I just started trying to make Broken China Jewelry. I needed to watch how to cut my designs, and some good tips that will help me make some beautiful pieces. I want to thank you very much for this video. You were very clear and precise and I appreciated that so much since I am an absolute beginner.
Thank you very much! I’m thrilled you found some helpful tips! I just did a new broken china tutorial too if you’re interested! I appreciate your support! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-0HVu6bxAMPU.htmlsi=f1jorrcrDXzT-foS
Karen can you use the same method on stain glass?? I just love every one of your videos. I save all of them so I can go back and look at. Thank you Karen for all your help..💜💕🙏🏼❤️💕
Do you mean using the rotary tool for cutting glass? Yes but glass reacts slightly differently in that it can splinter more causing the possibility of getting little glass splinters in your hands & possibly cutting you skin if the shards strike you so be EXTRA cautious & use gloves & a face shield! Test the piece to see how it’ll reaction & then proceed with caution! Nippers & hand tools are probably best to use with stain glass honestly! Thank you so much for your sweet comments! I love that you are getting so much out of my tutorials! 🙏😊💙🩵💖❤️💜
Thank you for your wonderful video! I learned a lot and hope to get a drummel tool soon and start making some of my own. I really like your choice of pearls for each piece at the end!
I just started following you and absolutely enjoy your videos. I've been doing mosaics for a few years and have always admired jewelry made from delicate china, so thought I'd give it a try! Will continue to follow you for instruction and advice. Hope you are having a great day!!!
You know, I told you that I went to the resale shops, and found some really beautiful pieces of China. And my friend literally freaked out on me when she found out I was breaking them to make Jewelry. lol 😂 I only have one piece left that I made and it was a heart It doesn’t look anything I like the way yours do… But I work with Seaglass a lot and I make sure my face is protected and I do wear some Latex gloves. Because that glass slings around and I was finding pieces of glass embedded into my skin. Anyway, I have to finish watching your video , hugs 🤗, Michelle
Yes I remember you telling me this story! I agree seaglass or glass in general fractures a lot differently than china! I’ve also worked with seaglass & even depression glass as my youngest son is a collector for his eBay store! Fortunately I’ve never had any problems with flying bits & pieces because of the way the rotary works everything flies far off to the left but I do wear glasses! I need to get a pair of good all purpose well fitting gloves tho! I just haven’t found any I like! Do you use a rotary tool or something else? Thx for your comments! 🙏😊💖
Oh my gosh, regarding the gift from sister in law, I thought you put the pieces in where the water and lubricant went. lol. I was thinking rock tumbler. 😂 I bet you didn’t feel your hands getting hurt because the vibration from the machine numbed them. ❤
Thanks so much for your work on these videos! The rotary tool is now named "Generic" in bold type? So funny! I was wondering how the size, meaning circumference, where you how it affects your hands. While I have larger hands and worked in construction for almost twenty years, I now have both psoriatic and osteoarthritis. I need to pick the right tool for that. Your admonition to let the tool do the work is right on but grip can be a problem if it is too small or too big. What say you!!
Thank you kindly! The rotary tool is called a Tack Life and I had originally purchased it on Amazon although it is not available there right now you can probably still find it on the Internet. It is about 4 years old right now and still going strong. I paid under $35 for it with a case and a few accessories so it’s very affordable. As far as the circumference it measures approximately 2 inches across at its widest and it fits very comfortably in my hand, it’s not exactly round but more of an oval so it fits even better. I would suggest to look at one in the store and have a feel before purchasing it. I have had great results and use it for polishing, cutting, grinding, etc. and never had hand fatigue. I appreciate your interest and support! 🙏😊💖
Hey gf… Your poor fingers!!! Hope they are getting better…I burnt my finger on a cup handle, taking it out of the microwave after making Quincey hot chocolate…I’m a dummy🤪. I had a blister immediately…it popped and blistered again… won’t be doing that again🤬. Can’t wait for the next video!!! 🧡 & XXX’s
I know, right! Duh 😂 Oh no that’s not fun! Ouch! Well as we’ve said before…we’re too much alike in a lot of ways 🤣🤣🤣. We’ll be healing together! Thx my friend for your continued support! Love ya! 🙏😊💖
Fun video to watch. How did your lil finger protectors work? Did they help? I've found that if I have high pressure points like that when I'm working, either just wrapping my fingers with painters tape, or even coban ( if you've got it )works well, and usually stays in place. Be fun to see what you do with all your pieces.😊💖👍
Thx gf. The protectors did the job! I only wish I had put them on when I first started feeling irritation 🤣🤣🤣 I also had painters tape & vet wrap that I remember thinking about but then….well you know…🤣 I’ll be back at Part 2 later today! Thx for your continued support! I appreciate you! 🙏😊💖
@@karensintuitivejewelry Awesome, looking forward to your video.😁 Also good to know the finger protectors worked. Lol,.... I know, right?! You get into a project n just keep doing it. Then later you're cussing yourself out for either not paying attention, or just not listening to yourself. 🤷🏻♀️😅😂 The glass n tile grinder looks like a fun tool. I know someone that has one as well and they love it. I think I'll have to use my glass n tile nippers, and Dremel to get the job done for now. Looking forward to seeing how you finish all the pieces.👍💖
Thx for the tip! Great product, I just wish it wasn’t so pricey! Until I have 💰 to spare I’ll just be more careful & maybe not do 12 pieces at once! 🤣🤣🤣 I appreciate your support! 🙏😊💖
There’s many MANY different places that I’ve purchased findings from over the years including Amazon, craft stores, shows, online jewelry stores, etc Is there something specific you’re looking for?
