Great review. I think warlord make some of the east starter boxes in the industry. Even if you don’t want 2 artillery pieces or 2 Bren carriers, you get the core of an entire force that you can add to with only a few more units. I love the Africa theater. I have the DAK starter set waiting to be worked on

DAK set was pretty good too IIRC.

3:33 The reason the USMC used Maxim guns is the same reason they were stuck with Springfields for so long, the US Ordinance Department isn't super concerned about them nor is the USN so the Marines usually get whatever left over 2nd rate scraps the Army doesn't want anymore.

Every time I see one of these I'm tempted to start bolt action. The plastic troop spues look really good. Great review!

Great kit, wonderful sprue. Though, with the release of the Commonwealth Infantry sprue, I really hope they make a separate starter for those models.

Very interesting unboxing - thanks! Darn, that's a really tempting box! I'd need to get a Crusader or Valentine from Rubicon and a lot more yellow paint though...

I really enjoy these videos. FYI the term scrim during WW2 referred to the nets or face veils worn over the back or face. Later on, 70’s etc it referred to the nylon shapes that were attached to camouflage nets. Helmets in WW2 were camouflaged with what were described in the manuals of the time as ‘hessian knots’. Effectively these were just strips cut from old sacks tied to the helmet’s net.

You may need a crew of X amount to man and fire the 25pdr,unless your name is Talaiasi Labalaba,who manned a 25pdr single-handedly at mirbat

How do you field the 6pdr AT gun and the 25pdr Howitzer? Surely you can only take one artillery piece per reinforced platoon, and there’s not enough infantry to make 2 reinforced platoons?
@ModellingforAdvantage
@ModellingforAdvantage 8 месяцев назад
You can make a legal reinforced platoon with 12 guys if you want to - you don't have to fill all the slots, or take squads larger than 5...
