Richie's last name has gone from Axleson to Tsuchiya at the Brands Hatch weekend, from going full Drift Mode around Druids in the Cortina, to getting the Eagle's tailfeathers just a bit free in one corner or another. Looks like a fun weekend for Richie...especially after the nightmare at Spa and the disappointment at Le Mans.
When my grandkids ask me who was your favourity F1 driver from the olden times I'll say...sit down little one I'll tell you great tale of Richie Axelson
I absolutely love the history you provide in each video!!! Keep up the great work!!! I tried open wheel on Forza 7 with this car and wow! I can't imagine what this car feels like in a real sim!!!!
What great result for Richie! This 66 series is amazing. I think I never leave a comment in the Le Mans 66 video, but just to make a note: it's incredible that video. I hope our hero Richie have a win in La Sarthe someday.
Well done Richie. Can't wait for that V12 engine and give Brabham and run for his money. Great video and 2 in one day. We need 1 everyday and they sure do put a smile on my face. Cheers :)
If you climb to the top of the radio tower, which isn't there yet in this version, you can see the entire Indy circuit at least. A great view for watching the touring cars, highly recommended!
Jake, let me know if I'm wrong, but that shot at 3:17 is a recreation of the photo taken at Silverstone in 1965. you can tell who is who by the names. in the actual photo, Graham Hill (and his mustache) is 3rd from the camera and Jackie Stewart is closest.
Great video (again 😃). I think I was more scared than you during those early overtakes through the corners.😱 As to spectating at Brands v Silverstone. I went to the F1 at Brands in 86 and Silverstone in 87 (both have happy Mansell memories). They weren't too different to '66. Brands was so much better than Silverstone. Much closer to the track, more interesting corners and there were some viewing places where you could see a lot of the first half of the track. And the noise of the mighty 1.5 turbos between the trees in the back section.... Silverstone was flat and featureless in comparison, and you couldn't really see more than 1 corner at a time. Nowadays Silverstone has really improved for spectators with more grandstands, raised viewing banks and the infield section. But back in 1987 I was really disappointed when F1 made a long term commitment to Silverstone. (Worked out ok though). 😀
Great content, do you have any problems using the new sim gear with these old titles, GP legends and GTR2?. I want to upgrade from logitech pedals to HE Sprints but scared I won't be able to play these old games which I still play often.
Kinda funny you are your own closest rival in the constructors list, I don’t think you’ll catch yourself, unless things go drastically wrong, in which case it is mathematically possible 😹
What a start of the race, love your channel especially the video one about the Swiss circuit Bremgarten which I saw first a couple months ago. Sometimes hard to follow though because they’re extremely long. Would love to see some kind of series going on soon which are shorter and more condensed like 10min
Can you please give me a review on the physics and ffb in Grand Prix Legends, you make me want to buy it with your fantastic commentary. How does it compare to Assetto corsa , for example. Thanks Peter
I would think the old dingle dell would be a bit different to this. It used to be more of a chicane that could be taken as a right handee sort of like at Barber. This seems like the modern layout.
