He basically turned down a ton of money because they wanted to change his show. So he said fuck em. He went to Africa to get peace and clear his mind. But the media said he ran away to Africa and didn’t tell anyone, and they even tried to say he was crazy and mentality unstable. But all of that was a lie and as u can see he bounced back bigger and better than ever. Love Dave
And the O. J. Refers to orange juice, hence the nickname "Juice." He was also a hall of fame running back. They call him "Juice" because of his initials, which are O. J. The same as the abbreviation for the popular fruit drink orange juice.
I think you guys should react to something about the O.J. Simpson trial. Not only would it give you some much needed context for these stories, but it’s a crazy events in of itself. The trial gripped the nation and oddly enough, it’s why the Kardashians are famous.
When he said they were both missing he meant you didn’t see Chappelle after he quit Chappelle Show around that time and its also the same for Chris Tucker when you don’t see or hear about an Actors for years

Yes, he was offered a renewal on his contract and disagreed with it in principle. He was the number one rated comedy show on cable at the time, and the network was offering him peanuts and they had the rights to all his intellectual property and his name in perpetuity. So, he just walked away from filming and didn’t tell anyone. He travelled to South Africa to get away and gain a little perspective and then returned to the US but was unable to work, because of ongoing legal issues with Comedy Central. It took over a decade of fighting in order for him to regain the rights to his own name and his own material. BTW Neal Brennan was his writing partner at the time.
I played golf with my dad, OJ, and his friend. This was probably a couple of years after his trial. The guy could barely swing a golf club and was barely able to walk around.
Dave took the “low hanging fruit” here. He knows “OJ did it!” Is the ONE thing ANY black comedian can say, that will get a positive response even from conservative white audiences. He put a funny spin on him taking the low hanging fruit though😂
