I don't understand why female pop icons feel the need to dress like strippers. You don't see guys around their ages and leave of success wearing bow ties and tight crotch pants like Chippendale strippers. What does it say to young girls that even talented women like Rihanna, Madonna, Britney (both lesser talents) and occasionally Katy Perry can't seem to rely on their talent alone to sell tickets?
Seriously, these are 1998 level vocals when she had power and before she started pitching herself up rediculously on her albums. She needs to sing like this both on her albums and live more. She looks so confident and sounds really good. With more consistent practice those high notes could be killer.
windynichya people are saying these aren't the best vocals- which they aren't- but they are GOOD. she probably hasn't practiced or strengthened this range in a long time, let alone with detail. this shows her voice still has the raw base of talent and could easily be fantastic with working on this range to the extent they worked her higher vocals. she has a beautiful natural voice.
I'm a Celebrity they're airy, but they also have no core behind them. pretty, but not where her voice naturally belongs. (also- it's commonly called a head voice for women. most people agree that only men have falsettos, although some do think so.)
bl4ckmt4l What are you talking about? How can THIS be her voice heavily trained if she rarely ever sings these days, let alone singing in her natural register. Yes, there are a few off key moments and she is a bit out of breath AND her technique is not very good BUT overall she was on point. A heavily vocally trained Britney would put Xtina, her screaming and many other singers to shame without even trying.
Fin Hatsune these vocals really aren't good they are very nasally and with a bad technique. The good news though is that she does seem to be getting more confident and in some parts these vocals do show she has a lot of potential to be great.
As a fan I am just happy to see her confidence is coming back. She ate that song. The people making fun of her stage costume are deflecting that Britney did that!
No matter what you say, shes still the true American dream girl. She started everything. Madonna was supreme and Britney is the Americas sweet heart ( supreme too ) you can never deny that most of the popstars nowadays are generic. They all have the same music. Britney is Britney. When u hear her voice, you know its her. Madonna loves her, lady gaga loves her, selena loves her, miley loves her, taylor loves her, pink loves her, mariah loves her and michael jackson loves her.

Was this the most amazing vocal performance ever? No, but it was definitely something special for Britney and her fans. Honestly, I'd love to hear a pop rock album with some country influences come out from Britney. This seems like the first time in forever that I've seen her give an engaging performance where she seemed to really love what she's doing. It's certainly a step in the right direction and I can't wait to see what she does once this residency is over with.
I wish I could hear an R&B album from her. I think her voice would’ve been beautifully suited for it, but she had to take the direction Jive wanted for her. Even though she was so young and so excited to do what she was doing, and maybe the sales wouldn’t have been as well and she wouldn’t be the superstar we know and love, I still believe her voice singing R&B would’ve been healthy and stunning. She would’ve flexed her lower register more and had better control. I wonder what would’ve happened had she waited til her 20’s to sign a deal.
Finally seeing and hearing Britney sing live and engaging with the audience like that after I don't know how long is so amazing and makes me so very much happy. It's definitely different than her usual performances that I have been seeing her do for a very long time and it's refreshing.
Britney always sang live in the beginning of her career! So.. she did an interview way back saying she much rather dance/perform! she said it's not easy to sing and dance at the same time. some of you can't even run a mile and have a full conversation after that, without being out of breath. now, that she's older and doesn't dance as much she should sing live more often!
Im happy for her. I hope she keeps singing life. This is her real town, its a lower tone not that baby voice they made her to sing. I hope she records with her "real" tone that will enable her to sing live and to keep her voice healthy!

this is her real voice. I wish she use it more often and begin practicing with it more. she is an all around entertainer and she is good at what she does. hopefully she opens up a little bit more just like before the media has torn her up. love you Brit.

From what I've researched I think she started dancing more because the breathy Lolita voice was to hard to maintain. She could have easily done her natural voice and learned dancing similar to Shakira or Shania
She feels more and more confident! Britney is just to humble that's why she is the American girl everyone loves ( even they say no) she is so adorable and charming that's why we love to see her on stage.
