When we asked Filipino people what food we needed to try during our visit to the Philippines, everybody said lechon! So, when we were in Bohol, we found a lechon stand to try it for ourselves.
For those who don’t know, lechon is a traditional Filipino dish of a whole roasted pig, usually eaten at big events like fiestas (very similar to the UK’s equivalent of a hog roast!).
We were served the lechon with white steamed rice, soup and atchara (Filipino pickles). It cost us 199 pesos (£2.65 GBP) each for this meal so it’s definitely an affordable lunch option and very tasty! We wished we tried it earlier on in our trip so we could eat more of it!
Thank you for watching. Like, comment and subscribe for more 🇵🇭♥️😃
