Ridiculous talent X5. As far as I'm concerned, they are the G.O.A.T. I just watched a live performance of this by the guys, off mic, completely a cappella and it sounds as awesome as this studio version. Their musicianship is beyond awesome. They have to be perfectly synchronized with every aspect of it or it will "rub." Nothing brilliant? Wow. This is one of their most beautiful art pieces showcasing their individual talent and skill. No accounting for taste, I guess. Every other person who's ever listened to this was blown away. odd.

This is in my top five of Home Free for sure. Another, if you haven't done it, is Can't Outrun You. It's a _fabulous_ showcase of Chance's luscious baritone and an absolutely brilliant video as well with a genius use of color.

I used to sing in an acapella chorus and we always strove to send a wall of sound. We just got a Master's class with this. Sends shivers up the spine. Sometimes simplicity speaks for itself. Another good reaction.

Hi, guys. You should take into account that they are from different parts of the US and each of the guys have his own accent. Still the harmonies are amazing.

I grew up listening to Crosby, Stills & Nash & had their album with this song Helplessly Hoping. Absolutely loved them & their harmonies. This song is full of alliterations. Home Free more than does justice to all the songs they cover. And this song is perfection to me with the 5 part harmonies. I can't say enough about how great these guys are & humble while still staying respectful to the original song.

I truly appreciate their ability to maintain perfect harmony and blending. If one is off pitch even slightly it just wouldn't be proper.

They did this song justice. It was Chance's project from start to finish as he loves this song. It is so different from their norm but as you said, it is a class on building harmonies. I do find there is a sense of fragility in the original song that they carried through so well. I find that I unconsciously hold my breath during this song as if the mere act of breathing could break that fragility of sound. There is video of them doing this song off mic at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville and even with a crowd of people in the seats, you could have heard a pin drop.

Thank you for your great thoughtful reaction. The 5 part harmonies was superb. A suggestion for your next Home Free reaction is Garth Brooks cover AINT GOING DOWN TILL THE SUN COMES UP. It is completely opposite of Helplessly Hoping. This is a brash fast paced song that shows off the beatboxer Adam Rupp’s talent. If you chose to do it you will need to pull from Home Free’s Facebook page because Garth Brooks or his record label would not let them post it to RU-vid. You gentlemen have a blessed day.

In the U.S. and Canada (I'm Canadian) there is also a huge variety in accents. Insofar as Home Free - 3 of them are from the southern states (the bass - Tim Foust is from Texas; the high tenor - Austin Brown is from Georgia; and the bass/baritone - Adam Chance is originally from Alabama); Adam Rupp (beatboxer) and Rob Lundquist are both from Minnesota. A southern U.S. accent has nothing in common with a New York or New England accent.

It's such purity. The video is designed to focus entirely on that. I can't imagine how every note, every breath had to begin and end together, as if they were a single instrument. As you said, like an organ.

I grew up with CSN/CSNY. I LOVE HF version of this. The harmonies are glorious,,, Tim’s low note near the end of this is like a bagpipe drone. I believe Chance brought this to the guys to do it.

They did it justice. I was skeptical on how they might massacre CSN but I am happily surprised at how it sounded. I got goosebumps at the beginning too, their voices are very nice and suited well for this song.

Not echo, reverberation. You'll hear echo in the middle of their Brothers in Arms cover, as well as a more pipe organ sound for the whole song.

No, BP2 its not been a little while since going back to Home Free. It was two weeks ago with "End of the Road" and with todays offering that's 6 video's in the last two months and a total of 12 alltogether. Not as many as AJ with 27 videos which I am pleased about or Pentatonics also 27 video's. I dont feel too bad now, trying to push Daneliya Tuleshova video's on the channel because with only 4 in total I dont feel she's getting the support she deserves from the chanel. Come on guys, can we even things up a bit.

@Peter Richards Hi Peter, that's a fair point and we try and mix up the artists to keep things interesting for all viewers. We have done quite a few new artists and quite a few revisits and try and give a good-cross mix to all styles of music. We try and support as many artists as we can and also introduce new ones, ultimately it just comes down to us remembering which artists we need to go back and revisit. As you can imagine the list of requests we have is massive and we are always getting new suggestions. It's a bit of a juggling act Peter and we try our best to support all the artists we can. Hope that helps and yes, we will return with more from Daneliya

@Eric McCrite The score is our just for a bit of fun and we are not scoring the talent, that is off the charts, only the song. And for this song we gave it an 8 as we don't know it and the guys have done better ones. That's only in our opinion, you can give it a 10/10 if you want, that's totally up to you. Cheers

Always great harmonies from these guys 🙂 I agree on the score though, but if I'm honest it's because I'm not fussed on the song itself. The boys are aways on the nose with the way they blend their vocals though, so they're always pleasant to listen to!
