I think what people forget is Christina was compared to Britney so much that she decided to take her career in her own hands in terms of her look, her voice, being over who she worked with, her writing, etc. and in turn she found her own lane and cemented her legacy. It’s the fans and media that always try to bring the 2 back together and when Christina dodges questions about her, she gets called disrespectful but when she defends Britney, ppl say she’s not doing enough to help.

I think the difference also between Brittany and Christina though about that is Brittany didn’t have the supporter for family like she should’ve Christina did I think Christina didn’t have the support of her mom because Christina had a support her mom and her stepdad even though Christina is biological father wasn’t in her life, but she had her stepdad and they supported her and I think that’s what made Christina that strong. Brittany didn’t have that Brittany had people encouraging her because her mom and everybody wanted her to listen to the company. I think both of them admire each other in a way - they are very different but fans love both . I lived for that MYV performance. It's understandable that Britney would feel bad about this, but it's immature of her not to point out that the promotional photos and tours were more about business strategies than a mere decision by the artists themselves (Christina and JT), certainly all of that It was the work of both their managers, who were releasing albums at the same time, both friends since the MMC days, and also Christina with a reputation as a 'rival' and Justin the ex, only this would give all the visibility that the companies wanted, and Britney knows very well what these things are like. It's strange to me that she suddenly blurted out this question and didn't mention that Christina was engaged to her ex-first husband at that time. It seems to me that Britney wants, maybe always wanted to compromise Christina's name, that she didn't mention that Christina was the only one from that industry to send her a letter of support around 2007, while everyone else ignored it or made fun of her mental breakdown
But Christina agreed with it, knowing how it was gonna be portrayed and had no problems hurting her 'best friend' Britney. And the letter was it her idea or a PR stunt, because apparently she made it public.
Those artists weren't under anyone's control. They made their own decisions, their managers don't make decisions for them - they're not in a conservatorship. I would say none of them are as famous as Beyonce who started the same time as all of them, but Christina is still doing her thing and is in control of her music and business. That’s all! Wow Christina looks amazing! There’s no reason to hate Christina… it’s like constantly being linked to some girl you went to highschool with and had a few classes with. They have never claimed to be best friends or anything. Christina doesn’t owe Britney anything. Especially after what Britney said about Christina hiring larger back up dancers to look smaller. That was pretty mean.
All of you people hating on Christina when it comes to Britney need to quit. Newsflash. A good and proper judge isn’t going to be influenced by Christina speaking on someone she hasn’t had regular contact with in years and isn’t a medical professional. So while Christina can feel bad for her, root for her and all of that. THERE WAS NOTHING SHE CAN DO. Conservatorships don’t work like that. I know first hand. I was in one for 19 years. The biggest thing that helped end it was the fact that Britney’s dad as her conservator asked for it to end. For most people in conservatorship it never ends. In my own experience much like Britney’s it wasn’t until something on the conservators end that they want to hide or not deal with happens that raises the opening for it to actually end.

Absolutely adore Christina. The media has always had it out for her because she never wanted to have the "girl next door" image Britney had so they tried other ways to tear her down. But respect to Xtina for not craving the spotlight and blazing her own trail. Both of these woman are icons but Christina will always be THAT girl to me with THAT voice.
I heard she talks about Chris Crocker in her memoir after his leave Britney alone video went viral. She wrote how she felt about him and talks more about him in her memoir

I think Christina may have felt cheated out of being as big as Britney. Or maybe more like in Christina's interviews, Britney would always be brought up & I think she didn't like that & understandably so.
That's how I always felt. Christina may have stronger vocals but Britney was more popular. Jessica Simpson and Mandy Moore might have both felt the same as well being less in demand compared to Britney. So many blonde popstars during that period. I was a fan of all but Britney was my favorite for some reason.

@JaysonM695 Believe me Christina has always acknowledged and said that Britney and Justin were each other’s crushes ever since the MMC and knew they’d be together. When was this supposed crush? At 8 years old? It’s stupid to bring it up as a point, be a fan of whoever you want.
@JaysonM695 I just rewatched that Carpool Karaoke episode for the sake of your comment and Christina just awkwardly laughs and tries to answer a stupid question on who was her crush at whatever age that was (10-12), whether it was Ryan Gosling or JT and the actual answer from her is that all the girls liked Justin more because he was cuter, lol. Why even bring that as a point to discredit Christina’s intentions with Justin?

Vocal talent, we all know Christina is a powerhouse but it's not fair to compare them because they have different range. but popularity wise and legendary status, Britney CLEARED Christina --- 100%.
