I missed the Sarah McLaughlin one during the game (#10). That was hilarious. Her song “Angel” (along with her voice over) is featured in those sad and depressing ASPCA commercials. Great punch line and kudos to her for participating.

They didn't have my favorite. It's the one where two guys were fighting for the commercial, one promoting Miller Lite & the other Coors Lite. At the end, a 3rd person comes in and says "Actually, this is a Blue Moon commercial." I expected it to be here.

I liked the Tubi ad where the editors messes with you & think that someone is changing the channel. It genuinely messes with you, and pissed off so many people, and for that, I love it! (EDIT: autocorrect messed so many things up)

The Mom from Matida is the Actress Rhea Perlman. She played Carla on the TV show Cheers. She also played on the TV show Taxi. She was married to Danny Devito. He played the dad in Matida. Love Steve Martin commercial. My Favorite Commercial was Dave Grohl from The Foo Fighters Royal Crown paying a tribute to Canada and a brief Nod to Rush. Dave Grohl's favorite Rock Band from Toronto Canada. YES! Matida is a great movie.

Avocados come from both Mexico and California. Just depends on the season. Puerto Rico also grows them, but for some reason they are not allowed to sell them in the States.

The Dunkin' Donuts ad with Ben Affleck was the best one. I'm, of course, biased because I live in the land of Dunkin'. The outtakes from the ad that Dunkin' posted the day after are even funnier.

What I find funniest about the "Rockstar" one is "Hi, I'm Oswald." Because Ozzy's birth name is JOHN. (Which leads into me noting that Tony Iommi apparently at one point in his life answered to his middle name, Frank, which is my middle name, so I'm half of Sabbath. Even if my source, which I'm pretty sure is a guitar magazine from my youth, just flipped it, I think it still fits.)

The top ones that I saw were Doritios because Sir Elton always wins, and that dam Farmer's Dog commercial. Avocados was funny. The rest were mostly forgettable, but at least it wasn't full of crypto ads.

Dr Pepper is the only is the only major soft drink that is not under Coke or Pepsi. That is why in one county it goes on sale with Pepsi but Coke in the next county.

The Super Bowl ads used to be significantly funnier or engaging and almost matched the popularity of the game itself. The networks figured they could hijack that popularity and continually increase the rate they charge to debut them during the Super Bowl. Over time some of the companies that were the biggest advertisers during the SB must have done cost-benefit analysis and determined that SB commercials were no longer worth the expense. They either quit making them all together or only create 1 ad instead of 2-4 per game like they used to and now just concentrate on their normal marketing strategies.

Remember some of these commercials play more than once during the Superbowl so they could pay $20,000,000 or more. Plus, some ads have particular spots such as before the kick-off or half-time and there are some "filler" commercials that come in when a spot become available such as if there is an injury on the field and they take a short commercial break while the person if being helped by medical staff or after a touchdown or other unplanned breaks in the broadcast. Also, some groups paid for longer commercials. Google had a 90- second spot and some are short at 15 to 30 seconds. All of this goes into the pricing. There are also local commercials that run on the local TV channel that is broadcasting the game and they are relatively cheap due to only local viewing but effective due to the large audience.

I didn’t think the commercials were that funny this year. Bummer Okay as a Californian I eat avocados multiple times per week. And yes Mexico is well known for their avocados but I think my jaw dropped when you said you had never had one. They are delicious!

Collectively this years were better than last years, but still not as good as they used to be. I think the Melissa McCarthy one was the funniest this year, and it didn’t make the list - though I’ve already forgotten what it was a commercial for. I know that evil rabbits one from this year will stick with me for some time.

James and Millie, Workday is based out of the Bay Area. Their headquarters is here in the East Bay in Pleasanton, CA. I don't live too far from there. There was an article in the news here about that multimillion dollar Super Bowl ad that you saw that Ozzy Osborne, Joan Jett and KISS. The article was about the fact that Workday had just announced they were laying off 400 employees and then shortly after that now they are spending millions on a Super Bowl commercial!

Milie is right about the Pepsi-Cola can not being open. It's THE TIMING between the drinking to swallowing to speaking process. With or without a straw. NOPE!! The three-part process takes a little bit longer. UNLESS ONE WANTS TO STRANGLE. The throat can only hold liquid or air. Basic physics: NO two things can occupy the same space at the same time. I think eagle-eyed Milli might have a point. Too small of a picture for me to tell. I also think for a commercial it is fine. BTW, continuity directors on films pays a LOT of money. If Milli has the knack for it. It has been a few years ago (several?) when some small companies were plopping money down for SB adds. Companies you never heard of. Square Space might have been one of them back then. Many of them did their research & hit it big with SB ads. A few, not so much.

They're legendary. Usually. This year? Well, clearly, a new generation has taken over because I barely understood half of them. However -- #1 was well chosen. It was the best of them all. And it was great to see Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul back together, even if it was only a commercial. If you haven't seen Breaking Bad, watch it. Now. You must. It's a requirement.

Mexico is the top producer of avocados. US (California) is number two. I frickin' HATE avocados. Watching someone eat a big green glob of Guacamole makes me retch. I's hard to find Sushi in the US without them polluting it with avocado. The US stopped avocado imports from Mexico after someone threatened a US inspector. I don't know if it started back up, and I don't care.

OK. Whoever picked out the top 10 missed the funniest video. Where was the Dunkin’ Donuts commercial with Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck. That was the only commercial that I found funny throughout the whole Super Bowl.
