No one laughs at their own bad jokes like Briggs. I would bet money he's never been to any of these cities in anything less than 10 years. He's being a proper nerd looking at graphs and charts solely.
I like how he keeps talking bad about NJ and then completely leaves out the stats in every video because why would he make himself look bad? #1 in education and consistently in the top 10 for healthcare, public safety, and wealthy income. Plus near the bottom on gun violence. 😂😂😂
Facts. He is dangling a string out there and hoping big government spending and in his own word "Healthcare services " are a viable mechanic of economic rebirth. There are already a ton of states that are benefiting from mass migration of intellectuals
I love Detroit! Downtown has nothing but good things going on and there are lots of new developments refurbishing the old beautiful buildings. If you look Downtown Detroit now compared to 5 years back , the difference is astonishing. The are around the new stadium, the district, city modern area, corktown , the riverfront, the list goes on and on. A lot of the city still sucks, but the suburbs are in general wealthy and stable. Pittsburgh, Cincinnati are awesome as well as Cleveland. The astronomical costs of the cities on the coast will definitely help the cities mentioned above.
Interesting Gaynor said in Liverpool they were selling one pound houses to revitalize the area, because didn't they start selling $1 houses in Detroit that was run down but nobody wanted to buy them? I'm pretty sure that was a thing.
I live in Chicago and have been going to Detroit for business for close to 25 years. So much potential and the improvement is happening. And I am happy to see that. It have no doubt that Detroit will make it. There is so much there and at a very affordable cost. My friends here used to ask me about my trips to Detroit expecting some horror story. I looked forward to my trips there. Yes, I got sick of the distances between client calls and I had to watch where I booked my hotel but I REALLY liked my clients there. It made for a great trip.
I left Detroit in 2007 and went back last year to visit family. It did look a lot different than when I left. I was happy to see it and I hope it continues to get better! I used to get frustrated that people from around the world, will group every city in Michigan with Detroit. We have a lot of nice areas here.
Aiden said before his favorite team was Cincinnati and Gaynor said that's a place where you wanna go, he said No. 🤣 That was fast, he must have changed his mind and thought about it for a second.
9:55 it's funny you say that.... Chattanooga is about one of the rainiest cities east of the Mississippi! Note: there's lots of beautiful days like that but lots of storms roll through!
I grew up in the Bronx but have lived in Buffalo nearly a decade. Housing costs are NOT lowering. It’s definitely cheaper than NYC, but each yearly lease renewal, rent is raised by at least $100 in Buffalo
Great video as always. What he doesn’t mention but is important to keep in mind, poverty & certain crimes, are not separate. It is proven over and over again, you reduce the poverty- you reduce crime. Obviously it’s not that simple but point can still be applied.
Buffalo has been on the up and up for the past several years. It's true though that the winter weather is a deterring factor. Cold weather is mostly unavoidable come winter but in BLo it's pretty impossible to ignore that and the snow, some winters are worse than others though. But things don't get cancelled because of snow in Buffalo like they do in the South, very rarely. If jobs continue to go remote, then it isn't much of an issue, but driving on icy roads is mandatory. The average summer temp there has gotten warmer though. I think a true comeback as a city is still years away, but that's the direction they're going in. It's kind of like Britain in that you should expect people to have a bit of an attitude cause of the weather and the fact that they live in Buffalo. Also Memphis sucks and what he's asking in regard to the crime is a big stretch nowadays, it's getting more and more rampant actually in Tennessee's cities.
As a former Buffalonian, am encouraged by the revitalization campaigns there, as well as other major Great Lakes cities. Their slogan is “Boost Buffalo, it’s good for you!”
I moved to Pittsburgh 2 months ago. If I would take content like this to heart, I'd live in a bunker. Don't forget that this content creator has to constantly re-invent himself for views. He literally bashed all these cities in one of his vids, but now he's praising them. Like I said, I moved to Pittsburgh and love it.
We absolutely do not date any of our cousins in Arkansas 😂Now I did live in a small town and a guy asked for my number and when he called, I found out that we had the same last name and ended the call. Further research revealed that we were in fact cousins 😂
I live in columbus ohio and in my opinion cleveland ohio will never rebound. It seems like anything in north ohio doesn't really do well and people that live there always want to relocate.
Lived in Buffalo for a few years. Mostly great people, but a lot of crime as the guy said and brutal winters. Rooting for a comeback but I won’t be sticking around for it
I've spent a fair amount of time in most of the cities mentioned. In a lot of ways, they are very much like Manchester was 15 or 20 years ago. Affordability is the key. Just wait - most of these cities will be very desirable in the future.
The video narrator is going to kill his own brand. All of his interactions with comments on his videos are rude. He takes offense to anyone that dares to add, question or speak on his opinions. Then calling out any that stand out to him on the next video 🤷🏽♂️ seems illogical at best
I’m typing from Indianapolis. We have the only budget surplus of any state in the great lakes area. Sadly, our “woke” Dixiecrat mayor was reelected to a third term 🤬
@roadtofreedom01 they're right though... I'm also from Indianapolis and we'd be improving much faster if the people here stopped voting against their own self interests..
I went to Indianapolis for a game and thought the city was quite nice. From what I saw it was very clean. Lucas Oil is probably the best stadium I've ever been to.
