It was kinda stupid to use a Swedish sentence with the word 'sex' in it because even though it means six in that particular line, non Swedish speakers are of course going to think it's about sex 😂 But thanks for thinking Swedish was the sexiest language!

As a swede I think Norwegian is more cute and “bubbly” rather than sexy. Danish is more sexy due to the melody in the language, Finnish is too harsh and in a way Icelandic is too but not as much as Finnish. But, when it comes to my own language (Swedish) it can be both really sexy and a real turn off depending on the dialect. I am a sucker for how they speak on the island of Gotland. ❤😊 And in areas of Gothenburg, Halmstad and Karlskrona they can make my ❤️ beat a bit harder as well. 😉😍

I think they're all charming in their own way. Icelandic sounds majestic and ancient, Norwegian is the most intelligible and district, Swedish is cute and sexy, Finnish is powerful and direct and Danish is smooth and rounded. I really don't like mumbling and unintelligible languages, so Danish is out, but the the others are all good 😜

@matshjalmarsson3008
@matshjalmarsson3008 Год назад
It depends a lot on which dialect, southern Sweden sounds (to me) a lot like Danish, some Northern dialects have quite a lot in common with Norwegian. But in general, to me Danish is rougher, more guttural. And Norwegian sounds funny, mostly because we have some slang words from them, it doesn't sound serious, and the melody of the language seems a bit exaggerated. I mean we have the melody and the tones too, but too me Norwegians overdo it. Icelandic is cool, but I wouldn't say sexy, I guess if you're really into Vikings. Finnish is a completely different animal since it's roots is a completely different line of languages. I'm not to fond of the sound, but again it depends a lot on which dialect/accent.

Danish, Norwegian and Swedish are very close to each other, but Finnish is from a completely different language family. Its not even a European language, in fact. Icelandic resembles the most Old Norse, the language spoken by Vikings, and the common ancestor of all the Nordic languages (excluding Finnish) spoken today. Old Norse didnt have that distinct "singy-sound" that marks Norwegian and Swedish today, the factor that makes them sound "soft", compared to Icelandic, for example.

Norwegians have a very sing songy melody that a lot of times ends higher up than when they began the sentence. This is typical for Norwegian I find. And to me it is a bit how children speak making Norwegian quite UNsexy.. For a lot of other germanic speakers.. This makes the Norwegian language sound like they are constantly asking questions.. There are remnants of this melody in western dialects of Swedish.. But generally our language prosidy is a little more complex than the norwegian.. WE also have a lot more variation within Swedish.. Some dialects being extremely archaic with words that haven't changed since Old Norse was spoken..

Swedes: As long as we beat the Danes! Norwegians: As long as we beat the Swedes! Danes: As long as we beat the Swedes! Finns: As long as we beat the Swedes! Icelanders: All their languages are feeble! Why are we wasting our time with this? The Swedes are wondering why everybody is picking on them, everybody (including the Norwegians) is wondering why no one is picking on the Norwegians, the Finns are offended that nobody wants to beat them, and nobody notices that the Icelanders have left the building.

Swedish is way more sing songy than Norwegian. Dunno where foreigners get that from as we don't even sound like that: ''hurdy gurdy''. All these languages has a ton of dialects, in Norway in the hundreds if not thousands, and depening on where heavily influenced by the countries that either occupied Norway, or that area at the time, the country they border to etc: Dutch, German, Danish, Swedish, Russian. Icelandic and Danish is the most sexy in my opinion. Germanic languages in general are quite ugly, especially Dutch and German, and I say that as a Norwegian, and my mom is a retired Norwegian language teacher. I like Suomi aka Finnish because the Proto Fins, Sami, and Estonians migrated from Siberia Asia distant related to all indigenous people of the Americas, before itnermixing with Western Hunter Gatheres (original Europeans from the Middle East dark, with blueyes), Anatolian farmers from Turkey, Yamnaya from Ukraine, and lastly Germanic farmers aka Vikings, and brought blonde hair to Northern Europe. Blue eyes originated in the Middle East, the craddle of all white people. All this is proven by linguistic, genetic and archaeological evidence.

She didn't twist anything. How Danish is spoken depends very much on where in the country you are from. The potato in the mouth joke is applicaple to some dialects, but not all and the one she spoke is the one you'll hear on Sealand, North of Copenhagen, probably the most common one.

She spoke with such ease and familiarity, as if she were chatting with a close friend or enjoying a snug evening with her partner, wrapped in a cozy blanket and soft lighting. It's true that Danish may not be considered the most melodious language, but let me tell you, Swedes and Norwegians really underestimate how they sound themselves. It's as if they have this preconceived notion about the Danish language that they simply can't comprehend, so they instantly shut themselves off from it instead of giving it a fair chance. If only they were willing to give it a try, they would realize just how effortlessly they could understand everything.
