The Concorde was once the fastest commercial aircraft in the world. In stark contrast, its transit down the Hudson River was much slower Wednesday. CBS New York's Christina Fan was there for all the action.
It was such a glorious marvel of engineering and with its demise the passenger aircraft industry went backwards. One day, hopefully, we will catch up with what this plane could do.
@@bilalahmed2123I Don’t think airlines would want the Concorde due to its high maintenance nature, Since airlines are under pressure to save a lot of money, Airlines buying a Concorde maybe a bad idea for airlines since its expensive to operate

It’s such a beautiful aircraft. It should be flying the world, instead of remaining stationary at some museum. BTW, the second woman giving her thoughts on the Concorde is very beautiful.
@@marshallluckyno it isn't!! it's sat in the elements for years which is fucking stupid in itself!!you can't send it off for a repaint and then take it for a spin..... And even if it was to fly again which it won't...the French or British would be First to get it air worthy.
Neither did the CIA's A12, but it's there. It's an aviation museum. Just because it's on an aircraft carrier, doesn't mean non naval units shouldn't be there. Concorde has just as much history with New York as she does with London or Paris. If there's one place she deserves to be outside UK and France, it's New York.
Who knew how many people a plane that is now used as a way of describing sunk costs would make so many people wet 😂 These planes were a massive fail and you can’t justify throwing more money at the burning pile
