2:05 that’s Bartolo Colon. He is one of the oldest pitchers in baseball. That was his first home run EVER in over 20 years of playing. That is why everyone went crazy
Colon is a real character. Every time he pitched, he would take a ball and decorate it with a pen while he was in the dugout. He would give these balls to the training staff. You can see a few of them here: www.sfgate.com/athletics/ostler/article/Enigmatic-Bartolo-Colon-is-essential-to-amazing-4646510.php#item-85307-tbla-2
2nd Time posting this comment Reaction ideas for baseball: 1) 2019 Homerun Derby 2) Highlights of Mike Trout, Pete Alonso, Christian Yelich, or Cody Bellinger 3) The game after the Los Angeles Angels lost one of their pitchers to an overdose 4) The best and craziest moments of the 2010’s I don’t know specific videos about these players or topics, but I’m sure you can find one, any video that has to do with these players or topics I’m sure will be good videos This is how many people want Luka to do more baseball reactions and reactions on these players or topics 👇🏽
@@joshuaebel7096 Barry Bonds, the only MLB player who's head literally kept getting bigger, also from the steroids lol. his offical hat size increased later in his career 🤔
React to Highlight Heaven’s “LA Dodgers vs Houston Astros 2017 World Series game 5 highlights” The game was crazy and was back and forth the whole time. It also unfortunately came out recently that the Astros had been cheating since 2017, which if you want explained you can watch or even react to “The Houston Astros Cheating Scandal” by the channel Foolish Baseball, which would be really cool
The outfield fence seems to be a psychological barrier to a lot of hitters. The depth and configuration of the outfield is different for every stadium, but most home runs barely make it.
React to Acuna jr ( Ronald Acuna jr) he is like 21 and won rookie of the year 2 years ago and is my favorite player and most of the braves favorite players
Reaction ideas: 1. MLB Oddities 2. Outfield assists 3. Players breaking bats over their knees 4. Triple plays Love all your videos! Keep tham coming! :D
React to SB Nation's "David Freese's epic World Series walk-off demands a deep rewind" video if you want to see one of the most dramatic games of baseball ever!
please watch the San Antonio Spurs Tribute - The Beautiful Game. This team lead by Tim Duncan (arguably the best PF of all time) took on some of the toughest competition of the 2000s and 2010s. Coached by Greg Popovic, the entire roster on this team was locked in and serious for the championship trophy in 2014. Everyone on the roster moved the ball extremely well. Tony Parker was their Point Gaurd, but there was no true point gaurd in their half court offense. The entire team was their point gaurd. This Tribute video supplies a great amount of footage backing up my statements and i really think you'll enjoy it.
When doing baseball reactions you should try to do vids from "Made the Cut" they have lots of different types of videos and they show replays and different angles. Also do catchers throwing players out at second, their reaction times and accuracy are amazing.
Keep it up with baseball reactions cuz its my favorite sport and basketball is second and u should react to someone like yadier molina he my fav player
The thing about those crazy catches at the edge of the field is that some part of their body has to be over the playing surface and they cannot have touched anything outside the playing surface for the catch to count. That's why they dive and stretch out keeping their feet back to keep them legally on the field and leaping as high as possible to give them an extra split second or two before hitting the ground outside the field of play..
You should live stream when ur watching the Super Bowl, that way we can interact with you and you can ask us any kind of questions about the game in general, plus we can make donations to ur channel to help continue building it
So, I’ll teach you some baseball slang. When a batter hits a homer and then, rather than running the bases, begins posing out and carrying on and such, that’s called ‘pimping the run.’ If you pimp a bit too much, don’t be surprised that you get ‘plunked’ by the
Day 11: First off, last years March madness was the best I’ve ever seen and it wasn’t included in the video you watched. There's tons of baseball I'd love to see you react to, but when you mentioned learning the sport, I think it'd be neat if you watched a full game and reacted to it. There's some on RU-vid.

Randomly found your channel through your dee Gordon video. This is the most wholesome, awesome content I’ve found in forever. Even just your reaction to the first one, lean back and “...mate...” 😂 love it dude Edit: your Uk dialect makes American baseball SO MUCH BETTER! Petition for you to become an mlb announcer???
The walls are soft but thin. They'll protect a little, but still hurts. Side note. Try one of the most dominate pitchers for decades. 104-108mph fastball. Nolan Ryan. And for football Derrick Thomas Chiefs defensive end (I think). He's another league. Quarterbacks have no chance.
If you want more MLB highlights, please watch a Kevin Pillar defense compilation. He's the guy at 5:50 A video like this one is great, I guarantee you'll enjoy it: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-7g5uDqmLWVY.html
Most of the walls in MLB are padded to some extent. Some far more than others. However Chicago Cub stadium, Wrigley Field, is a brick wall covered with ivy. No matter the wall however you run into them at your peril. In the old days, pre-1960, few walls were padded, and many players had shortened careers by running into them. Perhaps the most famous was Pete Reiser of the Brooklyn Dodgers. His attitude was far too reckless. He started his career in 1941 and as a rookie hit an amazing .343. He started his second year hitting .352. On July 18th, 1942 while playing the outfield he ran full speed into the concrete wall in St. Louis going for a fly ball, destroying his shoulder. He wasn't the same player ever again. Hitting less than .300, in 1947 he again ran into the concrete wall in Ebbets Field in Brooklyn and fractured his skull. Although he hung on until 1952 he paid the price for his reckless behavior on the field.
Big home run shots are exciting but for skill and teamwork check out best triple plays. Double plays happen somewhat frequently. A triple play is uncommon. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-v4GicZ9Tjf0.html
How do they do that? Practice, practice, practice from T-Ball as a preschooler, through Little League, Junior High team, Senior High team, College team to Pro.
👍👍👍👍👍👍 Love these MLB videos. You are really beginning to appreciate the skill of these players. Actually baseball used to be the most popular sport here in the US. Its season is during the summer months and the teams play a very long schedule (162 games in the regular season. ) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Yo man love your vids. Something I suggest you react to is NCAA Court Stormings or Field Stormings. You know the ending to Watford vs Leicester when the fans rush the pitch? Imagine that in college football stadiums or college basketball courts.
There is usually some type of padding on the walls Wrigley field has ivy covered brick. Also those catches over the wall are important because the rob the runner of a home run.
Hey! If you’re that interested in sports like baseball you got 25,000 fans that’d probably love to take ya to a game! Come to LA and I could hook you up with some pretty sweet Dodger seats. :P
The fences in the outfield are made of different things depending on the Ball Park. For example Wrigley field has an Ivy covered brick wall in the outfield. Oracle park has a brick wall in right field. Majority of the parks have padded fences.
Don't know if you knew or not. but the numbers on the walls, 410, 399 ect are "feet" from where the batter is at home plate. Love Baseball.... Go Jays Go!
That Barry Bonds home run, the one you said people were going crazy for, was a record setter, it was his 756th career home run. People were fighting to get that ball because it was worth $$$. I read it was bought at auction for something like $750,000, so whoever actually got it in the stands made a good chunk of change. I read there was quite a scuffle amongst the spectators to get that ball.
Bartolo Colon was nicknamed 'Big Sexy' and didn't look like an athlete at all, which is why him hitting the home run as a pitcher was a big deal - pitchers tend to be bad hitters. But was one of the best pitchers in his prime and played until his mid-40s. It was also later discovered he had a secret second family lol. So...interesting guy to say the least. And I'm fine with the replays personally - it's just cool to see someone discovering the stuff I've always enjoyed. Would love to see a reaction vid to the best NHL shootout goals of all time!
2:25 - the reason the crowd went nuts was because that home run broke Henry Aaron's MLB alltime record of 755 home runs, with Barry Bonds hitting his 756th.
#25 at 2:24 is Barry Bonds. He's a very controversial player given his reliance on PEDs (performance enhancing drugs). The last few home runs he hit were very valuable. Fans wanted him to break records so they went crazy every time he hit one.
Note that these happen more often than the freak accidents of balls injuring people. Yes, most of the ball parks have mats on the walls. It's a requirement, with a few exceptions like Wrigley Field, where the Cubs play, because of the ivy they have on the walls.
