Just another example why I won’t get a Harley. Had a ‘59 BSA and it vibrated itself loose so I always travelled with some tools. My Yamaha VMax never had any issues other than making me drive reckless out of the blue. Vroooom on!

Well I'll never buy another Harley-Davidson, but for different reasons than you I can't afford another one. The way prices are going bicycle Maybe what I have to get when this bike goes down

Same thing happened to me on my Road King I fixed it with 2 Zip ties and then forgot about it I rode like that for about a Month or 2, when I realized I still had the Zip ties I went to Harley for the upgraded part Easy install

I've lost the "heel" part of the heel toe shifter, it fell off pulling out of a parking lot. I've had the bolt come loose on the toe shifter and it sank to the floor board and finally have had that fwd shaft for the heel toe strip out for the toe. I had to use the heel shifter to shift in and out of gear to get it home. You'll have those issues if you ride and I've got 107K on mine.
