It is a time honoured British Tradition that both the Prime Minister and the Leader of the Opposition need to run against Elmo to win their home seat. Much like most things about British politics, no one really knows how this tradition actually started. However, it keeps going because making fun of British politicians is a national pass time in Britain. You know all the reverence and patriotism the President gets in America? Well Britain found the brilliant solution for that through having a Monarch. If you want to be patriotic in Britain, you show it to the monarch, not to the Prime Minister. Which means that unlike in America, it is super easy to be super supportive of the government through the Monarch, but take the piss out of the politicians in charge.
Damn, over here in the states we just have frightening politicians who want the people they govern to die. It looks like UK polititians are just whimsical cartoon characters
American here, I know enough to recognize some of these people running for parliament but I assume it is the same for you guys when you see our goofy old people like when we see your goofy old people
First, what did her mattress to have to do with politics are and second isn’t it rather rude putting her beneath Nigel Farage Boris Johnson or even in a video with them? I mean, Boris is well I think he’s just not the smartest for righteous just straight up evil.
