I know it's all banter but I think Messi has 27 goals vs big 6 premier League in 36 games only Aguero and cr7 who played there has more. For comparison, ronaldo has 36 in 80 smth game. Plus they both played in their peak in la Liga, there goals no. Are similar but Messi tops even ahead of best midfielders in assists, chance creation, through balls, dribbling etc because he plays mostly as attacking midfielder especially from 14/15 season when xavi playtime gets limited who has the creator role in barca. In his last 6-7 barca years almost 60-80 ℅ of barca attack come from him either as his goals, assist or his involvement in the buildup and thats one of the reasons why cr7 even with his similar goal only able ro help his team win 3 la Liga titles in 10 years because he became goals centric especially after Mourinho. while Messi help his team win 6 during that period with his more complete attacking output.

Guy on the left don’t make sense, are we supposed to believe the guy with over 130 champions league goals, 100 int’l goals, won trophies in multiple European, South American and world championship competitions can’t do it against the mighty stoke, Wolves, Brighton and Newcastle? Hi Guys, good reaction and I had a laugh at the banter but yep, Messi is definitely the 🐐 for reasons that have already been explained plus he doesn’t dive or go down without a damn good reason, which makes him a fav of mine. I’ve seen this video in full before it was cut and the 2 goals missing is his goal in the Copa Del Ray final -2015 I think and of course his famous Maradona goal when he was 19. 7:07 I think the mid-table teams in La Liga, during this era (2009 - 2016-ish) were significantly better than the mid-table PL teams, based on their performances in EL. I remember Bilbao even steam rolling Man United in 2012 or so in Europa League by something like 4-1. So I think Messi had arguably better competition in La Liga during most of his career. But even if that weren't the case, does anyone think he wouldn't do the same thing in any other league? I certainly don't doubt it. I said the same about the World Cup. There's no reason to doubt that he could win it.

You guys always think PL teams was better than La Liga teams but for those days like Sevilla, Valencia, Bilbao also dominate the Europa Ligue against English Clubs. Atletico Madrid was much more better than any PL team. I don’t mention Real Madrid or Barcelona. Messi vs PL teams is like a cake for him.

Ronaldo is a great player, but Messi is several levels above him IMO. Messi can take over a game across the whole field, Ronaldo just waits until he gets put into a position to score. Ronaldo can disappear in a game and become nearly transparent, but Messi is always the heart and soul of his team. His dribbling, power, balance, speed, and vision make him the only soccer player worth watching. All other pros next to Messi remind me of high school players going up against a true professional. I have never played soccer, never had a favorite team, totally unbiased and Messi being the greatest IMO is quite easy to see.

ManU wasn´t "rubbish" in 2008, but champion in 07/08 and 08/09 !!! know your own football before critisizing !!! Actually won 13 out of 22 championships that period, the remaining 9 championships being 2nd, only once 3rd...

Barca was more than just a club for Messi, he was too grateful for that club to leave just for sake of it. Also even without playing in PL, he has 27 goals against PL big 6 compared to Ronaldo's 29.
