That was what I was thinking when she was gagging. It also took me a while to eat a jar of Branston Pickle. Has to chop it into tiny bits so I could spread it very thin.

Yeah nobody wants to drink water or orang juice with peanut butter. Milk is for cookies and peanut butter. Or cookies with peanut butter in them.

As a picky American eater who has never liked jelly, I always had just peanut butter & bread in my sandwiches every day in school. I absolutely hate a peanut butter sandwich now as an adult! I also cannot eat Skippy anymore because that's what I ate everyday as a kid. I switched to Jif in my teens & it's still the only brand I will eat - but I can't eat it in a sandwich or on thin bread, only on warm Texas Toast. My mom & dad used to put butter on everything that had bread (my uncle even put butter on steak - he was a farmer) so my nephew started wanting butter on his peanut butter sandwiches when he was about 3. I never put the butter on the bread, so I used to tell him it was under the peanut butter (he only eats the Reese's brand peanut butter). He caught on to the no butter quickly, so we had to put the butter on top of the peanut butter & show him before he would eat a sandwich after that 😂.

Of course, the irony is that the US does have A TON of healthy cereals as well.

But they didn’t so much. I think they had the right level of expectation. But yeah, I’ve seen the reactions of others to these kinds of sugar cereals where they act all surprised that they are actually… sugary. Lol, what do they expect? Are they surprised when ice cream or cookies are sweet too?

I eat a lot of candy in the United States and I have ever since I was a kid and peanut butter is not in most of our candy, as a matter of fact I rarely buy candy that has peanut butter

Fruity Pebbles and Cinnamon Toast Crunch are my 2 favorite cereals and even though I love Reece Cups and Reese's Pieces I absolutely hate Reese's Puffs cereal

hardly ever eat cereal but cinnamon toast crunch and golden grahams are up there for sugary ones. the frosted honey bunches of oats are solid too.

The government in England has a lot to say about what types of food they eat. Especially when it comes to certain dyes, sugar and caffeine. That happens to be because of their socialized medicine which by the way is not free they pay for it through their taxes and hefty tax at that.

Most of the sugar content is in the marshmallows. Which, like a child, she was separating out and eating. So yes, that would make it seem very sugary because she was eating the sugar straight.

I have relatives & friends who are deathly allergic to peanuts & other nuts. I also worked for an US airline call center & if someone told us that they had a peanut allergy, the entire plane had to be nut free - that's partially why airlines changed from offering small packs of peanuts on flights to pretzels in the 1990s/2000s. I have a cousin who became allergic to tree nuts in her teens (she ate them all the time before that) & had to carry an epi pen with her after her throat swelled up after eating a brownie with walnuts in it. I have allergies as an adult that I didn't have growing up too. I'm actually allergic to a mite in snow - which is inconvenient when I live in Northeastern Minnesota! I grew up in the 1970s & 1980s & I do remember one classmate who had food allergies, so we couldn't bring that food to class parties or had to bring multiple options so everyone could get one. We did not have any peanut restrictions in the whole k-12 school complex when I was in school (it was a small town with about 50 kids in each grade). By the late 1990s & early 2000s, my son came home with a list of foods that were not allowed in specific classrooms or the cafeteria (the neighboring towns merged, so there was about 150 kids in each grade afterwards). My son's class didn't have peanut butter restrictions, but there was a kid who was allergic to sprinkles. I didn't know you could be allergic to sprinkles until then - thought they were just sugar, but apparently not.

Corn Flakes, Raisin Bran and Shredded Wheat are just hard to beat. I believe all the other cereals are mostly gimmicks.

Because in England their food is very bland. When it comes to seasoning they live under a f****** rock. Their claim to fame when it comes to a food dish is sausage and MASH which is nothing but sausage links and mashed potatoes with no seasoning. One of their favorite sandwiches over there which is not really healthy is a pound of bacon between two pieces of bread with lots of butter. Didn't they have their fish and chips which everybody knows they call French fries chips but that batter deep fried fish to eat what time you get done eating it there's a half a cup of oil drained off of it on your plate. I've never ate any kind of food that I didn't like because of the texture and this obsession with them smelling everything.
