@@F28ajfr most redditors have a negative iq. They think they’re smart by correcting the most simple mistakes like if god forbid u use the wrong version of the word there in a sentence
My mom, aunts and cousins were in England 2 weeks ago. They said the food was completely unseasoned and just not good lol. They didnt even get salt and pepper options. They loved the trip but they hated the food lol
I died a little when he ordered chicken when ribs and brisket are RIGHT THERE! Don't get me wrong, I'd wreck that chicken, just not when ribs and brisket are options.
@@TheCheshier88no we don't, if a restaurant gives you the chicken with the skin on it you eat the skin. They gave it to you that way for a reason they would have just given you a naked chicken breast or a naked chicken leg if that's what they intended you to have. No passes 😂😂😂
As a Native Texan the fact that the guy was eating his chicken with a knife and fork, then discarded the skin absolutely blew my mind. Pick the chicken up with your fingers and eat it!
Served chicken at church as a young kid, and I didn’t want to offend anybody and I started eating with knife and fork, as did a few other people. Then, this old retired B-17 pilot from WWII says , “ God gave us thumbs for a reason.” And he just picks up a chicken thigh and eats it. I have never been shy about using my hands to eat chicken since that day. RIP Bro. Mix of Chillicothe Ohio.
One simply DOES NOT eat ribs with a knife and fork. FINGERS people. The skin of a chicken is the juiciest most flavorful part. You don't eat BBQ for your health. It's for your soul.
I was wondering why no one has replied to this, but I guess it's one of those things that goes without saying. Chicken skin is the best, especially when it has been done even remotely right.
I don't know about Britain. But here in America. Ribs and brisket are top things to order Hotlinks are awesome and if the restaurant has burnt ends you must try them. Should give you a better idea of where burnt ends come from. It is the burnt areas on a brisket after smoking. But they're not charded tasteless since they've tasted fantastic.
“Brisket…with less fat, please.” You only said that because you just don’t know what happens. To that fat cap when it is properly cooked low and slow, to perfection.
Well it's Labor Day here in the States and that's huge day for bbq here. I have 12 pounds of chicken I rubbed last night and 2 slabs of ribs rubbed in the fridge. Getting ready to go clean the grill and smoker and get them going.
Reminder everyone this was BEFORE everyone got the memo that Joel doesn’t like beef, and Texas BBQ is all about the beef. (Now if only we could train Joel to go for, if not pork, then turkey, but one step at a time I spose…)
Barbecue is different all around the US. Different spices / marinades and meats used. Different ways of cooking used, not to even mention having sauces or no sauce. I'm quite sure different barbecue restaurants will do their barbecue differently so eating at one restaurant is not a great representation of Texas barbecue or barbecues in general... lol!
I don't ever want to see them eating pizza because I fear there will be a knife and fork involved😭 And they would leave the crust behind the same way that the skin was left behind. It's just like way back when the British went around the world looking for spices but then they it's just like the British went around the world looking for spices but then they refuse to use any of them.
I LOVE Lia's "apron" around her neck! BBQ....Texas, Nash, or North Carolina....we all think our BBQ is best. This is a SERIOUS issue!! In the South, you will find BBQ festivals of all sorts.....all have their unique way of prepping BBQ. Not sure why it's so much a "Southern" thing, but it just is. Love you guys!! 🥰
I live in Texas and like BBQ, but it can't compete with a nice, juicy steak when it comes to that rich umami flavor. It has to do with the chemical reactions produced by grilling or baking in the oven vs. smoking. The same is true of probably the best grilled meat in the world - Brazilian grill, which can be found in restaurants all over America called churrascarias.
If that’s got you racking your brain, try drinking this one in Texas bbq is only one type of bar-b-que. There’s Kansas City style, Memphis style and Carolina style. All with different techniques, sauces and different meats. Memphis and KC are both more into pork while Texas is more into beef.
