I could literally walk forever around Broadway. Been going to Myrtle ever since I was a toddler and I've gotten so used to the surroundings and where everything is. I'm 28 now. Myrtle is my home away from home.
Thanks for the shout-out for the Wonders Magic Show Theatre. We look forward to bringing the magic back to Myrtle Beach soon. You are invited as our special guest. :-)
Beautiful there... we are seniors high risk. Won't make it this year. Really looks like off peak. I feel for the young people, Stay safe all. Keep up the great videos.
Mr Myrtle, i have watched this paticular video at least a half a dozen times, and every time i watch it, io really recognize every place you pass, all the T-shirt places there are really awesome.
Excellent walk around Broadway at the Beach. We stop there at least once on vacation to shop for gifts and eat a dinner. I always replenish my T-shirt collection there and find the "T-Shirt Connection" a great shop for that.
A shame we had to cancel our vaca this year to Myrtle, maybe if things look better for sure and there's openings we'll consider Aug or first week of Sept maybe. Usually we stroll through Broadway twice and Barefoot once while down there. So strange seeing Broadway so empty.
I worked at Broadway for a few years, managing the defunct “Glow” store, that was in the dead corner of the complex, near the Italian restaurant and the parking area for the old Hard Rock Cafe. Our sister store “Dapy” was up near Riley’s and now is a T-shirt store, after the parent company got sold. Summers were extremely busy and hard to deal with but the off season was incredibly boring. After cleaning everything multiple times, my staff and I spent days tossing around foam footballs behind the building and trying, in vain to get one across the lake while feeding the ducks. I bet we punted or tossed about a 100+ footballs into the lake. Good times and I thank you for the tour and memories.
What happened to key west grill? We loved the awesome blue and gold macaw that was there. What happened to Kiwi (the macaw)? We were looking forward to seeing kiwi this year. 😢
Nice video Mr Myrtle. I guess I'll just show Mary this video and we can scratch off the trip to Broadway next week. This about covers it all. Lol, she won't go for that.
All of these videos are super nice! They make me miss Myrtle Beach, though. I haven't been down there since at least high school. Believe it or not, for me that's well over 10 years... I am the super huge nerdy type though, and MagiQuest was one of the highlights of my trips down there (I still even have my wand from the game). It's a shame to see that go. Ya gotta love it when you initially make a comment, and realize there are errors... lol
Great update! If you are going to do an update like this at Barefoot Landing could you step into We R Sweets? It is one of our favorite places stop and get taffy while watching the process of it being made. I'm curious to see what kind of protection measures or changes they have made to protect taffy during manufacturing. It was all open. I would think they would have it enclosed somehow now. Thanks again!
Myrtle Beach Things Thanks for responding, especially so quickly. I had started watching your video and stopped to make my comment and then got distracted with something else. When I came back and started watching, you went right by one of the stands. It is Ricciardi's Italian Ice. As soon as I saw it, I tried to delete my comment so I wouldn't look stupid for not watching the entire video closely. Thanks again for the quick reply. That stuff tastes so good to me! I literally got a cup of it everywhere i went around Myrtle Beach the last time I was there. 🤠
Was there last week much more open now - more crowded during weekend, weekdays more relaxed feel. Fun. Went to haunted mansion, alo Hollywood Wax Museum nearby.
I can remember when kligs kites opened! Right next to magic attic... They would have a guy flying and doing tricks with the kites. Good to see they are still around.
Is the Carousel from the old Pavilion Amusement Park still there, I see a building in the demolished area that looks like it’s Carousel house. It looks like it only a few kiddy rides if any from the old Pavilion are left.
I keep seeing what appears to be a carousel building in the distance. I know Myrtle Beach has more than just the carousel we saw in this video and I'd like to see the others if possible!
“Best” is subjective to your personal wants and expectations. I would not say it is the “best” time to travel anywhere due to such limited experiences available compared to the old normal.
@@MrMyrtle yes I agree with you, this Coronavirus has basically shut everything down. Thanks for replying to me. I think I'll go later after this Pandemic is over. Have a good day.
We will be coming in October looking forward to coming very much October is a good month to come not to many people I want to get some shopping done for my grandkids my husband myself can’t wait
We will have to get to Broadway early in the morning to see and do more.So many things to do and shops, restaurants cannot get through it in one day.Last time we only got to see about a third as it was so busy in the evening. We plan to visit Barefoot Landing for the first time and Grand Coastal Mall.Do you know if Family Kingdom is open? Hard Rock cafe and Dave and Busters are definitely on our list. We will be in MB for an entire week in 2 weeks and then again first week August. We noticed the weather is fantastic. Thanks for the entertaining and interesting video.👍
Good video 😀 RetroActive is one me and my sister's favorate shop's , we stop at Broadway At The Beach on the way home each May. Hope we can go next May, this year did not work out because of Covid19.
Were going the first week of August hopefully things pick up being an ex Myrtle native now reside in SoCal. My girlfriend is an OC girl so she has never been to the Grandstand should be a good culture shock.😁😁😁
I’m so disappointed... Broadway is nothing like it used to be. It doesn’t even look as good as it used to. I was so excited to go back until I’ve been doing some looking around and seeing of how much it changed!! ): won’t be as fun of a trip this year seeing a lot of my childhood memories gone...
THEY DID NOT JUST SHUT DOWN KEY WEST GRILL IM SUIIINGGGG THAT WAS MY FAVORITE PLACE TO EAT WHEN I WAS A KID I lived there when I was 5-10 and broadway at the beach was my favorite and no as a 15 year old I’ve lived in Florida for 5 years and I wanted to go up there during the summer 🥺🥺🥺
I live in New Jersey with my parents but me and my parents have a condo in South Carolina and people are acting horrible with not wearing masks and not social distancing themselves
Gave this video a "like" as it was very informative, but the spinning and up and down from walking made me sick. Though I did giggle at the sped-up motion of the walking at first.
