I must add , this speech is by far the best so far . Compare the ORT and " Mastering Public speaking " and one other . Ive only watched four which as said previously are all the same but do look yourselves , I would be grateful for your opinions .
His intellect appears more clever than the majority of existing politicians and a great orator . However even if you have been educated La- di-da he still could not grasp what the majority of people with common sense could see, how daft it was to lose so much tax payers money trying to keep us in the ERM! People in Government whom did not know, that you cannot buck the market and we're totally unqualified for the job entrusted in them.. No change there then?
I watched on her ( you tube ) " A evening with Gyles Brandreth ") . My goodness , it was so funny , dryly witty , in all wonderful . In short , it encouraged me to watch all his lunch and after dinner speeches on here . I was so so disappointed . It's is always the same formulaic speech just with different references and twists . I had hoped or thought that each speech would be original to the situation , occasion . Anyway , still enjoyable but as I say , disappointing that it is formulaic .
Humour is subjective. If you do not find him funny, then you are right. If I find him funny, I am also right. However, Gyles Brandreth has made crowds of people laugh many many times, so your comment that he is not as funny as he thinks he is, amounts to little more than a pointlessly bitchy comment. It adds weight to what Gyles' friend Stephen Fry said about the type of people often languishing in the swamp that is the RU-vid comment section, that they are sad individuals desperate to be listened to and raging against those who people actually want to listen to. You watched enough of this supposedly unfunny man's speeches to conclude that he recycles jokes, which tells its own story.
