@@LeonXD111 If there was no stability he wouldn't recover, his high pull mixed with the roll definitely was a departure from flight, but the F-14 really likes going straight once it's done it's shit. You can see the wings are swept back, which shifts the center of lift quite far behind the center of mass.
@@dutch24 wrong, thats why they add fly by wire irlz like f16 but it cant do a cobra bc it doesnt have the right form, it needs to have a sustentation fuselage. Like su27, su57 or even f14 but it is more stable. The draken its a great example of a flying fuselage
@@LeonXD111 The F-14 was made before FBW, and it didn't have any. The Super Tomcat 21 proposal was gonna have FBW. IIRC the fuselage of the F-14 provided 60-40% of the lift depending on the wing configuration, and if the wings are swept forward the CoL almost matches up with the CoM. However if they are swept back that's going to move the CoL quite a bit back from the CoM, causing higher stability than if the wings were forward.
He did nothing unusual, you hold 2 keys and that's what happens. No skill required. More to say, this shit is ineffective 99% of time for both heat and radar missiles as they would kill you by proximity.
taking off from a airfield whit a BF 109 in SB is harder then what the guy did in the video. RB = telling the pilot where to fly, he does everything else for you in a nutshell. SB = you are the pilot and therefore have to do everything yourself, again in a nutshell. getting back to stable flight from a maneuver like this is the most impressive part and due to this being RB the pilot does all of that for him all he had to do was release the controls before stalling.
you can push his manuver even thruther by going into seprate engine control and lowering the thrust of a single engine while keeping it semi stable, but yea to pull that off without stalling is pretty nasty
@@normallymute0131 At that speed, he'd snap his wing if he went full barrel roll. I think he's on some sort of controller, or he's mastered the art of only tapping his keybinds.
No, the missiles saw the slow-down and adjusted for a continuous decline in speed, but the F-14 didn't keep slowing down it righted itself after a very short burst of 15G-braking, so the missiles undershot and went way behind.
@@427Arbok It's a loaded roll. All it entails is pulling back on the stick while also rolling. So shift and A or shift and D (if shift is your pitch up key like it is for me)
its a lot harder in a jet, if you're going to fast your pilot will just pass out and also you can rip wings and stuff, pretty much the only way to do this is on realistic controls unless you're in a draken or just rlly good (and lucky) i guess lol
Honestly, its harder on props, since their elevator and rudder authority is way lower. To do this on jets just go under ~450kph. Recovering is also REALLY easy if you point your nose down@@xander4218
Dude was using full real. It’s impossible to turn roll offset that fast without it. I still can’t believe they allow that shit in realistic and arcade.
@@jaegergernhardt9664 I wouldn’t personally count slightly controlled spinning as skillful. Two dude that I play with on Xbox have a button than momentarily enables full real and it just completely negates a missile. The maneuver they pulled was just an uncontrolled spin that was really easy to start and get out of. That’s not skill, it’s called bullshit.
at first i thought it was just a failed kvochur bell until i realised he dodged both of the missiles shot at him. props to the pilot for that skilled evasion
Fun fact: that’s a different maneuver where you use a snap roll to increase AOA over time unlike an actual Bell where you cobra and kick over at the same time.
