Even here in the UK they’re tough to get ahold of unless you wanna pay over. Took me weeks to finally get myself the all star colourway, new wave is never in stock unless you’re like a size 5.
@@MM-jc7uv I agree...and as someone who watched the draft back in 1995 when we got Garnett that's saying something because The Big Ticket was one hell of a player.
The Wolves' defense is historic, they held Denver to only 80 points in game 2, giving them a 2-0 lead over the defending champs with an all time offense. As for the Wolves keeping him, he is locked in to a super max with them for the next 6 years at the moment. As long as they keep winning, he'll want to stay there and lead the team, and it looks like he might lead them to their first ring this year at only 22. As KAT and Gobert get older and their contracts up, that's more money set aside for Ant as well.
With ANT on the T-Wolves it is going to be an attractive team to play for. I think we will see other NBA players wanting to sign with the Wolves to play along side ANT.
Being from Minnesota I’ve learned to not get too excited when playoffs roll around. Twins, Vikings, Wild 😞 …but it’s a different feeling this year with this team. GO WOLVES!💙🏀💚
This is definitely different the way everyone is blowing their load about this defense. It's something else the way they're handling the Nuggets right now.
Literally just left from Minneapolis today, it's fantastic. It was the Milling capital of the world and has notable attractions like St. Anthony Falls, stone arch bridge, skyway system(you can walk into where the Wolves play to enter), and the best biking infrastructure in the US. I enjoy good defense more than offense so this T'Wolves team is a blast to watch
You think of him as "smaller" but he's 6'5, 230 pounds... He's taller and faster and stronger and quicker than 99.9% of the professional athletes in any sport.
Minneapolis (Not including the entirety of Minnesota) is the 15th largest market in the US. In front of Denver, Miami, San Antonio, Cleveland, Indianapolis, and many more.
That’s a great question at the end Daz, Karl Anthony-Towns his teammate number 32 has said that Ant loves the grind in Minnesota and being the underdog and isn’t real WOWED or amazed by the bigger market teams like the La Lakers or Miami heat so hopefully Any can stay in Minnesota thru his entire career
as long as they can keep winning, his personality will give him more than enough other opportunities to build his brand. as for his weakness - he’s still inexperienced, the jumpshot can sometimes leave him for stretches, and he’s still learning to read defenses ahead of time. however he’s right now progressing rapidly though, so he’s in the middle of fixing those issues
I think you guys should do a Kevin Garnett trash talking video after this and the Larry Bird trash talking video. It would be perfect as he made a big impact on both the Timberwolves and the Celtics
as a 20 yr old dude from MN I'm all in on Minnesota sports (besides baseball just never got into it) since Blair Walshe's wide left to the Minneapolis Miracle, KAT Hate, Butlers Stint, ANT's draft and Rudy's signing I've never been so geeked up in my life besides maybe the 2022 Vikings feels like I'm literally melting with happiness wolves are going to go undefeated RS.
0:46 it’s not that teams don’t want to draft players straight from high school, it’s that there’s a league rule that a player isn’t eligible for the NBA until he’s 1 year out of high school. Most guys go to college and some do a year in the G-League. NFL has a similar rule but it’s 3 years removed from high school instead because of the nature of the game and the physicality…having an 18 year old play against guys in their late 20s would be very dangerous.
Ant has said a lot he enjoys being in Minnesota and wants to stay. Minnesota also has a pretty decent market for basketball as well and with a player like him, they could push into big market territory.
As far as high/long jumpers go you should check out Guy Dupuy. He’s not very tall but has won many dunk competitions in his career. I think he’s like 5’10”
In the nba it’s really up to the players. You got guys like giannis who want to stay with the “smaller market” team that drafts them. You also get Lebron and dame who could’ve/wanted to stay with their draft team their entire careers but the team just couldn’t create a winning team around them so they eventually leave. Every team can pretty much afford to keep their star rookie because of the way rookie contracts, max contracts and the players rights work in the nba.
After ANT's pass to himself off the backboard for the dunk the two Memphis players @2:31 look at each other as if to say "How the F*ck are we suppose to stop that"?
Yes as long as they build a good team around him and pay him he could play there forever. Depends on people’s personalities. Dirk played his whole career for Dallas, others have for smaller market teams, depends on the person. He just resigned in Minnesota 5 years 250 million last summer so he will be there a while
10:55 If Minnesota does a good job in building/maintaining a solid team around Ant, I think he's the type of guy to stay loyal to the team that drafted him and stick around.
@@oliversoderberg299 yes sir they have been really impressive this year. So if they can continue to maintain or even build and improve the roster further, I think Ant would wanna play his entire career there.
From what I am seeing he has no need to leave Minnesota nor does it look like he wants to go to a bigger market team. That’s if the Timberwolves can continue to properly compete in the league. Which from what I am seeing right now they are competing.
I hate this narrative the media is building around him. Even he has rejected the comparisons and labels cause he feels like he hasn't earned any of it...yet!
This is my first look at him and he is an impressive athlete. I would like to see him do a bit less one on one offensively--the rest of the team stands around and watches--maybe it is just these highlights and they play differently the majority of the time. When he was making all of those moves to get jumper off of a stationary pivot foot, there were teammates open for 3pt shots. Also, a couple of these times he was working from a stationary pivot foot in paint for 4-, almost 5 seconds (I counted). Isn't 3 seconds a thing anymore? Also, separately from this talented kid, the one on one defense is absolute crap--no one moving their feet, going for head fakes, body faints, etc., so easily--absolute crap. Is this the NBA now?
@@thorkagemob1297 Where do you source that he was stronger? Do you have weight room lifts for both players? Kobe at this age was averaging the same amount of assists.
Nice reaction video. Nah, Ant locked down for years at around 200 million right now. Next super max for him may be north of 400 million, which is dependent on staying with existing team. Don’t see him Going anywhere in all likelihood. 😊
Bringing up LA is a bit harsh. An old wound. Bit a wound before my time. Lakers is reference to ships that only run on Great Lakes. Like the Edmund Fitzgerald.
The guy having a fantastic season and even better postseason, but it's too early for all this. He hasn't won anything and he's not a league MVP. Jokic just won his 3rd MVP and he has a title, and we're saying this kid is the goat of the generation?
When he’s focused or in big games, he tends to reign that part in. Last year he shot 37% from 3 which I think he’s capable of moving forward. He was at that number most of the year until late in the season when it dipped after a cold stretch post finger injury.
3:35 don't take yourselves serious as a basketball franchise, if you paint your court that color. It's suppose to look like wood, you're ruining the game :(...is everything just about marketing and ads? How much fucking money do these people need?
Because of his pedestrian name and the fact that he plays in the absolute hinterland of Minnesota, I'd never even heard of this guy until recently. The comparisons to Michael Jordan's athleticism seemed absurd until seeing THIS 2:52 As a Celtics fan he definitely worries me if the potential clash between the Celts and Wolves happens in the Finals.
@@NewRimHoops "Because of his pedestrian name and the fact that he plays in the absolute hinterland of Minnesota," I also do NOT follow the NBA closely any more. I have a life and I'm not into sports betting or Fantasy leagues. Regardless #GOCELTICS!!!!!@
Screw Kobe, Anthony Edwards is the closest thing that I've ever seen to Michael Jordan. Just the way he plays, his movement on the court, and his attitude; he is Michael Jordan reincarnated.
@@UnbiasedRemarks Well, you haven't seen much of Wade. Same height, same body type, great mid-range scorers with exceptional footwork and attitude. Great defensive guards. The comparison is nearly perfect.
