They need to do what the NHL did. Let em fight, first player to join gets thrown out. First player off bench 10k fine and 10 game suspension, any other players join from bench, 5k fine and 5 game suspension. In baseball's case they could just say any player other than the two who are trying to bitch slap each other 😂 It would only happen once at maximum in baseball again, cause they'd have to call up the minor league team for 5 games. I wouldn't mind a brawl if they all actually fought though 😂 Btw since the NHL put that rule in place, they haven't had a brawl in over 37 years cause its costly.
One thing MLB players can not do is fight without looking like 8 year old girls. A good knock down fight in MLB occurs about once a year. Jomboy doesn't believe in the unwritten rules of baseball and has stated this in a previous video. Admiring your homerun is a no-no and it WILL earn you a plunking. If not during that game, then somewhere down the road.
The "brawling" was just performative. Players are pretty much REQUIRED by tradition to clear the bench when a teammate gets in a scuffle. They don't actually connect unless they want a suspension, which hurts the team, as well as their wallets. This ain"t Hockey. If you punch an opposing player, you're gone for six games or more. Even back in the more rough-and-tumble 80s, Pete Rose was suspended for a month just for SHOVING an Umpire. That's a little different though. Punch an Ump, and you're in for a world of hurt. Bye bye season.
