This is awful news for the Canucks as they have just lost their best goal scorer of the playoffs due to blood clots. That and more in today's NHL hockey video!
You said it perfectly. When I was reading the article and saw he was out I cheered a little bit, but as I kept reading and saw it was blood clots I was concerned and am wishing him well. With that being said though, let’s go oilers
Yeah even I was excited to hear until I heard what he was out for. I’d much rather have him healthy scoring goals against us than having to sit out due to stuff you can’t control. Hope the best for that guy, he’s a beast.
@@lowtierduster-7254yeah not now they aren’t , but everyone was , stop pretending that wasn’t the case now that they are taking the oilers the distance with they’re 3rd string goalie
Blood clots are as serious as it gets. My uncle passed far too young from a normal bruise from mens league. He had undiagnosed blood clots and it was too late by the time he knew something was wrong and made it to the hospital. I think it's usually treatable and serious issues are preventable as long as you're aware ahead of time.
@@frausx8665 What?!? No i am Not. just because i am a Fan of a Another Team Doesn't Mean i can't show my Support for a Another Player on another Team or show Respect and Give Credit where it's Due to a Another Team/Player
@doctordakotascorpio7047 don't let him bother you bro, he is just trolling you. The original comment you posted just shows that you have character. I'm a Penguins fan and I feel the same. No matter what team they are, even if it's the Flyers or the Capitals. I still show my respect too. Nobody should have to go through a career ending injury or a health problem such as this.
hate between fans during the playoffs is one thing, but I never wanna see a player out with a serious condition like this, no matter who or what team, wishing him well from E town
Yeah because the vaccine was around when Bosch had his issue. There are numerous reasons why someone can be predisposed to get blood clots and the vaccine is the least likely of all of them.
@@LaSTBlazin Blood clots have been an issue in the NHL for well over a decade now. Do a search for "More hockey players being diagnosed with blood clots than ever" and you will find an article from 2015 talking about this issue. If I didn't have a conscience I could have grifted so much money off of you Dunning Krugered fools.
Weird how everyone in the NHL got the shot and in 3 years only a handful players out of 1000s had this issue. Not to mention that blood clots have been an issue in the NHL for over 20 years. But then again, I guess for you folks that's all part of the conspiracy too. Serious case of Dunning Kruger here.
@@JesusFriedChristGuess you shouldn't have an account for you to spread your crazy conspiracy theories you really are the lowest of the low for trolls.
I sincerely hope and pray that Brock can fully recover. He's a special player, and I'd hate to see his career cut short. Stamkos' recovery* gives me hope that Boeser will completely overcome this. As fans, we easily acknowledge that health comes before hockey. Player's brains simply aren't wired this way, however. (Most) hockey players would NEVER 'choose' to miss even a single playoff game. If he's missing GAME 7, it's serious. * Similar thing happened to Stamkos in 2016. Stammer's situation was very serious and required emergency surgery. Happened at the end of the regular season, which caused him to (essentially) miss the entirety of TB's run that ended in game 7 of the East Final vs Pittsburgh. He returned for GM7 vs PIT, but he probably shouldn't have. There was a genuine concern for not only the fate of his career, but whether his overall health would ever recover.
Well, it’s over. I’m proud of my Canucks! Nobody expected them to even make the playoffs, let alone to game 7 of the second round! The core group gained excellent playoff experience, including a young goalie of the future. I’ll never forget the comeback win against Nashville, the great comeback win against Edmonton, Miller’s goal with 31 seconds remaining! So many great memories. Thanks!
Absolutely brutal news for Canucks. Just praying Brock makes a full recovery and is back to his usual self next season. This kid has revitalized Canucks hockey and we wouldn’t have made it this far without him.
Well, this series is over 3-0 in the 3rd. The NHL got its wish and it will be McDavid in the finals, WCF at least. They sure know how to "showcase" their best players.
I am a life long TORONTO MAPLE LEAFS fan, however when a young man like this suffers blood clots and is an IMPACT player for the NHL the entire hockey universe will be keeping him and his family in our thoughts and prayers. Take care Brock.
I was feeling confident about Edmonton going into tonights game, but after this news I think Vancouver plays super hard and wins. Emotion is a huge game changer. Still hoping for an Oiler win.
As someone nearly killed by blood clots in my 20s, this is DEFINITELY a serious situation. In my case a minor trauma snowballed because I have a genetic predisposition to clotting (protein S deficiency). Taking a blocked shot to the soft tissue of the calf or thigh could very easily lead to vessel injury and a cascading blood clotting issue. Ironically I was thinking about this very thing a week or so ago during a game with a flurry of blocked shots. To protect the players, I would create a delay of game penalty for dropping to the ice in front of a shot.
Damn, down 2 of their top players. Brutal! Wanted to see the announcers and doubters eat their words. They are a strong team but their other players need to step it up.
It sucks. Boeser is a truly great person. He's one of the few guys who seems like the complete opposite of "hockey culture". A real good guy. He deserves better than this. With all that said, the Vancouver Canucks fired their anthem singer for being against the vaccine, and if the Canucks go down tonight, they absolutely deserve to go down like this.
@@CreepBoot you were the test subjects because the shots were too dangerous for the lab rats. It's not a sprint, it's a marathon. Good luck and godspeed
@deftone330 i was wondering because first it was 2023, then 2024.. its like .. get on with it already. thanks for your medical opinion btw. its really apreciated.
M8, no. Clot shot is life threatening and this is not. Also, it’s been like 3 years and if it’s just now coming up, it’s very unlikely to be related. Another thing is that clot shot was most common in middle aged women and I don’t think Brock is a middle aged woman. Couple other things that make it extremely unlikely to be this is that 60 people have reported it out of 18 million that got jnj shot. Also, he more than likely didn’t even get the jnj shot. Jnj was only given out to around 5-10% of the population and only 60 people have reported symptoms. You trying to spread this false narrative kills far more people than the .000001% chance of getting hurt by a vaccine of any kind.
Everybody is thinking it, but nobody has got the guts to look at some BC mass media news video from 2021 and openly ask the question knowing what we know now.
Honestly i wont be upset if the canucks lose. Everyone wrote them off as a wild card team all season and half of these players never been to the playoffs. Take the win that they made it this far and build off of it for next year
What I like is that the canucks came forward with it, so the fans knew it was something he couldn’t be playing with. Whereas Matthew’s? Nobody knew what was wrong with him and fans were getting all pissy with him and the maple leafs.
I expect the Canucks will come out with a hard rally, and the Oilers will need to be ready and respond. I will be adamantly cheering for the Oilers. For the part that rises beyond the game, it's important that they caught this - I've known people who passed away from blood clots. Get well, Brock Boeser the person. Sounds like he's out for the season regardless of this outcome (so don't take it as a cheap shot) - here's hoping he's ready to go for 50 next season.
Had a clot go to my brain. That shit is no joke. Docs have no idea why i made the clot. I didn't make any while in the hospital. Sometimes they just don't know.
It’s Canucks vs bettman because if Canucks advance they will beat Dallas and advance to face panthers or rangers to win the cup, if oilers advance they will get swept by Dallas. Remember the Canucks are vs bettman
@@hecticphusionnot multiple pro athletes across multiple sports, and personally family members and multiple co-workers and family members of co-workers. I used to know no one/when you would hear about it, it was rare. Now I personally know multiple people with life threatening issues that are supposedly 1 and a million.
@@dondraperbeats there are literally ads for anti clotting medicines that are sponsored by the US Olympics because they are so common. And they were sponsoring these ads well before the pandemic. Your anecdotal evidence is not real evidence.
of course the toronto fan would say that. as a fan of a canadian team, no other canadian team can win but mine. imo it’s dumb to cheer for other canadian teams because you’ll never hear the end of it. the pain it would bring
The great players put their life on the line to win championships. Probably why players like Boeser and teams like the Canucks will never win a championship. .
sometimes the oilers have been able to roll the canucks and sometimes the canucks have been able to smash the oilers. both fanbases know at this point its 50:50 who goes through
The only reason that both teams are in the second round is because their first round matchups were ridiculously weak, and this series is totally irrelevant because whoever wins, just gets the embarrassment of losing to Dallas.
I sincerely wish him well. Nobody wishes this type of thing on anyone. I hope he makes a full recovery and comes back for more hockey this playoffs. I won’t mention the elephant in the room, though. It may be worth looking into the above average death rates worldwide. There could be a connection here. Sending love to Brock and his family.
NY is literally the worst team in playoffs right now, they play so slow and sluggish. Vancouver, Dallas, Vegas, Boston, Oilers, and Panthers could play circles around them, lol. The Rangers only got as far as they did because they played some of the easiest teams, lol.
