I first heard Moose Wala in an uber ride in Ontario in May 2022. I don't know the language, but I loved the beat, so I asked the driver. He explained who Moose Wala was, and where he came from, and his coming up story. By the time I got home to look him up on RU-vid the next week, all his music videos were filled with RIP comments. RIP.

Story Time: Sidhu was in Canada when he did a song "Jatti Jeone Morh di". In that song he compared women to the religious female warrior "Maayi Bhaago ji" a brave soldier in Sikhism history. When the song launched a riot started as people's sentiments were hurt as to how did he compare an actress or any girl to MAAYI BHAAGO JI. A large number of people, including the media, were bashing Sidhu for his lyrics. The crowd was abusive towards his parents and especially towards his mother. Which explains "people talk bad about mother's womb". Crowd was asking Sidhu to apologize but as he was in Canada they couldn't get an apology in person. Crowd actually went his house and asked his Mother to apologize for his son. Sidhu later went live on Insta and apologized but never spoke how people reacted with hatred towards his family. This song came a year later as a reply and a slap on those media and people face. He even said he didn't mean to harm any religious sentiments instead he wanted to show that Girls nowadays are not weak they are independent and strong. After "295" release Sidhu posted a story on Insta stating i never forgot how people treated his God (parents) last year so if He is silent that doesn't mean he is weak. This song is sang from his father's point of view. "Politicians should get shot" means they should literally get shot as they are the real villains who instigate people to fight over religion. In sikhism it is said that Body hair are natural and no modification or and sort of shave should be done and should always speak good with values and without abusive language. But he shows that people who have kept beard they still abuse. He meant if you can't follow the right path who are you to say i did a wrong thing to compare girls with a Good strong Figure. this was the first time i listened to a sidhu moosewala song and as a indian after listening to it i teared up. its such a shame and so distressing that we lost such a wonderful man who took steps to speak facts instead of saying nothing like most people. i remember that it was such a huge deal when he left us and i was unaware and tbh dint care cause i dint know who he was. but now that im more aware of the situation i feel so sad. Nobody would write for Sidhu, so he decided to write himself. He wrote all of his own songs. He came from absolutely nothing and touched the stars. He was humble but was not to be fucked with. It’s not an act. His reality is in his lyrics. P.s, the uncut hair reference is to his background as a turban wearing Sikh, as Sikhs don’t cut their hair. Appreciate as you've reacted it with lyrics. As it harder if you know the lyrics, and the reason and motive of making this song. Really, one of the best lyric-ful rap, I've heard in my life. Sadly, this legendary rapper got murdered as he's aggressing through his peak. I dunno if it was pre-planned or not but he was murdered last year on 29/5.

Section 295 of the Indian Penal Code (I.P.C) makes destruction, damage, or desecration of a place of worship or an object held sacred, with a purpose to insult the religion of a class of persons. He/she is punished with imprisonment which may extend to two years, or with fine , or with both. This section has been passed to compel people to respect the religious susceptibilities of persons of different religious persuasion or creeds. I guess someone disrespected him in some manner. So the song is here as a reply.. I dunno if it was planned or not, but this legend was murdered on 29/5/2022. Miss him really. RIP.

I can't even start with recommendations as there's too many hits. Feel free to reach out to learn more about him.. I've followed his story from the beginning. As for 295, it is one of his most famous songs... It's from the perspective of his dad and is about life lessons. Sidhu also talk about some of his personal situations throughout the song with reference to real events... section 295 of the Indian penal code is a law that can be imposed upon someone for hurting another's religious sentiments... it unfortunately has been used to silence many and can be used maliciously without actual backing... as well, religion and freedom of speech/expression is subjective so its difficult to follow precedents. Sidhu Moosewala was a very good natured person, very much connected to the ground and helping the people, even after earning so much name, he had no ego at all because he used to have gangsta vibe only in his songs. People liked him but in real life he did not belong to any gang, he was very humble and he always respected people and he respected every religion but some media people always showed his image wrong. Whatever good work he did for his villagers and they organized cancer camps every year, but the media never showed them. We all love Sidhu Moose Wala so much because he remained humble and down to earth, despite earning so much name in his music career, he did not leave his village (Moosa), even in his 5 years of music career, he never saw his downfall phase. Always made records, within these five years, he had become the top artist in the Punjabi music industry and he always gave the status of brother and sister to his fans and any of his fans used to take photos with him on the way. Some people were jealous of his progress, so they killed him but they didn't know that he would become immortal. And now media is being shown that he had gang ties and was killed in a gang war.

M a guy of science, gave up on my religion long before i got my hair cut, but this song is more than just about religion. It's about power and how it's abused, how the people with lower political, social or economic capital are the ones constantly punching above their weight just to stay afloat and hence get acclimatised to torture and abuse. This man's writing feels like a breath of fresh air for someone who feels like drowning in despair is the only consistent that applies to the powerless.

It's punjabi song , bro. React to his more songs with english subtitles, believe me he is the king of lyricis. Sidhu is from Punjab bro. 295 section is a charge that indicates that you have insulted religion, punishment for insulting religion. The singer is from sikh religion. In sikh religion, it's advised by sikh religion gurus ( spiritual masters embodiment of Lord) to sikhs not to cut hair as it is a precious gift from the supreme formless Lord. We have to respect the precious bounties gifted by Lord. Sadly, this great lyricist and singer was shot last year by his enemies on 29-5 ( matches with subtitle of this song) . In most of his songs, he predicted his death. Whatever he sang in his songs, it became true in real.

Been a long time Luke, What's up? Pls do check Naatu Naatu song from the movie RRR out. That song won the Oscar for the best original song.(It's a playback singing but I really want your reaction to the actual song from the movie itself, full of energy) About Siddhu Moosawala, he was murdered in May last year, RIP. As for the 295 charge, it's for the Indian Penal Code for the crimes against destroying or damaging or insulting a place of worship of any religions here in India. Turban, is a symbol of pride for the people who follow Sikhism. They refrain from cutting their hair ever in their life(not all though), hence they wear turbans on their heads, feeling the pride of their religion. But sadly, some people still make fun of them for wearing it. It's sad on my part that despite living in India, I don't understand the Punjabi Language, which keeps me away from enjoying those beautiful songs. Hope I covered most of your questions. There is so much my friend, that you don't know, and probably could take a long time to understand how deep this song is. There is a difference with 'Indian' music and culture. Sidhu is Sikh/Punjabi....there is constant politics/hate/fearmongering against Sikhs by the Indian govt to win elections. I'd be happy to have a dialog with you to explain. I'm based in UK, but close to the situations 'at home' Hindus, Sikhs and Muslims are brothers and sisters, but hate and division will be used to control the masses
