Greece has been called a crossroad from East to West..and there is so much influence of East and West throughout greek music. Satti has been a true Greek as an artist..and she has been putting on display the traditional and the urban sounds of Greece. Hands down the most charismatic artist of Greece. Fashion wise..she's also the most fresh and authentic..being herself..she stands out..cause she is a real 🌟 I don't care if she wins Eurovision for Greece. She has won my heart..and hope she keeps enjoying life..create beautiful music to share with us..and hope more people in the world get to enjoy her magic! For me, over all, it seems it's a very old Greek traditional sound but the drums in the beginning has a little flavor of India ... I think thats why we think Bollywood. I love Greek music, they have a sound mix Europe and Orient....simply Greek. Filakia...kisses ...here from Sweden

Satirical, original, combinatorial, funny, a song that at every turn turns everything upsets and rouses you. The song is supported by an amazing singer (as shown in the song's introduction with her high-pitched voice) and its rhythm is unbeatable. The more I listen to it, the more I like it. Wish Marina the best for her song!

Greeks aren't Latinos. But Latino culture roots in ancient Rome and the Roman empire was heavily influenced by ancient Greek culture. So in some way Latino culture has Greek roots. Greek culture and music is incredibly diverse and rich for such a small country and there's two main reasons for this: 1) Greeks since ancient times tend to have a huge diaspora and hence already in ancient times you found Greeks living in an area between Ukraine, Spain, Egypt, and Iran. Their culture and the local cultures in all those places influenced each other. 2) geographically Greece is located between Europe, Asia and Africa. So it's always been a crossroad of people, goods, ideas, inventions, music, food, etc.

Greeks are mediteranian essentially in rough translation from the Greek word meaning middle earthers. They connect East and West both and they are kinda in the middle in terms of culture. Not exactly Easterners not exactly Westerners. They are warm, fun and welcoming people and they get a lot of sunny days during the year. Good luck to Marina!

Greek music often resembles middle eastern music because it has been greatly influenced by refugees (Greek and Armenian) that sought shelter in Greece after they were forced to flee the country in the Burning of Smyrna (1922) The city was renamed Izmit by the Turks and it located in Asia Minor in West Asia opposite to Greece where they are separated from the Aegean sea. Soon after that new genres were born such as rebetiko. The first instrument you hear is called bouzouki (μπουζούκι) and it has been widely used in Greek music. Since you liked sounds like that I suggest that you listen to more greek music, especially from the period from 1920 to 1950.. The high pitched sound is from a double reed wind instrument that is called Zurna that has deep roots in eastern Europe and Asia as well.

This song has a little bit of all cultures, except Greece! At the beginning its purely Indian, then it becomes a rap song and then Balkan folklore song. Basically its a mosaic caricature of songs, which is so crazy that becomes kind of good at the end. 🙃🙃🤣🤣Definitely though, it does not remind of traditional Greek song at all!!

This isn t the classic style of Greek singing (as far as the placement of the voice is concerned) but the music is Greek. You should listen to the piano version too.
