I left the UK to scoop up cheap property and now I'm pissed off because I can't afford to move back to the UK. What did you think would happen? The UK prices would remain the same from the time you left. You've had your cake but now you can't have any more.
Today the price in this area is higher that 2012 crisis. This area have recover the price an increase. People that sell at this time, must be crazy today could be double now, it is overprice other time same as Madrid or Barcelona.
When you are old it is very important to not rent or have a mortgage. You should save your money and completely own your home. It won't matter if the value is high or low since you do not plan to sell. Spanish people are having a difficult time too.

We paid for it, when you where born whose taxes paid for your birth? was it you? no of course not you weren't working, but I was and all those others now retired were as well. Our contributions paid for your birth for your pre natal care for post natal for your immunisation for your nursery for your schooling on and on paid for by me and all the other pensioner expats. when you retire you'll not want some gobby haflwit saying your not entitled to spend it how you want.
Most sold their UK property and bought their own properties they have 2 pensions (work and state on which they pay UK tax they don't claim anything and health care is reciprocal meaning the UK government pays (Its cheaper than the UK NHS) iThose are the facts.
At the moment there is a reciprocity between the NHS and the Spanish Health Service. Many of these ex-pats believe that it will continue and the Spanish have not stated what the position will be if and when Brexit happens. Take a guess.
Our pension s are the same here the price s in the shop have gone up and every bill that comes in are arising so much its only our health services that are after

A Labour Government to fix the mess??? When the last Labour lot disappeared, they left a note in the Treasury Office to say there was no money left! And remember, it was Tony Blair who cancelled the building of several new ships for the Royal Navy, and also scrubbed a new hospital building project...... The likes of Diane Abbot and Angela Rayner couldn't possibly run a country. In fact I wouldn't allow them to run my bath. I seriously doubt Angela Rayner could run an Early Learning Centre.. She left school with more children than she had O levels, so she's obviously adept at something. Sadly though, that isn't one of the skills or abilities you might need to run a country..... Tis but my opinion, but I can't see Britain under another Labour Government for at least 15 years, maybe more......
