“It’s like Curry vs James” haha, little does he know that was the NBA for 4 straight years (and it might come alive again next year when the Warriors are healthy)
@@alexl9799 ???? that has been the case at the end of every premier team's "era". Celtics, Lakers, Spurs, bulls, heat have all had their prime years followed by dry spells. If you think that is going to be different for GSW just because they still have one good player you are delusional. Green is washed up, Klay will never be quite the same along with the fact that they lost KD, Iguodala, and all their role players. You can burn you bandwagon merch its over.
@@Legendary33284 I'm not even a warriors fan I'm a jazz fan. Dont know why you're so agitated man it's just basketball lol. My argument is that i don't think draymond is washed, even if i do believe he is overrated i think he's playing half-assed this yr since the team is basically tanking but once the team gets healthy i think he'll kick it back up. There is no reason to think Klay can't come back, these days ACL injuries aren't as damning as they used to be. Curry will still be curry. They'll add a high draft pick. Once they get healthy they can probably attract some cheap veterans to fill the bottom of the roster. I don't think they'll ever reach the heights they once did but to say they're done for the next decade is just hyperbole to me. I can easily see them becoming a playoff team once again within the next few yrs.
React to Dwyane Wade. He’s the guy you see in a lot of the Lebron highlights when he’s playing for the Heat. He’s regarded as the 3rd best SG of all time. Has some of the most incredible highlights out there. React to his top 35 plays video
Matthew Smolenski West was a pg check yo own facts before checkin somone else bud n even if West was a sg he’d still wouldn’t be better than wade 3 chips to 1 says sum
Fuck Wade. Made fun of Dirk being sick in 2011 Finals then got shit on by the man himself. Not to mention shooting more FT than anyone in the history of the sport in 2006 Finals, clearly rigged. Go back and see.
Really enjoyed your reaction, and glad to see you appreciate the fine nuance of basketball. These are the few videos I would recommend to watch. If you're checking out players with good assist you can look for steve nash or Manu ginobili. Steve Nash is one of the all time great passers, while Ginobili is a crafty Argentinian player who had all sorts of crazy passes. Jamal Crawford shake n bake is also a must watch. It's a cross over move which often leaves his man bamboozled. Kobe Bryant greatness personified is a definite must watch, though the video is broke down into 2 parts. It's sort of a documentary of his different aspect of his talent, as well as a montage of his incredibly difficult shots. Comes with a sick soundtrack. Tony Parker spin move is also one of the fastest in the league at his prime. Despite being much smaller he actually lead the league in scoring near the basket at one point of his career. Tracy McGrady has one of the most clutch moment where he score 13 points in 33 seconds, though you'll need some understanding of basketball strategy and why they foul when they're behind during the last few seconds. Charles Barkley when he's young is a beast, despite him being shorter than the average players in his position. These are the few. Hope to see your reaction to them soon :)
On your question on how they see they’re teammates: Most don’t even “see” them. A lot of the time they are “mapping” the court, (they have an image on where they are by running it in their head, think of it like simulation)
Curry is a point guard whose main responsibility is to pass and set up for his teammates. He just also happens to be the best shooter in the league. That combination is deadly.
Steph Curry is a point guard, which means that running the offense and making assists are big parts of his job. Steve Kerr, the Warriors' head coach, had to work on Curry to get him to shoot more because Curry said he didn't want to be a ball hog.
Dudeeee it's insane to think that you haven't even scratched the surface even with all that you have reacted to, but I respect how much you're willing to react to all of these NBA legends and crazy plays! My top picks for you are to react to Allen Iverson and my boy Jeremy Lin (during his Linsanity streak). Edit: Also at 11:50, Westbrook pulls off a ball-handling move called the "Shammgod." Plenty of NBA players can pull it off, I'm sure there are a ton of highlight videos of that move on RU-vid!
In recent years we have definitely sort of co-opted from soccer the use of nutmeg for the between the legs passes. I'd definitely recommend the top crossovers of the decade video as well if you like ball handling skills. As far as specific players that you haven't done yet.. Harden, Westbrook, Kevin Durant, Dwayne Wade, Steve Nash, Shaq, Kobe, Tracy McGrady, Hakeem Olajuwon. Plenty more than that but there's hours of content from them for sure.
#35 That italian looking guy is Manu Ginobili, legendary basketball player but now retired. One of only two basketball players in the world to win an NBA Championship, Euroleague Championship, and an Olympic gold medal.
Randy Moss. NFL wide reciever. Most talent WR ever to play. Also the most exciting. 6'4" 4.25 40 yard dash. Second all time in Touchdowns as a WR. Best deep threat (long pass catcher) of all time.
The “goal-line kick” of basketball is called an in-bound pass. When you pass through people’s legs there’s no special name for it. It’s just a pass between someone’s legs.
The equivalent of the goal kick in soccer would be an inbounds pass. The area he’s passing it from is out of bounds which is where the term inbound comes from.
the italian guy was Manu Ginobili. He was on the San Antonio Spurs for his entire career and is known as probably the best 6th man of all time (the first guy to come off the bench). He was an all-star quality player for a multiple championship winning franchise. He played along future Hall of Famers Tim Duncan and Tony Parker. They won several titles, but most recently they went up against Lebron James when he was on the Miami Heat in 2013+2014. They would have beat Lebron TWICE if it weren't for Ray Allen's clutch game tying 3 pointer at the end of the 4th quarter in Game 6 to send the game to overtime where the Heat won and then eventually won game 7. The Spurs did come back to beat the Heat the next season in the finals. The Spurs are probably the closest thing to a dynasty between the era of the 90's Bulls and the recent Warriors teams.
9:35 Curry very rarely dunks, and he literally had the longest arms in the league right behind him, so smart choice to give it up. Also, gotta give some love to Draymond Green for the innitial pass.
Curry may be the most underrated passer I have ever seen/ kind of shocked by the absolute lack of Chris Paul considering he always is a top assist leader
when a player passes to another player after the other team scored is called an inbound pass. The person passing it is out of bounds so if they were to step back into play while the ball is still in their hands, it would be a turnover to the other team. #16 on the list is a full court inbound pass with only 1.1 seconds left. The clock doesn't start until it is touched inbounds but once that happens, if the clock hits zero and the ball is still in the offensive player's hands, the basket doesn't count. The ball can't be touching any part of the shooter's body when the clock hits zero. Also, love your reactions. I think you might enjoy reacting to Five Point Vids series on American sports stadiums. He covers all four major sports, he also has videos on college football, international stadiums that are interesting, etc. His best videos are the ones covering the worst stadiums in sports.
The "Italian" guy is Manu Ginobili, one of the greatest international players to ever do it. He's from Argentina. You should check him out, he just recently retired.
2:05....lovely example of how strict the traveling rule is in the NBA. Curry clearly steps behind the 3 point line, after receiving the pass, and never dribbles.
@@jordaniumjordanicus no, I know you get 2 steps to settle, but he was clearly settled, and then took 2 more steps back. Its whatever, but they should just alter the rule or something because generally speaking, you have to take like 7 steps to get called lol.
Also the guy referred to as possibly Italian (#20 for the San Antonio Spurs), is Manu Ginóbili...he's Argentinian, but probably has Italian heritage for all we know
If you love assists, please do a reaction on Jason Kidd's Top 45 assists (NBA), any Nikola Jokic assist compilation, or San Antonio Spurs - the Beautiful Game. You wont regret ANY of em.
Passing it through the defenders' legs is often called a nutmeg in basketball too. Well, by a lot of people. Some don't know the word and just describe it like you said (through their legs).
@@Ice-916 A player who receives the ball while he is progressing or upon completion of a dribble, may take two steps in coming to a stop, passing or shooting the ball. A player who receives the ball while he is progressing must release the ball to start his dribble before his second step.
@@JJlI2009 sir he wasn't progressing. He was stationary until catching the ball. The whole basis of the rule you just stated is primarily focused at the instance when a player is running toward the basket. A player moving backwards, as Curry was, will never be considered progressive movement. It is a blatant travel.
things that you probably need to know to get some context is the positions played in basketball. Point guards carry the ball (traditionally) that's why most of the passes you see here are from guys like Curry, Isaiah Thomas, Derrick Rose, Westbrook. Point guards are traditionally the playmakers of the team but it may vary depending on the coach and the skillset of players. LeBron James, despite being a Small forward is an excellent playmaker. Nikola Jokic despite being 6'11 ft, playing as center, is regarded as one of the best passing centers in history. he revolutionized his position in the modern era of basketball.
Nothing major just a bit of knowledge. When a player goes up and doesn’t physically put it in the basket it’s called a “Lay-up” compared to when they slam it in which is considered a dunk ! I recommend a reaction to Manu Ginobili who’s an Argentine player who’s considered one of the pioneers of some of the greatest layups the NBA has seen !
If you watch Russell Westbrook, watch his MVP season highlights. He broke the triple double record that season (a triple double is when a player has at least ten points, ten rebounds and ten assists) and averaged 30, 10, and 10. He carried the thunder to the playoffs that year. The game where he broke the record, he scored 50 points and eliminated the Denver nuggets from playoff contention with a deep three point shot.
nutmegs are probably even a little more common in basketball than soccer because in basketball it’s generally illegal to kick the ball. it’s illegal for the defense to do it at all and the offense can’t do it unless it was blatantly accidental
you should react to westbrook top 30 plays, he is known for his great athleticism and dunks, but his passing, dribbling and clutch are great too, so watch that video
Watch Rajon Rondo. One of the best passing/pure point guards in the league at one point. There's a reason why the number one play on this video was his assist. Can't figure out why more of his assists didn't make it onto this list, though.
It may take a while to get around to but it would be great if you could react to Damian lillards 50 point game to eliminate the thunder in last years nba playoffs. Or just anything from lillard, he’s my favorite player and one of the best point guards in the league. Maybe all time highlights, but something up to date so that it has a certain shot that he made in the game I initially mentioned.
