Quick update, fam: the dog’s still sick; she’s got something that 80% of dogs don’t recover from, so it’s been a little tough to record. These singles were supposed to be put into a new album, that they either shoved back or canceled entirely, and then made a completely new album that’s real experimental (iridescence.) The album and these songs really are quite different

Just a little tidbit: Jazze Phe uploaded a clip of 1999 WILDFIRE with a verse from Ameer on it and the 1998 TRUMAN video was recorded during a time that Ameer was in the band so they’re rumored to be older/reworked tracks from PUPPY and the original name for TRUMAN was “DONT TALK BACK”

You are gonna love joba and dom in iridescence and also there is a sister/nation feel in iridescence as they experiment with a more electronic, gritty, factory sound

i think you'll like iridescence tbh. everyone says it's like sister/nation when they first hear it but looking back it's actually quite a different sound. i think the comparison was only first made because they're both experimental in some parts. i think because you're coming into it with an open mind and no expectations you'll really enjoy it.

Iridescence is super different but the more I listen to the album the more I fall in love with it. It's much more coherent and emotionally potent than the Saturation trilogy in my opinion. Just go in with an open mind. 💙

IMHO iridescence has two halves that tie into what you loved about Truman. Half of the tracks are hard hitting heavy beats and the other half are instrumental and guitar heavy songs and ppl who can appreciate these two sides enjoy BH the most BUT I still have no idea how you'll react to IRI lol personally I can listen to it front to back over and over. love these videos btw!

I'm early

Iridescence is made to be listened to front to back. Songs transition into each other seamlessly, Bearface and Joba have a bigger role and Joba especially really steps up and steals the show. It's a much more abrasive sound for the majority of the album, much less of a focus on hooks, and they LOVE beat switches on it. That's why people are making Sister/Nation comparisons. Looking forward to your reaction and thoughts!

I can confirm that the moshpits during Truman are indeed fucking insane. The whole crowd walked back and fourth its crazy.

First off, I’m sorry to hear about your dog. I hope they do end up coming through it and it’s fine that you take your time to come back and make videos. Life first always. Second, I’m glad you liked all three songs! Every time I come back to these I always see them as these three songs that are stuck in limbo between the SATURATION era and the iridescence era. They all definitely have the sound and elements to belong with the first trilogy, but you can tell they were also trying to create something new with them but ultimately fell short as they have even admitted to these songs sounding a lot like something off SATURATION. It’s nice to see them as a proper farewell to the SATURATION era but also a really small peek at what’s to come. Even though your thoughts and feelings for the second half of SATURATION III really surprised me I can’t wait to see what you think of iridescence. Like others have said try and listen to the album straight through. You can pause it during the songs if you’d like, but there are some transitions in there from song to song that are insane. All in all, I think you’ll come to like it. Maybe not all of it, but it’s a great album and we all have different opinions. Looking forward to it!

Iridescence is most likely going to be a tough one for you in the beginning. It definitely was for me. I was actually quite disappointed if I'm being completely honest. But after a few times of just really soaking everything in, I actually really enjoy it now. I'd say it's on par with like Saturation 3, maybe a little worse. For reference I have Saturation 2 at the top, and 1 in the middle.
