Tom Barclay Pitchy is often misused by TV singing judges as a catchier way of saying "off-pitch" or "out of tune". Pitchy, as it relates to tone, is a tautology. The addition of the y turns pitch (meaning - tone or musical note) into an adjective. It means "relating to a pitch" at that point. In essence, you are saying "pitch related to pitch". It is superfluous, and does not actually mean anything.
ThisIsTheMusicTV Fine... she hits a bunch of bum notes (slightly off pitch). Is that clearer? I'm a musician, and I know an off pitch note when I hear it. Regarding the Alien video... It's more a case of, were there any on pitch notes? I couldn't listen to it all the way through, because doing so hurt my ears. I have heard many singers "warm up", both amateur and professional, and none of them sounded as bad as she did. She sounded like a tone deaf teenager singing in the shower. Sorry, but as far as her singing career is concerned, I think Britney's days are numbered. Of course, she always has auto-tune to extend her singing career.
Tom Barclay I was complaining only about "pitchy" as an adjective... I didn't say she's perfect or that she's the best singer in the world. I just wanted to point out that she can sing live and quite well, if we compare her to other pop singers.
rebeldemania2007 shes been my favorite singer of all time ever since oops!…i did it again came out when i was five & now im almost 21!!! shes the one who inspired me 2 be a singer when i grow up!!! when i listened 2 the album a few times i decided i wanted 2 be a singer too! i wanted 2 get discovered & get a record deal at 15 or 16 like she did, but i know its never too late 2 get discovered. ive seen her twice too! shes always gonna be my favorite singer ever!!!
She has been my favourite since baby one more time I'm 30 since I'm about 8 it's crazy how time fly's still love her and so sad what she went free this video is from when she was free and had a say in what she did in her music career and her own life then from 2008 to 2019 she didn't wish she will release music again as a free person which seems unlikely but hopefully ❤

ahaha I'm italian! sanremo festival! Pippo Baudo was presenting that year! so proud that she had one of her best live performances here in italy ;) she can be an amazing singer, it's just that she doesn't want to, due to the record label choices :( so she's forced to lip sync most of the times because she can't do that baby voice live!
I've always liked Britney (cuz I like bubble gum music), and while this does show she can sing, it definitely does not show she is an incredible or perfect singer. Those 2 women flanking her could outsing her in an instant (as could tens of thousands of others at any stage of her career), but they just didn't get the lucky card that marketed them from Mickey Mouse club to $100 million superstar. Success is 95% luck, whether in business or superstardom.

Wow this is the best live vocal...for sure... but i rather see her dancing... wish she do this for perfume and allien on las vegas.. actually sing and not just pretend
one of the reasons is that jive records damage her vocal cords because they wanted her voice to fit the image of pop back than a high pitched baby like voice so her vocal cords really got damage from that my music teacher said she might can get her original singing voice back when it was really powerful because they forced her to sing in a baby pitch voice but she can still sing tho just not like back than when she was younger
Todos los días escucho este tema. Su voz es hermosa, un poco artificial su "baby voice". Noto que las chicas del coro cantan cuando llega a notas muy bajas, para mí esas notas son las mejores.

Can't believe I'm hearing it. The voice is so weak...I hear how difficult it is for her not to sing out of tune. Sorry to all her fans. I think she's a great person, but the facts are unfortunately clear.
