To answer confusion, remember back to when Eri was on Deku's back. She was rewinding all the damage he was inflicting on himself, and if there was no damage, rewinding him back to a "younger" state. Hence when they described her quirk, her caretaker got "rewound" into non-existence. When it's used on a normal person, the reason they lose their quirk is because their body gets "rewound" back to a point before their quirk manifests. He's using the bullet to "heal" himself.
Bro. I just realized something. I was already aware of all the Endeavor/Bakugo parallels in this ep, with the arm damage, reflecting on past mistakes, going all out against AFO, etc. But Horikoshi showed the difference in experience between the two of them through those parallels subtly by having Endeavor draw attention to AFO's switch to defense and change moves accordingly so he could have maximum impact with his biggest move. And then ShigAFO also raised his hands to block Bakugo's explosion, but Bakugo didn't switch tactics like Endeavor did and used his finishing move too early as a result. What a cool detail! I love finding stuff like this!
@@warfare__sam4047 As much as people love to thrash on Mha Horikoshi has done a amazing job with Endeavours charachter. He is easly my favourite charachter in the show
Endeavor’s a great pro hero. That’s just like, a fact, regardless of how I feel about him. In a weird way, this fight kinda shows off his best and worst attributes, as a hero, and as a person. As a hero, he’ll be willing to sacrifice his own arm just to get the job done. But as a person, he’s been running from his responsibility and past for a ridiculously long time, and he’s no different here. He’s been unable to confront his past head on, and will settle for figuratively burning the past for the second time instead of actually continuing to atone like he promised he would. Ultimately, it speaks to the kind of person that he is, someone who’s brave enough to go head to head with a villain like All for One and accept his wrongdoings, but too much of a coward to ever confront his own abusive past and go out of his way to atone for it. He can only admit that he was wrong and continue to run. All for One basically said “You’re awful,” expecting that to drag him down, and Endeavor just responded with, “you’re right, I am awful," and beats him. In a super weird way, I guess Endeavor is the perfect number one hero for society as is. A flawed and corrupt face for a flawed and corrupt society. It’s like poetry.
@@blacknoise Kinda. It’s a take that people apparently don’t hear too often so I like to get input and stuff. Worst case scenario I have people who just get angry, but I’ve heard a lot of interesting takes too.
The manga gave me full body chills but this- this was a whole different experience. Endeavor’s fire breathin panel was epic but seeing and hearing it was just A W E S O M E. Insane episode and loved the line “adults need to take the management to pave the way for the young one’s path” something a lot of adults need to learn and break that generational trauma cycle cuz DAMN.
no fr!! a lot of people may still hate endeavor, even through his redemption arc, and that's fine and all, but i love how his character's arc is going in a direction of his mindset being "what i've done in the past will never be forgotten, but that's okay bc i accept my mistakes and i'm just gonna keep atoning for what i've done for the rest of my life and, as long as we win this fight, the young ones will have their future and that's a good start" which tbh is such a good change of mindset compared to how he was in the past and it makes me proud to see his character have *this* type of growth. :')
This episode also just shows why Endeavor is so obsessed with strength, because his father wasn't able to save the girl or himself. He probably so badly wanted to be the strongest so that no matter the situation or what villian he was fighting he would win. Seeing All Might so many leagues above never allowed him to feel like he could.
Endeavor balled out. He was breathing fire. The man shot fire out of his eyes. Eat your heart out Superman. Endeavor lost an arm and was still able to control his flames to become a condensed, makeshift hurricane of flame in the shape of his arm. That’s fucking metal. He was channeling pure mad lad energy that Deku and All Might would be proud. He was a blazing inferno of living fire that was hellbent on just incinerating All For One. And he would have gotten away with it too if it weren’t for that pesky Rewind quirk. All For One, you sneaky devil. The juxtaposition between Endeavor and Bakugo recognizing their weakness was a nice touch. They even both got their right arms messed up. Nice parallel. We have Endeavor being driven by his own sense of weakness in an effort to overcome the death of his father. In his mind, Enji’s father died because he wasn’t strong enough to save that little girl and Enji curses that weakness everyday. It’s the source of all of his flaws and awes. It’s his origin. Now he understands even more about his own weakness in that he destroyed his family in his attempt to become superhuman like All Might. He realizes that he will never be as pure of heart as All Might or Deku and will never attain the power of One For All. However, he will keep cursing his weakness and never let himself off the hook for his failures. Great choice to have him stop making his flame beard. He only put that up as a constant show of strength to cover up his weakness. Now he’s done with needing to be seen as the strongest. He can just let his weakness show the man he really is. Brilliant character development. And Bakugo, to a lesser extent, thought back to the disparity between him and Deku. That misunderstanding that caused Bakugo’s inferiority complex to flare up and he took it out on Deku. He saw himself as the main character with everyone else as extras, but now he sees that everyone has their place from Monoma and Aizawa to Momo to Kaminari. This isn’t just the Bakugo show and that counters nicely with All For One’s treatment of “side characters” in reference to Tokoyami and Jiro. Bakugo was raised thinking he was special and that the world was owed to him. His journey at UA has gotten him out of that mindset and he can now appreciate the value of “side characters” instead of pushing them down. And he’s unlocked a new move with those shoulder guns: Murica! Also Tokoyami wrapping Jiro’s jacket around his arm and using that darkness for a Ragnarok level punch was insanely cool. Tokoyami is definitely one of the characters who has leveled up the most and has one of the highest ceilings. To go from next to useless in light to figuring out a way to use maximum power in a localized part of his body reminds me of Deku using 100% OFA in his fingers.
My favorite parts were the delayed reaction to Endeavor losing his arm and "talk about the world's longest sleeve". I want to steal that but I don't know when I'll get to use it in casual conversation.
I named myself Endeavour, which means there will never be a day I comfort myself saying "I did my best". That has to be the most poignant summary of his character. There will never be a day where he did enough to make his kids grow up safe, so he'll never feel the satisfaction of knowing he gave them that. There will never be a day where he truly surpassed All Might, so he'll never feel like his best is enough. There will never be a day where he truly deserves his family's forgiveness, so he can't give up trying to make things right. Even when he's heroic, it's his duty be a hero so he can't even feel good about it. I love this character.
My heart just broke when Endeavor said that he'll hate himself for the rest of his life because he knows that's true. His mistakes are what led to his fight with All For One and the birth of Dabi, Touya. His past will always be a part of him, but that's ok because he'll use the pain of the past to create a path toward the future. A future where his son and his friends can walk forward with a smile, like All Might. He'll win this fight, survive this final battle, and he'll keep looking at Touya from now on! 🔥 ❄ 💔
AFO used Rewind through the deleter round Shigaraki stole from Overhaul. Yes. He stole Rewind (not completely tho). :) That's why there's a hint this entire episode. The first time the will of the quirks stopped him, a spectre looked like Eri. Then AFO grabbed one spectre that looks like Eri.
his ear coming back after using the copied quirk rewind doesn't seem to be enough of a clue for some watchers considering this Mfer didnt have any ears to begin with...or at least the begginning of this fight lol
AFO used the bullets that overhaul made form eri to rewind him to a pervious state. if you're wondering how AFO got the bullets, Shigaraki got them for overhaul the second time they met.
I know it's shonen but Deku has not proved himself and to us, he can take on and defeat All for One or Shigaraki! I rather see the other heroes go all out before that.
just jump to manga if you can't be patient how the story going this kinda of story you get when 98% character, even mob have super power and not spesific people, in begining all hero have their spot light not only deku
