No Anthony, I have had enough. I have my own opinion on things now. That's why I think this album is a light 8.

This album got an 8 with no Yellow Flannel, while DAMN. got a 7 and a Yellow Flannel. This has been keeping me up for months and I had to mention it now

I.... AGREE. The direction the group is going in right now is a much needed one, i’m glad we got Ginger. Ginger is the perfect bounce back to Iridescence and all the trials the group went through. I was blown away when I first Dearly Departed, after I heard Doms verse for the first time it was like all this weight just got lifted off my shoulders, as former Ameer fan. I personally think IBBA sounds 10x better next to DD, it seems to capture the members whom were effected the most with their raw lyrical capabilities and flow, as we have a whole story with the record. I’m surprised you didn’t mention the slowed down sample of TEAM on DD, i thought that added to the track 50x more. Not going to lie, I was a little iffy where the group was going to go after Ameer left, but I’m super happy they delivered with Ginger. My saturated boys are back. i felt like "boy bye" was kind of initial send off to ameer, i mean that name. then "dearly departed" is the aftermath of going through the cycle of grief of ameer leaving, it's so obvious that ameer leaving was hurtful esp to kevin abstract, they were highschool friends.

The album is great for what it was intended for, which is insight and coping. If you expect it to be all out energetic bangers ofc you're gonna be disappointed. I personally loved the album

I wouldn't say it had any singles as hot as the bangers from the Saturation era, but it is hands down their most consistent album and I never feel like skipping a track like I do sometimes on all their other records.

Dearly departed was my favorite track off that album. One of my favorite BROCKHAMPTON songs. I loved that vintage 70s feel. It was raw, real emotion filled with pain and I love it.

I find this album to be a bit too whiney and feels incoherent like their last album. I am incredibly disappointed by this release. 9/10 it has a little something for everyone.

See, I understand the necessity of them getting their darker feelings out, but my expectations were sort of that they had already done that on Iridescence. That said, the way Iridescence is being described as a hasty, necessary expulsion of emotion, vs. Ginger being a more thought-out piece of artistic expression makes a lot of sense. I just sincerely hope the boys find ways to cope and invite happiness into their lives. I'm still waiting for some new, bright music, though I wholly expect it to be a different kind of bright than Saturation trilogy, if it does come. And all that said, I still really liked Ginger. I'm capable of setting aside my expectations in order to appreciate Brockhampton where they're at right now lol

I genuinely have so much love for Ginger, I came in during this era as a fan so I’ve been able to appreciate it a bit more without any bias for their earlier sound and growing up w the sat trilogy
