I think Auburn's fan base (and most fan bases) think football between August and January. They know little of what goes on during the offseason.

Hmm, Prince Tega was the left tackle in 2019, went straight to the NFL, has 2 Superbowl rings, played for the Eagles and the Chiefs, Jack Driscoll started at right tackle in 2019 went straight to the NFL and played at Philly and currently is with the Dolphins, and Mike Horton started all 12 games at guard in 2019, went straight to the NFL with Carolina for 2 years and then went to the XFL where he won a championship with Arlington in 23... this is a bs narrative of Bo Nix fanboys. That’s what they do to kids who commit to auburn. Look at Perry last year. Was a 5 star when committed to the little sister school up the road and soon as he flipped to Auburn they bumped him down to a 4 star. It’s just what they do

They compete. That's college football and that's what you want, a real competition. And I think Hank and Walker are the kind of guys who both expect and would welcome that. As far as I can tell, so would Holden. He chose not to enter the portal.

@@jvilletiger okay now do literally all his other games. He’s the reason we lost to Ole Miss this past season. Doesn’t complete 50% of his passes. Is only effective in a gimmick red zone package because teams know he’s a complete liability dropping back to pass. He’s not even projected to start over a freshman at SCAR. Doubt he takes a meaningful snap at the SEC level again at the QB position barring injury. Thorne isn’t a world beater but he is more accurate, more experienced, and won a NY6 bowl. Cherry picking one game to form an opinion on one way or another is incredibly lazy and genuinely wrong.

Not out of high school he didn’t. He recruited guards that would have to play tackle out of necessity. He recruited tackles out of JUCO and only had them for 2 years max.

Haskins did start Finley over Ashford though, so his evaluation wasn’t good either.
