The fact is, there was a period in time where she was the best in the world and nobody can take that away from her. Britney Spears DEFINED an entire era in pop culture, in celebrity, in history. It's Britney Spears one of the best and most iconic performers of all time. Like we all know she can sing, but she just doesn't do it live because her voice isn't as strong as Mariah, or Beyoncé. X factor is not a "singing" show. They are looking for someone with the whole package. Britney Spears is the perfect performer because she is marketable and is iconic. This level of fame is what any singer would strive for on this show.

This performance shows how fake these TV shows are. A "judge" with pretty limited singing abilities, who cannot longer dance like she used to, stuck in the same teen pop she sang when she was 17, and the light inside of her that made her special and magical now washed away.

Pretty limited singing abilities? You're one of those who think a powerful voice is the only kind of good voice that counts, I guess. Etta James, Madonna and other legends are limited according to you. She has a really good voice, that sounds in the low range that sounds almost like a whisper is practically impossible to imitate, which makes her brand unique, unlike manyother artists with super strong voices.

For example, "I'm A Slave 4 U" VMA performance, arguably one of her best, she was definitely lip syncing - and that was at the height of her pre-meltdown career. People love Britney because they love Britney, lip syncs and all.
