Someting that the video doesn't explain is that the Kitsune sign came from the girls: When Koba first presented them the horn sign, the girls misundertood it with the fox sign (something typical in Japan. It comes from puppet shadows and is common among kids). Koba liked that because it was cute and then the whole fox god lore was created. About Yui's departure and the whole "Dark era" mess: I'm happy they have returned to the trio base. All the choreo was made for three, and even though Yui will never be replacebale (There is no other like Yui) the Avengers solution is the best they could do IMHO. Like any Kami can be interchangable, same goes for the "scream and dance" spot. But don't get me wrong, I say it again: That doesn't mean Yui doesn't have any merit, she isn't important or that anyone can replace her, I meant that if a spot can be taken by another person, then there is no harm in doing so. If any, the only spot that can't be replaced is Su's one. The day Su-Metal quits, that day will be the end of Babymetal. (Sorry for my bad english, is not my mother language. I hope you get my point and didn't sound weird or unrespectful)

As weird as Yui's disappearance and eventual departure was, from what I saw and heard 99% of the confusion and anger was directed at Amuse and not the band themselves. I saw them live on that 2018 American tour and everyone in the crowd had an absolute blast and really gave our love to them at the show. But to this very day there is a lot of distrust and anger with Amuse about how Babymetal is handled and how guarded they are even into their 20's.

One thing not explained here, which I think is a not only part of lore, but something that is greatly overlooked, is the form of the Kami band. Yes, they went over the main 5 guys that make up the Kami Band: BOH, Leda Cygnus, Hideki Aoyama, Takayoshi Ohmura, and Mikio Fujioka, but they don't explain the lore behind the Kami Band. There were 2 different concepts for the band: The Kami God band (which are the actual musicians), and the Kami Ghost Band (also called Babybones), who are guys in the skeleton costumes miming like they are playing, when they aren't. For the Kami God band, Lore states that the Fox God also chooses who is Kami, and that you never know who could be Kami. That means you could walk down the street and pass someone who could potentially be Kami, meaning that anyone could be Kami, yet you don't know. That is why some of the people Babymetal has performed with can also be considered Kami. For example that would be: Chad Hamilton (Red Hot Chili Peppers) Rob Halford (Judas Priest) Herman Li and Sam Totman (Dragonforce) Rob Trujillo, James Hetfield, Kirk Hammet, and Lars Ulrich (yes, Metallica). The Fox God is the one who chooses them, which is why the band can have a rotating set of musicians in it. So when Mikio died, another guitarist name Isao played in his spot. Finally, on the Metal Galaxy tour, the classic Kami band (Ohmura, Leda, Boh, Hideki) played the Japan/Asia/Australia legs of the tour. But in N. America, S. America, and Europe, they weren't available, so the Fox God chose a new set of musicians altogether to play, in which most of the members were part of a band called Galactic Empire. They were affectionately called by the fans "The Kamis of the West". This also caused some consternation with the fans because they wanted to see the Classic Kami band lineup, and were given new musicians altogether. Still the shows went on, and they were great. On the last show of that tour in Japan, both Kami bands played on the same stage. So that put on there: Galactic Empire Boh Hideki Aoyama Leda Cygnus Takayoshi Ohmura Mikio Fujioka. Yes, he had passed, but from all the help Ohmura gave Mikio's family, Mikio's wife let Ohmura use/gave him Mikio's guitar. Ohmura stated publicly that whenever plays with Babymetal, that guitar will be there on stage, or he will be playing that guitar for the set, so it is as if Mikio is there.

You're correct about the "kitsune's up" thing. It's basically asking people to put their hands up while making the fox sign. As far as what the future holds, obviously, only the FOX GOD knows.

I think they will keep the current model with the Avengers. it gives Kobametal a contingency plan if someone is ill. Same with the kami band. No shortage of talent that knows the routine for the unexpected. If they do change one thing, and this is me being hopeful, that they will finally mic the avengers . OTFGK

I was a new fan in 2018 when all that happened and was at one of those US tour dates. I was incredibly excited to see them live so I was very confused by the atmosphere at the beginning of the show with people yelling "WHERE'S YUI?" and no one knowing about the configuration changes. Everyone ended up having a great time either way since Su, Moa and the Kamis still put on an awesome show. Even if Yui was your favorite member I don't understand giving Su and Moa a hard time about it, but I do see why they might want there to be better communication from Amuse/Koba/etc

Thanks for doing this, it is a very informative guide. I think all or most of your questions have already been answered. I will say that (although I am not on most social media so may have missed a lot) I was not aware of Saya, the girl who stepped into the third spot for the Dark Night Carnival and the shows in Australia immediately after Yui's announcement, being given a hard time by anybody - all I saw was a lot of love and support towards her and appreciation for doing a great job. As for trying to predict what will happen next, whether there will be a new permanent member (personally I would be surprised if that happened, the Avenger system works well and they are far less likely to have the same issues as when Yui was taken ill by continuing with it), or pretty much anything else is fruitless speculation. I don't think I have seen any predictions in the past that turned out to be close to what really happened (apart from Yui leaving after she had been absent for so long perhaps). Anyway, nice one and keep the BABYMETAL reactions coming. I do have a suggestion for a series of videos that would be interesting if all done together ... it would probably be another long one of course so I'd understand if you didn't want to do it, but I think you would be the perfect person to do this. Great video! In the Sakura Gakuin picture at the beginning of the video, Su was in the back in the middle, and Yui and Moa were the two short girls in the front. The song you asked about was Karate at Glastonbury. The 2018 outfits were indeed epic! Unfortunately many fans hated them. The anger back then wasn't aimed at the girls, but there were people yelling "WHERE'S YUI" and it was very upsetting for the girls. Su has said it felt like going to a fight, and Moa reportedly cried. I'm glad you are considering adding Moa to the wall. Her smile can indeed bring world peace! It was leaked at last year's Amuse stockholders meeting that Yui's health has improved, and she is preparing for a return, but not with Babymetal. The only other reports we have from her are from her best friend Aiko who is also a singer. I don't know if they will add a third member. Riho is currently working as an actress, and Kano is busy with @onefive, so if they add someone it will be Momoko. And yes, kitsune means fox in Japanese.

The stuff in 2018, wasn't towards the girls, it was very much towards the behind the scenes people. If they'd said about a month before the tour started the Yui wasn't going to be on it, I think the fans would of handled the thing a lot differently, there were to many changes all at once, but they didn't and a few of the fans got the feeling, they didn't matter. As I said it could have been fixed by one short message, which by the time it did come it was too late.

Thanks for this reaction, it's not a short video. :-) I think it had some spoilers, but ohh well. It's an OK video, even if it has some.. less good parts. The way I see it based on the interviews is that the unhelpful guide got a nuance wrong about how Babymetal came to be: 'Koba' wanted to work with Suzuka and her loud style of singing inspired Babymetal, as a fan of metal he thought maybe loud music could fit her voice. Because of his previous work with bands when he was asked to work at the kids division he started to look for talent first and then figure out what to do. As he said it: having Suzuka just do J-Pop would have been a waste of her talent/potential. So Babymetal exists because of Suzuka and was built with Suzuka at the center. He got the idea before SG, but got no funding or way to do his idea before SG. In SG their was no financial risk to Amuse to try it. From interviews with others outside of Babymetal you get the idea he was also unsure if this silly idea would actually work. I don't think he was involved in her selection for Sakura Gakuin. She was destined to do that anyway because she was already considered a talented singer in the kids division. Su-metal might be the interview champ, but she looks for Moametal to help her and giver her confidence to do them English is something they've worked on for many years. 15:02 this is from the audience participation part of Karate (this show is Glastonbury). 17:37 Babymetal can be as metal as they want to be and even be adorable/kawaii doing so. :-) My guess is: Yuimetal has problems with jetlag, because her sleepiness was mostly at foreign shows. The stage presence of these little girls at a young age is amazing. And at the same time, they are at home on stage. They really do: own the stage. It's their domain you are entering, where you are the guest. Definitely don't agree about the creepy part of the fans LOL Their is a very small minority of people who are terrible with such things. The lore is also just a really good way to add subjects to shows and add introduction videos, etc. so the girls can get a rest between songs. :-) 39:30 they clearly left Yuimetal's spot vacant so she could return when people. I think pretty much no fan gave the girls any shit about Yuimetal not being on stage. Babymetal was going to go through changes anyway, because of their age. So a new Babymetal in 2018 or 2019 (in image, not members) was bound to happen. What I thought during the 2018 period, at first obviously heartbroken for Mikio. And later I was hoping for good news on Yui. Trying to judge the other dancers on stage without a bias. But seeing in a lot of cases it didn't work as well as the 3 person formation on stage. And very rare occasions more than 3 was cool. After Yuimetal's announcement, Babymetal for the last shows in 2018 went back to 3 persons on stage and you could see Su-metal and Moametal were happier as well. In an interview Moametal said that them performing behind each other meant far more time during a concert they couldn't glance at each other to see how well the other is doing. Yuimetal is very likely not coming back, pretty certain about it. My best guess is she had back problems so she wasn't going to touring again. No idea what platform for fans the person that made the video was on, but I didn't see anyone say bad things about Saya, only how people are happy they are doing the regular 3 person formation again. The biggest problem was the communication at the time which is casing any 'fans' to be angry or whatever. Yes, Pa Pa Ya is from the third album. 55:10 this comment is just really weird to me, I've seen very little evidence of such things. It's also a silly comment because Babymetal used to be even younger. Babymetal clearly won't be able to do what they had planned for their anniversary, but they'll organize something that's certain. Kitsune means fox and Megitsune means female fox. :-) So "Kitsune Up" is fox sign up in the air. For now I would say the Avengers are like the Kami band. Enough people to make sure Babymetal can always deliver a show in case anyone else but Su-metal is not able to perform (even if Moametal can't perform maybe an Avenger could take her place temporarily - however weird it might be. But I think most people would prefer if the show would go on).

This was a pretty long video, so of course I forgot everything I intended to comment on. It's cool that you made it through all of it, and kudos for giving a lot of your thoughts on it. You said some nice words about them, it's obvious that you "get it". I love how the girls managed to put you under their spell. BTW, I agree, I think it's not bias speaking when I say that Moa is one of the most beautiful girls I have ever seen. And her smile is absolutely perfect. I only discovered BABYMETAL in 2017, so my first chance to see them was in 2018. I wasn't too happy with the circumstances at the time (Yui missing, the new costumes and hairstyles, the whole darkness thing), but that didn't diminish the fun I had in any way. It was the best time I had ever had. If it proved one thing to me, it's that even in their worst state, BABYMETAL are the best.

Here is your way out of your "Bias dilemma": You already have Su's picture for Babymetal, so you should just pick a picture of Moa from her Sakura Gakuin days. That way you don't violate your policy of "one member per group", because each of those two would technically represent a different group/band. After you watch some clips of SG at some point in time you won't get past having Moa's picture on your wall anyways ;) To the question of "maybe Yui comes back", I said it under a few videos from other RU-vidrs already, but in my eyes the probability of her re-joining Babymetal full time are unfortunately at around 0.5%. I think the whole reason why it took one year from the hiatus message to her departing completely is because that's when they were sure she couldn't or didn't want to go back. Another thing is, it's Japan. They are loyal to a fault for a reason when it comes to work and business in general, because once you quit or get fired, there's no way you'll go back to that same company. It's one of the reasons why the economy took a larger drop in Japan than in most other parts of the world, they still pay their employees even if they didn't come to work for X years, as long as they still have a contract and the boss doesn't want to fire them, for example because they worked at the company for 20 years already. If they would have wanted to leave the door open for Yui they would've never announced her departing and trying to realize her dreams as "Mizuno Yui". I really like the concept with the 3 Avengers and I hope they continue that in some form or other, depending on how well the other projects of the Avengers go (Kano has her own J-Pop group @onefive, Riho has, amongst other things, a pretty big theater play coming up). Only thing I would change is, they should give these girls mics and not just let them mime the lyrics when Moa sings. But I wouldn't be too disappointed if one of these three would be promoted to full time either, preferrably Momoko or Kano because of my Sakura Gakuin bias.

I don't think a single fan blamed Yui... let me repeat that before the white knights invade... No one blamed any of the girls, especially Yui for her absence. The real issue was the lack of communication from Amuse, which some will say that is how they do things in the East and Japan, but they were before a western audience and they should have made an announcement before the US shows. Let me reiterate for the super fans. I do not blame Yui or her health issues in any way.

for someone new to Babymetal this video is good to have someone to understand more about them. how ever it failes to address two issues that a new fan should know. first is whether this is true or not, it was talked about at the beginning on how the fox sign and the fox god came about. from what i had read early was that at the beginning Koba-metal had showed the girls the devil horns used for metal but they couldnt do it and they kept doing the fox sign. so they decided to come up with the fox god to go along with the girls fox signs. i think it was a cool idea to add to the performance. second, have you looked at the symbol and saw the wings, the heart, and the skull? have you thought about why that is there. at the beginning there was a couple dance routines that the girls did with a group. at that time Yui and Moa had a skull on one and a heart on the other shirt. they were the only ones with stuff on their shorts. i forget which one but that is how that was added and the wings is for Su. if you read most of their lyrics it is about female power. and yes they had one of the shows during the fox festivals that was only female fans. i think it was the red fox festival. some see 2018 as a bad year but i dont. i understood what they were going through and to me they did god trying to go on with their lives. at the beginning yes i think they were kind of lost and didnt know where they werr going in the future but later in the year they began to do better. 2019 when they came up with the avengers i think everybody was happy because it got back to the three girls. like you i dont understand the hate when Yui was not there anymore. to me Babymetal is Su. others are just helping her. now if something happened to her then yes it would not be Babymetal. she is just so good at every kind of genre and is one of the few in history with so much stage presence like she had. you have to see one of the shows that they do Distortion and in the sing along part she does not say a word but just uses her finger and makes a circle the crowd obeys her. it is jsut so awesome. nothing is like actually hearing her voice in real life. it is so good. i got a chance to see them at the Forum last year and cant wait to see them again when all this BS virus goes away.

That was amazing, thank you so much! I can see you going deep down the Fox Hole and that's great :) I discovered them late (too late and I hate myself for that) so I haven't experienced the whole process but watching recently "Legend S" was one of the hardest emotional things I've ever done (I cried... a lot). I have the media but I don't expect to watch it again. So I cannot even imagine the emotions that a long time fan experienced during that period (ate 2017 and 2018).

In regards to 2018, like any fanbase we all can be opposed to change. (Some design ideas I liked, some I didn't) Avoidable or not. Like others have said the girls were doing their best with what they were given, and for most of us the anger was directed at Amuse's (Or Koba's) wonky lore, and lack of communication of even the smallest update. Many took their emotions towards the loss of Yui a bit far. The (unintentional) bad will towards the fanbase emotionally carried over to those dark shows and the dancers as well. Many of us were ok with them as individuals, but the joy was not what it was. Once Yui's statement came out, and the 3 Avengers were presented I and others felt like that was a good smoothing over gesture. We all are in different Avenger camps as far as favorites but It's a good move and the shows have been great with them all. As far as a permanent member, it's possible, although Su and Moa have said they they are the core of BM now. And there are many Avenger preferences, but I think we all would be accepting if one was ultimately chosen..we won't know for awhile how things will change, with this whole virus thing, and in general.

Not sure but it appears there are some new viewers to the channel or not, apologizes if you’re not, but this is exactly what Shaun does. He picks a group & gets fully invested. He’ll react to other things during that particular timeframe but focuses on one group. He started his channel just a short time ago & quickly decided to give Loona a go. And in the span of about 2 months, give or take, he’s reacted to all 31 mv’s already & loads of over content. Tbh I know nothing about baby metal but I’m excited to see where this goes. He’s a great reactor because he gets very passionate and isn’t afraid to tell the truth about a song/mv, what have you. He doesn’t go full on negative but doesn’t just jump on the bandwagon simply because “you’re supposed to”. You do have to come to terms with his attempts at choreography throughout mv’s....ngl, it’s not always great! If you can deal with the dancing.....and the fact that he robbed Hyejoo blind, he’s ok....... Yeah, I’m still salty about it 😤

There are some things in which are mentioned shortly but need a little bit more explanation in my opinion to grasp the real importance - Riho joining as avenger and therefore backup dancer: Morning Musume is not just one j-pop group, but one of the most famous ones which is also known in the public a little bit more than most j-pop groups (at their height they sold 1,6 million physical copies of "Love Machine" for example). They weren't that super popular anymore when Riho joined but with her as center and a fresher sound they regained some popularity. It got a little bit quiter around her after her leaving the group some years later but her joining Babymetal as a "mere" dancer hit like a bomb. Just imagine in your k-pop world the leader of one of the biggest girl groups retiring only to appear as a "simple" dancer in a rock group... Since she always liked dancing more than singing it was fitting, but it was a complete bombshell. - The collaborations on the latest album aka "me, a kpop stan: who the f*** is this": I knew that part would be funny since you are also a k-pop fan :) And of course you don't have to know who these people are, but these are some really crazy and important collaborations. - First one, Tak Matsumoto - he's from the rock group B'Z, a group almost no one knows in the west but guess what, they are super popular in japan and sold over 100 million records, 100 million! Given their genre, Babymetal is not known to everyone in Japan and collaborating with him gave people definitely attention to Babymetal which didn't knew them before. - Second ones are Tim Henson and Scott LePage - they are from a group called Polyphia and Tim Henson single-handedly defined a new kind of hard rock/metal with his guitar play. While they aren't that popular in the masses given their genre, ask anyone who knows to play the guitar to watch him play (one example would be "G.O.A.T.") and they will be in awe. This is a collaboration which makes sense from a technical point of view and gave Babymetals "Brand New Day" a really fresh and interesting sound. - Joakim Brodén - He's the singer from Sabaton, a popular Swedish heavy metal band and what most people would understand as a "typical" metal band i guess. They were the opening act for a Babymetal concert in japan where they could get new fans and i guess that collaboration is some payback since Sabaton is definitely more famous in the west than Babymetal. But the song "Oh Majinai" is of course not some random boring song but pure madness with a totally hilarious background video for the live shows. - F-Hero - famous thai rapper - another geographic region to get new fans from ;) - Alissa White-Gluz - The singer of Arch Enemy, a group which is also very known in the traditional metal community. Funny enough, if people who don't know much about metal listen to Babymetals Distortion, they might ask themselves where she appears, they only can hear the singing of Su-Metal. That's because Alissa is growls. The growls which really don't sound ladylike are actually her :) - The Kami Band gets way too little love in that guide. To be accepted as a serious group and to make the concept work they played actually the most important part only topped by Su-Metals singing since authenticity is so important in the metal genre. And having some of the best musicians japan has to offer was so vital for Babymetal. Also they did a great job at choosing the western Kamis - especially Anthony Barone on the drums is such a freaking beast.

About your question of how we, as fans, lived the whole Yui absence thing, here's how I went through it: It was one of the hardest times for me since she was (still is) my favorite Babymetal member. I had just discovered them in late 2017, a few months before Yui first disappeared so it was pretty much a rollercoaster of emotions. I was one of the fans constantly asking "Where's Yui" and contrary to what the person speaking in the video hoped, I didn't "feel like shit". Because I (and I'd dare to say everyone else) where demanding an explanation and being harsh towards the management, never towards Su and Moa. All we were asking for was some clarity. We constantly kept asking about Yui as they would've left us with the single statement "she's ill" and then left us in the dark. As fans, of course we were worried about her. I personally experienced a hard time when she officially left, specially because she was my absolute favorite and her departure statement was posted on my birthday. Not one of my happiest ones for sure. After that, I found myself having a difficult time thinking "I don't know if I'm gonna still like Babymetal after this". Not only because of Yui leaving, but because they had made drastic changes to everything (costumes, hairstyles, a bunch of anonymous backup dancers) and they wouldn't announce any of them. Most fans felt like they didn't have us in count at all. But then again, we never blamed the girls, and specially not Yui. With that being said, I'm happy to say I was able to move on from Yui's departure and still support Babymetal, although it was hard at first. I really enjoyed your reaction (and watching the Unhelpful Guide for a 4th time now :-), that was very interesting and entertaining.

Both Koba and the girls gave interviews last year where they said that it was Su and Moa who decided that they wanted Babymetal to continue with both of them at the centre. This sounds like Koba was prepared to let the two of them step back (and most likely wind Babymetal down altogether) if they didn't want to continue without Yui. It also suggests that they are in no hurry for a permanent replacement. They seem to have settled that the Avenger system works. The trio formation works best for their choreography and by keeping them theoretically nameless, they have flexibility when it comes to scheduling as they can switch them about as much as they need to.

Loved your reaction! The humor of the guide is on point imo and keeps the info dump entertaining. As for the three avengers becoming official members, two of them are already highly unlikely. Riho has a public instagram account (and as you know, privacy is the name of the game with BABYMETAL with Suzuka and Moa not having public accounts) and has a lot of other projects that coincidence with BM's 10th anniversary. Kano, on the other hand, already belongs to her own group. That leaves us with Momoko, and nothing seems to point towards her becoming an official member. From what I've seen, the fandom is fairly split whether to get a third member eventually or keep the rotating avengers.

Near the beginning they mention wanting to introduce girls to the world of metal music. Yesterday I was wearing my Babymetal face mask at work. I manage a market and it was really busy so I was helping the cashiers bag. A sweet young girl about 10 was with her mother checking out. She turned to the cashier and said "You're really pretty". Looks like the girls have succeeded! Yes, PA PA YA is on the new album. The same fans that gave Saya a hard time gave F_Hero trouble on social media. So much trouble that he was throwing up in the bathroom before the show. As soon as we true fans heard about this we went on Twitter and showed him a lot of love. He's a great guy that posts lots of video of his little daughter. Didn't deserve what they gave him at all.

Hi, would you consider doing full concert reactions on Twitch? There’s a pretty decent Babymetal community on there and it’s easy enough to directly support people through subs, donations etc. It’s a shame RU-vid only allows such limited BM content. If you scheduled a time on Twitch there’s a hell of a lot of BM concerts to choose from. The community would help you out with links and spreading the word.

This video is ok, but the thing that bugs me a bit is the narrators obsession with middle aged guys creeping on BabyMetal. Seems to be a bit of projecting on his part. As a middle aged guy, I have never thought of the girls in any way except as talented singers and dancers. And yes, I realize girl bands have their share of weird ‘fans’, but this guy is acting like some white knight who makes it sound like EVERYONE over the age of 35 who likes BabyMetal only likes the band for one reason, and that every fan that criticized the chaos created in 2018 was apparently middle aged dudes. Bottom line is, I don’t think it was necessary to include the several comments he made, and it adds nothing constructive to the video for people new to BabyMetal.

I remember that I was at work when news came out that Yui was officially leaving Babymetal. Felt really sad about it. Its like the feeling you get when you suddenly feel empty or something like that. I think the outrage is because of how Amuse handled the situation. I remember there was even a #whereIsYui campaign and even an online petition for Amuse to tell the fans what really happened to Yui (as if Amuse and even Yui's own message wasn't enough).

This is such a long video (long subject matter) so there's a lot to cover. 1. Yes, Su and Moa have blossomed into lovely young women. Fortunately, unlike western singers, Babymetal doesn't do anything sexual. No revealing clothes. No suggestive lyrics or dance moves. 2. Oh my jeezus! Super late! You sir! Are the end of a super long couple of hours spent playing catch up with all my Babymetal reactions!!!!! I started with the unhelpful guide (svc reactions) and ended with the unhelpful guide (you). Hahhhhhhhhhh. So, since I'm late, a your questions have been answered already! Meh, I'll still find something to say (even if only to leave a comment so youtube's aLgOritHm likes you)!! I was introduced to Babymetal sometime in 2015, but unfortunately didn't have a way to see/hear them more at the time (bad year and no internet!!!). I only recently (~6 months ago) rediscovered them. So, I wasn't around for the shazfest of 2018! However, even for someone who discovered them after the facts of Yui's departure and Mikio's passing, its still a heartbreaking thing! See, I fell in love with them and immediately went about knowing as much as I could about them, which of course meant learning all their old work (new as well), and their origins and history! So I still fell in love with those individuals!!! By the time I actually figured out that Yui and Mikio were gone(in different ways but still...), I was already way down the fox hole!!! So their leaving was still something of a shock and made me all the more sad knowing that I'd never get the opportunity to see (at least Mikio) on stage again!!! For a while I had hope that Yui might return, and still do in the deepest parts of my metal heart, but eventually I figured and accepted that it was highly unlikely! As for the lore, its convoluted and confusing, but also cool af!!! I lobe all the Fox God shaz too! I think Dumetal's blog had the translations for the little opening videos at their concerts (the ones that told the lore before certain songs of at the beginning and/or end of a show). You could get a lot of insight from those. At least up until the Galaxy stuff..(or was it until Yui left?) It might not be Dumetal. I think it is. Either way you can find a link to them on reddit. It is insane the flack thrown their way for, as you said, something beyond their control and something as important as the health and safety of a beloved member and friend!! Although I do believe most of it was towards Amuse more for the lack of warning and info. I personally understand that that's just how things are done, but at the same time feel a little but-hurt for the fans that experienced that crazy time (seeing as how they did announce Yui's absence from the Legend S show, but not for the Kansas show). Either way, its up to them how they handle their matters, even if some don't agree with their methods. And personally again, I cannot applaud Su and Moa enough for their bravery and perseverance in continuing under such conditions and pressure! Not to mention the Avengers who, for no reason other than people wanting to be assholes, got a shazton of flack just for "daring to be in her spot" (started with Saya and continued with the anonymous backups of 2018 and then with the Avengers). Like, people, seriously!? But again, the overwhelming majority of The One can do, and have done, nothing but commend these girls for stepping into such big shoes and absolutely killing it! They are idols and performers in their own rights afterall, and I honestly hope for them to be given mics eventually!! Gonna leave you with a recommendation of Awadama Fever (grindy music and super cute vocals and choreo) and Night Night Burn (my fav from Galaxy). Kitsune up! \m/

These girls have handlers that keep constant medical attention to these girls.... there underage... and with held information to make there sales and keep there concert agreements..... the harmony of Moa and Yui .... is like dropping one of the Gibbs from the BeeGee's..

2018 was indeed Hell for Babymetal fans. Yui is my Babymetal Bias, and her having to leave the band was heart breaking, but understandable. I was never mad at the girls, But Amuse pissed me off majorly. Not letting anyone know beforehand that Yui wasn't going to be there, Trying to blow the whole thing off and hiding behind Lore when upset fans wanted to know what was going on. In fact the Main Japanese branch of Amuse never once said anything that entire tour about the Yui issue, and instead it was the newly created United States branch that while having incorrect information on the matter were the ones that finally let people know that Yui was not going to be on the tour. I was also unhappy with the girls being expanded past 3 on stage as I found the 4 Girl formation and then the 7 girl formation at the end of the year to be just awkward and distracting making my enjoyment of the experience considerably less. I also hated that they didn't have anyone but Moa on Backing vocals. This is not a ut down on Moa but she can't do Backing vocals on her own, I would say the same thing about Yui. Without the Harmonization of 2 voices the Back vocals are just plain flat to my ears. This is a problem to this day as none of the Avengers sing, though in the last tour before the global bastard that is covid hit, they seemed to come to this conclusion themselves and started playing a backing track on their shows for the backing vocals. I personally think they NEED to assign a new 3rd member, but I would be content if they stuck with the rotating avenger system so long as that new member or avenger was given a mic and SANG.

Glad you took the time for this, a few things: *As to height, Su always has worn heels. Watch the videos closely. *Su and Moa have been Su-Metal and Moametal for half their lives!! Su is 22 (birthday in Dec.) and Moa is 21. *They are no longer "cute little girls", they are now beautiful young women. *Black Babymetal, start with "4 no uta" Moa and Yui wrote it on a dare from Su. *They were the first Japanese band to perform at Wembley Arena (a sell-out) setting records for merchandise sells. * The Tokyo Dome's capacity 50K, they sold it out 2 nights running. *Su and Moa met with Amuse after Yui officially left. Amuse proposed ending Babymetal, but Su and Moa said they wanted to continue. Fortunately Amuse said yes. *I happen to like the Avengers and hope that they can bring Black Babymetal is some form with new songs. Now for Yui; she is still under contract to Asume and she is receiving royalties every time a MV or songs are played with her in it. As to her health, it's none of your business. Just because western celebrities announce their bad bowel movements doesn't mean all celebrities have to. I have my own thoughts as to what Yui's health issues are, but I've decided to say nothing. what me don't like about their dress and hair style in " The Dark Era " is when Su and Moa in silhouette mode i can't tell the different between them and the dancers and specially Moa have the same style dress with all the dancers. for the new style they use today beside the hair style me can tell that Moa dress have two different look , first is the black cloth on her shoulder is a little bit short and second her top skirt is much more darker than the Avengers.
