Hey don't u guys over there pay taxes as well, and arent u under the Monarch. I mean where do u think ur taxes go too, yes the roads, parks, and etc., but it also goes to the Monarch
I will point out that pretty much every Head of State/Government around the world gets all of their official travel covered by taxpayers because it's part of their official duties to travel various places locally and foreign.
I met the guy in charge of diplomatic security at the State department. He protected Hilary Clinton when she was secretary of state. They take their jobs very seriously.
And It's not overkill. Reason why there is so much protection is cause if he gets hurt. It's an act of war. Also he has the codes to the Nukes so the world is in his his hands.
Vice President has the authorization code card as well, but without knowing the position of the code that day, it's useless as it's going to be reset. Get ahold of that card and they'll reset it sooner.
Don't complain too much. Americans pay a lot of taxes to maintain a bucketload of equipment for being ready in the event our allies are threatened too. That includes keeping the US President safe so he can continue to do his job.
This, also how else would someone working in government get paid? Plus its not exactly the president’s per se its more for his position, he has to give it up to the next one so its not like giving each one free shit. Idk why he so shocked
Has anyone mentioned that the USA's GDP per YEAR is near to $25 TRILLION dollars . . . and that California's wealth alone is wealthier than the UK and is near to passing Germany? That's just one state (albeit the wealthiest) in the USA.
I mean, the price is a bit much but at the same time the sitting US president is probably high on the hit list of quite a few countries. I might prefer that they do less traveling if that's the price tag, but I can't begrudge the general idea. Also, lets be honest, the high end furnishings are gonna be a drop in the bucket. I'm sure those pretty seats are more expensive than they need to be, but even if they had folding chairs and army surplus cots that wouldn't reduce it by a notable amount.
Who do you think pays for your Royal Families Travel and expense’s?? You do and no just the King… the whole family “ working royals”. They have hoarded so much money over the years they could take care of your homeless with the snap of the fingers.
IF it helps, the full cost of the plane is a one-time thing, minus the upgrades, which happen constantly. As he said, the plane, with defensive stuff, costs around $700M, but that is obviously NOT the cost of each trip. The biggest costs are fuel, crews, security personnel and actions, and overtime. Even far more so if they have to go to a foreign country, which has to be mapped and checked out prior to arrival. It's either this, or the U.S. Pres gets shot, which can/will cause a war.
My dad was a career Air Force guy and he used to work on Air Force One. I don’t mean during flights. He worked and delegated the work done to the plane itself so he had to get his top secret clearance to be able to actually go on board which he did multiple times so he met multiple presidents. He couldn’t even tell us much about the plane
@@paulbattson834 lol you mean the Sultan of Brunei who is one of the richest men in the world? You should see some of his lavish spending. 20k for a haircut doesn't even touch the surface.
It is cool seeing a motorcade, even if you aren't a fan of the president. In 2002, George W Bush did a speech not far from where I worked at the time. Pretty much the entire office went out front to wave. It is impressive!
The reason behind so many cars in the motorcade is so that they can have him in a random car and anyone dumb enough to try and attack it, will not know for sure which one he is in.
Presidential assassinations happen almost always during transportation and travel as that is when they are most exposed to the public. JFK, Ronald Reagan, McKinley are examples just from the 20th century off the top of my head, and note that Reagan survived mainly due to the updated and improved secret service presence. If the president is assassinated it is incredibly dangerous to national security as the head of state is no longer present meaning executive functions requiring authorization from the president (which is essentially all military and defense functions and decisions that were not already laid out in advance as official procedure/protocol. This means the military and nuclear responses to an attack wouldn’t be possible until the vice president is sworn in and briefed. Even when the death of a president was not a surprise or assassination like with FDR, the emergency swearing in of the vp to the presidency is a very anxious and chaotic time. And on top of that, if a president is harmed in anyway this would have immediate ripple effects on American society in both the short and long terms that can take decades to recover from fully. Entire political structures have to reorganize, citizens feel threatened where they are unsure of the stability of the government. Stock markets can panic, other politicians immediately worry if they are also in danger. This makes the cost of this kind of event happening and succeeding way more than the cost of properly ensuring that attempts would fail (as they also deter future attempts as it would seem impossible to succeed). The cost of these vehicles are not focused on luxury or extravagance but on stupidly redundant and expensive communications systems and emergency countermeasures. For example the president must be able to conduct their duties as president at all times. So any gap in connection with the president at any point while traveling to the pentagon (especially) is critical.
One thing this video got wrong was the plane type. The two 747's are 747-200's and are designated VC-25 by the Air Force. The presidential planes aren't always Air Force One. Theyre only Air Force One if the President is on board the plane.
@@kelleewolfe2834 no, we voted the embarrassment out of office in 2020. Our President is just not as young as he used to be and needs to quit trying to run up the stairs.
He pays what a personal trip would cost for an average person and the rest is still paid by the taxpayers. He gets a private jet and detail for the cost of a coach ticket on an airline.
The white haired gentleman falling up the stairs is the current president and who sometimes has that problem. There have been several assassination attempts, even Ronald Reagan was shot at as he went to his car and another man, James Brady, an aide was shot ( and had brain damage). The shooter was a man who thought that if he did this he would get the attention of a movie star he admired. And this has gotten more serious since the 9/11 attacks. There is another video by these guys that is more instructive about the hazards and reasons for each vehicle. Wouldn't suggest conspiracy theories unless you would be prepared for a lot of comments. Everyone has an opinion.
Don’t you guys pay for the kings and queens? I never understand how you all can stand watching a monarch live the high life in lavish lifestyle with your tax money. And yes, our president is considered a civil servant, they shouldn’t waste like they do, but let’s be honest, they’ve been rigging the system to their benefit for a loooooong time.
One big downer about being President is once you are out of office, you cannot drive a car anymore like everyone else. You can drive if it's on your own property but that's one of the rules in considering being CIC. Now, I know why Mario Andretti, Cale Yarborough and Richard Petty never ran for office...lol...
Bro where ever the president of USA goes. The secret service works with the CIA and FBI and the law enforcement wherever he is traveling to before and know every threat in the area/country. They can find anyone's threats on snapchat, IG, Facebook, X, or even on what's app and anything. They can find you even if you have a VPN. I know cause my father did IT work for the US Government and is top in his Job. He works for a major hospital now in Texas. He is my Irish side too btw lol
Argh, he keeps saying the NSA. That's not the service responsible for Presidential security. That falls under the Secret Service, which up until "the war on terror" fell under the Treasury Department. Now the Secret Service falls under the Department of Homeland Security.
@@southilgurl2003 I didn't say that they did. You said the NSA falls under the DoD and I said the Department of Homeland Security is a division of the NSA which it is. They are all interconnected with multiple different military and civilians divisions. The Department of Homeland Security or DHS was created as a division of the NSA after 9-11 and has grown to be pretty much its own agency since then but it is still falls under the NSA which as you said falls under the DoD.
Hey Adam, you should do a short on Britney Spears when she was at the height of her fame.. She burned through cash like it was water - Like 9k a cup for Starbucks coffee to be flown to her and her friends in different countries due to fuel cost etc. or the stupid shit Justin Bieber did like his bodyguards who had to carry him everywhere.
Gotta say nothing tops your Bull Riding Wrecks reaction. I think that's are best weapon, anyone wants to pick a fight with the U.S.A., all we have to do is send them a video of our Bull Riding wrecks. They will immediately know we are crazy and not advisable to pick a fight with us. Nothing is going to top riding Bulls.
Lots of false/misleading information in the original video. NSA has nothing to do with the president's movements. It's mostly DHS (including US Secret Service) and DOD (Air Force and Marine Corps). There are not 50 vehicles in the presidential motorcade. There are often 50 or more vehicle moving with the president, but most are not part of the official (integral) motorcade. The actual motorcade consists of about 10 Secret Service vehicles (including the two limos) and a few local police vehicles and an ambulance. The additional vehicles trail the motorcade and are rented/hired vans and SUVs that carry lower-level support staff and the media. These additional vehicles are not technically part of the motorcade, and the only vehicles that are transported to the venue the president visits are the actual black ones that are highly specialized and owned by the Secret Service. All the other vehicles are either local police or rented vans and SUVs that are locally sourced.
Here is a video that explains why so many vehicles are in the motorcade and the capabilities of each vehicle ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-88vmzn_LufA.html No matter who is in office, the US President is always #1 on the terrorist hit list so... yes,.it's worth it. I was a child who saw JFK in my hometown 4 days before his death, then watched in shooting footage in horror, the live announcement of his death, and the funeral live. To this day I still cannot watch old film footage or documentaries without ending up sobbing like it's just happening.
cant post a link here, but look into the SUVs. at least 1, probably 2 or 3, have a pop-up 7.62 minigun and a dedicated gunner in the backseat. google "US presidential motorcade minigun." never needed it, and thank god cause itd be bedlam if those ever had to be used in a city
Wdym? It's just the name of whatever plane the president is flying on. Not that insane. It's like calling every car you own Melinda. The car is not a Melinda but she's your Melinda
The Globemaster planes normally carry TankS. Big, Mucking about Tanks. The difference between the President’s Beast and little beasts from those TankS is artillery. The Beast is heavy! Lots of armor!
When the late King Hussein of Jordan & his wife Queen Noor were staying here where i live in Minnesota while he was being treated for terminal cancer, he loved driving around the city with his wife in a Silver Volkswagen Beetle. They did have security in front & behind them in a motorcade & a police escort at the front & very back but no roads were ever blocked off when they'd take a ride. I accidentally merged onto the highway right in between the blacked out Escalade security vehicle & the King & Queen in their Beetle who were traveling in the right lane😳😬 Oopsie! As soon as I realized it, I quickly moved over to the left lane, sheepishly waved & slowed to get behind the full motorcade. Pretty sure King Hussein & Queen Noor thought it was funny because they waved back, smiled & were laughing.😂 We got used to seeing them out and about driving & shopping but seriously never thought I'd end up IN the motorcade by accident! Over the years the Mayo Clinic brings all sorts of heads of state & royalty here from the Middle East for medical treatment. Most have similar motorcades. Aside from the Hussein's of Jordon, I also was in the hallway at St. Mary's Hospital when the President of Iraq walked by - he had much stricter security & we were all made to face the walls as he walked by surrounded by his security & our law enforcement.
@@trevor3013 oh no not at all, this is just something that isn’t talked about at all in the states because we like to complain about shit a lot. Found it more interesting really
the "50 vehicles" surprised me. Maybe next time there is a funeral or special visit we should just send the vice-president. Security for the VP likely costs less. If only Caesar had had a motorcade of 50 bulletproof chariots he would not have been assassinated.
In September 2020 Trump came to my city Kenosha WI because of civil unrest which caused the national guard to be deployed and many police agencies to come into the city to help. The local high school was used as a base for the personnel. I got to see the motorcade and it's one amazing sight, so many cars and the formation along with the local sheriff department. And Trump was only for our city a couple hours. Tax payer money should be going into protecting our leader even if you like them or not. Especially when I'm writing this right now there has already been 2 assassination attempts on trump. No President current or past presidents should ever need to deal with such situations.
