Stunning! Beautiful scenery! Thank you so much Julie and Stephen for sharing this special video! Lovely! I've never seen the movie, but will definitely add it to my watch list! Thank you!
I’m going to rewatch Rebecca now because I totally missed recognizing the film locations. 😊 Rebecca is my all time favourite book. I have watched all three versions. I have always been an Anglophile and have devoured Agatha Christie and all of the other mystery writers. I especially like the ones written in the 30s and 40s. In the book Rebecca talks about the rhododendrons along the drive before Manderley comes into view and that was my inspiration to plant 20 rhododendrons along my drive😊. That was 3 houses ago and sadly the recent owner cut them down😢 They would have been 24 years old and well over my head. Anyways, you channel gives me the British kick I always enjoy😊. Cheers from “British” Columbia 🇨🇦
I've seen the different versions of 'Rebecca' and I've enjoyed them all. My favorite is the 1940 production with Sir Laurence Olivier, directed by Alfred Hitchcock. Dame Judith Andersons portrayal of Mrs. Danvers is quite unforgettable. Now I'm going to rewatch the Netflix 'Rebecca' and watch out for Mapperton scenes.
My absolute favorite version of Rebecca is with Charles Dance and Emilia Fox, simply stunning as part of the film was shot in Monaco. I never tire of watching it……Timeless!
You could give a Movie Tour when you open back up to the public as another source of income? Our local estate, Parkwood, the home of R.S. McLaughlin auto baron , has such a tour. Perhaps Mapperton doesn't have tours.
This was so pleasing to watch. 😍 Gorgeous, gorgeous looking place. I loved Rebecca 2020 so much. ❤ I was wondering if you met the cast, Armie Hammer and Lily James? Any memories? Pics 😬?
I haven’t met anyone with a title that I’m aware of. However, I’ve committed a faux pas and too embarrassed to share here. I’m wondering how you educated your family in the aristocratic protocol. BTW in some parts of the US we call it flatware and only silverware when it’s actually silver.
