I can only seem to use basic functions with Alexa such as turn on, change channel, and change volume. There doesn't seem to be a way to send any of the "More" commands (none seem to be recognized) This is very limited functionality. Am I missing something, or is there a plan to increase the command set? I want to eliminate the need to keep 4 remotes cluttering my coffee table and thought the RM4 mini was up to the job.
I have my cable box configured with my RM4 and Google Home. While I can turn on/off, set a channel number, channel up and down, I cannot figure out how to go the previously viewed channel (last channel), bring up the channel guide, and an Exit/Back command. Is there a published list of all the supported Google or Alexa commands?
Hi, I managed to set up Alexa to turn on/off tv, volume up and down etc but trying to get alexa to select tools button (so that I may choose a hdmi-cec) on my samsung TV. Can Alexa take this command? I also have a ceiling fan were broadlink has full functionality of fan but only off and ceiling fan light commands are working on Alexa. Any ideas to solve this issue? Thanks thanks
I have an Alexa in my living room and I can control my air-conditioner in that room without any problem. I need to add an air-conditioner in my second room to Alexa, I am not able to do it. Both the Air-Conditioners are identical. What is the process
I could not get custom RF device to be discovered by alexa but then I discovered I could add the device to a broadlink scene and the scene was recognized by alexa. I could say alexa "Run Open Curtain" and it would run the scene. I didn't want to have to say "Run" so I then create an alexa routine that runs the scene so no I can say Alexa "Open Curtain" or "Open Drapes" and it works. Was about to send it back before I found this work-around. For Broadlink RM4 pro Alexa only seems to recognize IR devices but not RF. But it does recognize scenes so that is the solution.
Everything working great. However, in Alexa, the options for "Set AC Mode to Dry" or "Set AC Mode to Fan-Only" does not work. Same works well with Google. Please add support for these two commands in Alexa. Everything else works perfectly. Thanks!
Hi, I connect my mitsubsi air con to broadlink, if i use learning mode, google home cannot detect but when i use the matching mode, during the matching test, my aircon turn on and off but when i set the matching for my device i cannot turn it on and off. Please explain and help me !
The temperature and humidity sensors are not showing any value (displaying only a generic icon with a gear icon in the upper right corner) in Google Home? Is it something to configure regarding those in the BroadLink app or in Google Home?
@@stefanaleksandrov1684 I was expecting to display the values to. It's not very convenient to ask the assistant in the middle of the night when everybody else sleep.
Thanks for the video. How do I change my Amplifier's Input Function? I tried: "Hey Google. Turn on Amplifier Tuner" All I get are search results. The Tuner button is defined in my Broadlink App and works fine if I press the button.
@@BigFan00777 For any good suggestions, you can post it on our Facebook page or write to andy@ibroadlink.com Thank you so much for your support on us :)
@8:53 - Census? Seriously? It's "Celsius", after the Swedish astronomer Anders Celsius. Some will argue it's the C of Centigrade. But in either case, "Census" is definately wrong!
I added blinds to my Broadlink app (Broadlink RM Pro) and linked it to my Google Home as shown in the video, however, it just shows up as a generi icon in Google Home and does not let you control via the app or voice. What could be going wrong here?
Piece of rubbish. I bought two, how foolish was I. No connectivity, manual input for every command because none of the built in remotes work. Awful user experience, and customer service is a joke. Avoid buying is my advice.
Sorry for any inconvenience caused. Could you share your "awful" experience with us through email subscription@ibroadlink.com? We guarantee you will have prior support on this. For IR options, please understand it is very hard for any manufacturer to get 100% IR code. But you can let us know the brand and model of your appliance and we will try to support that in our database asap. Thanks
