Brixton London is a neighborhood in south central known for its market, street food, and Caribbean roots. Here are our top things to do in Brixton:
🎤David Bowie Memorial - if you are a David Bowie fan, he grew up in the Brixton neighborhood of London. When you exit the Brixton tube station, you can cross the road and see the famous mural of him.
🎶O2 Academy Brixton - this is one of London's best known music venues. It has hosted some of the world's best musicians.
🛹Stockwell Skate Park and Walk - also known as Brixton Beach, this is a famous skatepark in Brixton. Right down the street from the skate park is also a giant mural.
🛍️Brixton Market - the market has food, clothing, and souvenirs. We got lunch from Fish, Wings, and Tings inside Brixton Village.
🍗Fish, Wings, and Tings - this is a Caribbean restaurant that is known for jerk chicken, cod fritters, and rum punch. It has a great vibe and plenty of outdoor seating.
🎵Pop Brixton - this area is made up of shipping containers. It has bars and restaurants plus an event space for music.
🍻Brixton Brewery Tap Room - this brewery is in the heart of Brixton and has several beverages on tap.
💡Electric Avenue - the iconic street is the first place in the UK to be lit using electric lighting.
