Mate, I've even had the best fish and chips of my life in Brazil. It's not just the quality, but the variety and easy availability. When you are in Brazil, you don't need to plan what you want to eat. Just eat anything, anywhere, you come across during the day.
@@samil5601 depends where you get your fish, the north is best to find fresh fish the middle to down south is more expensive because they import from north and can get spoiled rather quickly.
Less than impressed with this group! The guy and the girl seemed much more open to trying new things, at least. I appreciated them. Perhaps assign the ones who need sauce on everything to sauce tasting videos.
I’m so sorry but the two Brit’s you don’t need sauce with everything. Which surprises me because all of your foods are so bland so it’s eerie you both ask for sauce???
Etc.
I am brazilian, live in London and could not finish watching this video is a such a violation to my people food say that feijoada needs a sauce lmao how about get more cultured and eat more than nandos? lol smh
As a brazilian, i need to say the dishes presented are not in their best presentation. The feijoada is suposed to be a stew, the dish is very dry, and farofa makes it even dryer...the picanha was waaaaaay overcooked! In Brazil we call Picanha like that "piece of charcoal" or "waste of good meat". This seems to be very commom on videos of people from other countries trying brazilian food: They try VERSIONS of brazilian dishes, made in a very diferent way.
That picanha looks overcooked and somewhat dry as well. And, while Brazilians will mostly be offended by the "sauce" girl, we do sometimes eat our meat with what we call the "vinagrette" or "molho à campanha", a vinegar based sauce prepared with onions, tomatoes, grren bell peppers and parsley or cilantro.
Two things that make these types of videos difficult. The culture of making bad food and using sauce on everything to disguise the taste, just like Americans do. The second is Buzzfeed's lack of interest in delivering food at the right temperature. Fried foods, like cheese balls, meat and French fries, when eaten cold are horrible and even I, a Brazilian siu, wouldn't give it a high rating.
I second that! Americans and some other nations need sauce in everything. Anything that is not wet (sauce) is too dry. They taste pretty much the seasoning/sauce and the main ingredient is a mere base to hold the sauce. You see Americans doing those huge barbecues and the put so many seasoning on the meat that it does not matter what cut their using because they only need the most tender and juicy meat that they will never taste the of that specific cut. Even French fries needs sauce. Usually you see them dipping them in ketchup. It's okay, I like it too but even the simplest food needs a sauce or a hot of seasoning and still they can't cook delicious rice and beans, that why they do not like them. In England beans come in cans and they have it on top of a toast for breakfast. Many foreigners that come to Brazil love our food and they are surprised to know that we add just garlic to everything and it tastes the hell of a lot better than the rice and beans they have in their country, lmao.
I agree. She thinks she's too cool for school with her unappetizing long nails, funny costume and everything falling out of her top. Does she think anyone takes her seriously?
I've never seen foreigners give such low ratings to Brazilian food before. And OK, everyone has their own tastes, but have mercy! Wanting to put sauce on everything is the same thing as wanting to industrialize food, and in our country we like food with flavor, seasoning and especially natural.
@kidogames3455 I meant a portion on their own plate, ect, doesn't have to be a whole portion if it's a meal. But some of the items I wouldn't share like that... maybe just me, but I don't like double dipping.
Why would you ever need sauce on a feijoada? It is a stew, there is a lot of broth with it. Maybe this feijoada was a little bit dry? TBH, all of the dishes presented to them seemed like subpar versions of the original recipes...
açai is good, but the problem is the amount of sugar they usually put in it. At its natural state, it is a little bitter, not sweet at all (not like blueberries, etc).
I really like the guy and the girl in striped shirt! They were respectful and seemed excited to try something new, even when he gave a low score to something i love i got it, that was fine, i trusted his opinion. The other girls though looked like they're trying to impress someone, they sound very fake and like they went in wanting to dislike the food. Idk what they were doing there, they started with negative commentary when every single plate arrived. They're not funny, just disrespectful and small minded.
The Two girls were the worse part of the vídeo. The guy and the girl was so open and respectful 👏 these girls need to stay in the UK with fish and chips AND SAUCE Youre WELCOME.
It's difficult to make a video showing Brazilian cuisine considering the immense diversity in our country... Bolinha de queijo? So many traditional and cultural dishes...
I HATE WHEN PEOPLE GO SPREADING THIS STORY THAT FEIJOADA WAS INVENTED BY THE SLAVES. 1: Pork feet, tail, ears, ribs, never, even in the modern days where considered leftovers parts from a pig, (might be in US, but not in Brazil, not even in Europe theses parts goes as leftovers). 2: Feijoada is a Portuguese dish, the Brazilian version is just a adaptation of that dish it products you can find in Brazil that time 3: DO YOU REALLY THINK SLAVE OWNER WOULD GIVE MEAT TO SLAVES? Slaves were feed with Cassava porridge and anything they could find in the wild, so if you think that slaves eat, eggs, chicken, pork, NO, their meet were snakes, bugs, monkeys or fish if they had luck.
Why does BuzzFeed across multiple countries always choose "picky" people for these food videos? Like some of them act like they don't even like food and they just eat it to survive. How is that entertaining?
Imagine an empire going around the world to get some spices, then refusing to use it. Then trying to put sauce on Feijoada and on Picanha/Barbecue. Geez, this reaction is outrageous.
plus, a total diservice when it's not well cooked. That I wouldn't know, cause I'm not there. The thing is you make these reactions viral, and well... they just f*ed how you should really eat it
My dear Brazilians, let’s not get offended on peoples’ reactions, they have their culture, it’s ok not liking our dishes so much. I mean, It’s common knowledge that we have one of the best cousine in the world, so why bother? It’s just not for their taste, there’s no point on getting offended or being offensive.
Sorry, but if you're doing a food tasting video do you have to piss all over the food by dragging it? You have every right for it not to be your thing, but dont be a B about it. It doesnt make you look "cool" in the slightest. Just the opposite. If your thing is sweets like açaí and chocolate, just do those. Or watch some Josh and Ollie vids or React to learn some decorum.
@@heliocunhafilho8980 absolutely. And why açaí when you can get an açaí bowl anywhere? Where's the PÃO de queijo, where are the coxinhas, the shrimp stew, the caipirinhas... And to say feijoada smells... "Meaty" like that's a bad thing is like opening a steak and kidney pie and saying, "it looks... Meaty" with a snarky face. Start with an open mind. That's why you're there. Plenty of people would love to be in her position.
@@Lena-hf4vy I mean, açaí i understand cause the açaí is from Brazil and most people dont know that, but bolinha de queijo? it is just a cheese ball, it has nothing special on it, why dont show a coxinha instead?
The girls did not pass the vibe check, if you're thinking in coming to Brasil you better don't have that smik about it!!! The other two are totally welcome.
Açaí isn't naturally sweet, it is actually almost bitter. The sweetness comes either from the loads of sugar they put on the import stuff or the guaraná syrup they sometimes use as well.
I'm portuguese, and the way they presented those.... sad items as examples for each dish just sent me. What a disservice to brazilian food. The dishes can't be judged if they present a mockery knock off of the dish. Also, tell you're british without telling me you're british - " It needs sauce!"

My son is Portuguese my we are Latina Hispanic from Puerto Rico Puerto Rican name boricua and we respect Brazilian food and culture but you know a lot of the things are very similar to that in our Caribbean so BUEN PROBECHO
Brazil is 1000 times bigger and way more diverse than Puerto Rico. If there are similarities, it's by a fraction to the northern region of Brazil and that would mainly be by african Sub-Saharan slave influences.
@@axxessmundino the similarities are south east brazil (maybe without são paulo) and north east. because of similar cultural make up of spanish carribean. they eat rice and beans, fried stuff etc.
@Avgeek.35K no, it's northern Brazil. Fortaleza, Ceara, Alagoas, Paraiba..etc. You can see it in the food, hear it in the music, see it in the people as well. You have small enclaves of hispsnic island diaspora in North Eastern Brazil.
I once brought Pao de Quejo to school and shared with my friends and they at first were like Them:"You put poison in this?" Me:"what? No!" They ate one "Woah... this is FIRE"
