge is against Eli and the 07 Giants for ruining what could have been the first perfect season since the 72 Dolphins. And Peyton loves to remind Brady that he lost to his little brother in the biggest game of the year...twice!
Peyton With the Colts won a SB against the Bears and lost one against the Saints. With the Broncos he lost one to the Seahawks and won one against the Carolina Panthers. He won 5 NFL league MVPs and broke a lot of career and single season passing records. Eli didn't have all that but he did win both Super Bowls he played in and both against a heavily favored Tom Brady's Patriots. And in both those Super Bowls he had some of the most iconic SB plays of all time.
Peyton was definitely the more talented one, if it wasn't for Tom Brady he may have gone down as the best quarterback of all time. However, Eli actually won two Super Bowls while facing Tom Brady which is something no other quarterback accomplished. So it's an interesting quirk, Peyton is far more consistent but Eli had a weird knack for coming in clutch the few chances he had.
Well that's certainly an opinion, and it would be in the minority. I'm taking the 5 time MVP with 2 rings and no asterisks over the 0 time MVP whose only ring was aided by illegal bounties.
@vct454 That's good analytics... You have those stats? How many people think that? What percentage in the minority am I? Still have little kids insecure "well actually ur opinion is in the minority" (vct 2024) Games 268 payton 287 Brees Completion % P 65.3 B 67.7 Yard average P 7.7 B 7.6 Average a game P 270 B 280 Int 251 P 243 B Fantasy points 4686P 5185 B I said based on skill and talent not who had a better defense so rings don't count for skill. But once again even with the stats that's just my opinion; vct u simple minded, disappointment.
If he puts his arm "on tape," that means on video tape or film so coaches can watch and review player and opponent techniques. Everything is digital nowdays but we still say "tape."
I’m pretty sure when they do these there’s only a handful of people like the head coach and camera men that know what’s really going on. So ya a lot of these people talking on the sidelines have no idea. Btw between Eli and Peyton…. Peyton was by far the better QB. If it hadn’t been for Tom Brady being there the exact same time with the patriots then Peyton would be in the GOAT conversation. But there was a Tom Brady #1 and Peyton and Montana are often the #2 up for debate. Mahomes is making his way up there but has some more years to go
Hi Kabir, the way to throw a spiral is to grab the ball, and I put my fingers on the laces, and throw the ball, pointy end in the direction of the pass, and let your fingers push down as you release the ball. This gives it the spin. You have to try it a few times, but it's really quite simple.
It's like Archie Manning always said,,,Eli was made for New York,,,Payton wasn't,,,that's why he convinced him to return to college for his senior season insteadof entering the draft where he would have been selected #1 overall by the Jets,,,Payton Manning would have never been "Payton Manning" probably would have been another David Carr
