Love your channel. Worked on a 120 Herford Dairy Farm for two years. In the winter our hours were about 12 hours per day. We milked around 53 cows per milking in a milking parlor four to aside. It took about 2 hours. Milk pumped directly into stainless steel tank 10,000-gallon tank. You have 274 cows. It is beyond me as to how you have any type of social life? Your dedication for a Youngman in his 20's is remarkable. That goes for your Sisters who are younger. I am now in my 79th year of life on this earth. Have worked on a farm growing up all my life. Married in my early twenties sometimes holding down three different jobs to support my family. Please, let all of us who follow you know what you do for fun besides work? Keep sharing with us at my age it brings back many fond memories!
Thanks for the road trip to town with you and showing that self poropelled Vermeer baler that was great! And really liked the 14 bale self loading hay wagon. Great looking machine! Sure smart of you to only haul 8 and not rut up that field👍Keep up the great work!! ✅
Jan runs, pen 1 chases Jan, damn he was to fast for us, we will just go run and play as he is trying to work...success at last. Such fun to watch. To bad that new equipment still gives you headaches, oh well, gets you off the farm on a rainy day, thank goodness one was in stock. Love the baler wagon. That is the first time I have seen one in action, what a nice labor saver. Thanks Jan for the great video.
Even though I knew you were showing it in fast forward, I still jumped when you came up behind that standing traffic at 3:54 minutes in! Almost gave me a heart attack! Happy Canada Day to you too Jan! It's nice to have good neighbors!
Happy CANADA DAY to you, your family, and all Canadians from the USA. Thank for always providing precise & detailed narratives on both the equipment & the work being performed.
Happy Canada Day, Jan, from Halifax Nova Scotia! 99,800 subscribers! So close to 100,000. That's quite an achievement in a short amount of time. I hope all your hard work turns into great opportunities for you and your farm.
Hopefully the dealer will be investigating why the brand new mixer fell apart and give you some warranty on it. Calves sure do like to play the gate game. That is a nice bail wagon. Looks like it has some new parts on it too. Good video. Peace.
Jan, I used to feed from a shelbourne Reynolds twin mixer wagon here in the uk- started getting the slats on the auger braking off- workshop guy would weld back on, then another, then another, 6-7 until we replaced the whole chain bed before Xmas one year- but that fed 280 cows X2 day for 8 years. Nxt time with bedding your calves, park further forward, open gate, reverse back a little and straight in! Nothing worse than 1 or 2 escaped calves if you're by yourself lol Good vids by the way!!
Very interesting videos the way you edit and the use of the drone. That is quite the farm to keep ahead of things. Some slick machines keep the videos coming THANKS.
Happy Canada Day! And... 🎉 Congratulations with hitting the 100.000!👊😎🎉 Jan and family, super congrats with this ingredible achievement Sooo fast!! Yesss! 👌😎👊 Let the Button from YT come your way soon! Jan, you do a great job, explaining, videography and vlogging is absolutely something that you do great, just like farming and I absolutely love to hope that in the future you can contribute with your work on RU-vid for yourself and your family farm!!
wow, I would love to show the Bail hauler off to some of these southern farmers . That thing is great,,,I can remember handling all them square bales as a kid.
First of all, Jan, wishing you and all of your fellow Canadians a Happy Canadian Day. The bail picker is a pretty cool piece of equipment. Always love your videos and thank you for making them and sharing.
congrates on ur 100k subs, So finally u have to do some work LOL we sure enjoy and love learning about ur farming opt, Could u share cost to feed each cow daily as well as yeild and some of thr other operating cost u incure in ur daily operation of the farm thank you fer time .Peace
Happy Canada Day, Good thing that breakdown didn’t happen today or you might have had trouble finding someone for parts. Having said that my Dad was a parts-man for CaseIH and there was no such thing as a holiday. Many a time as we sat down for supper he got called back in for someone needing parts. Another great video!
I used to work on a dairy and 1962 and I'm enjoying less if I have a few billion dollars I mind me a doubt there I out there and Fresno California you're doing a good job killed both U you and the guy from a 10 generation I like both your channels I'm just an old guy stuck on a common less than home waiting for surgery and when I get outta here I'll never look at the dairies again I love a dairy I love cows always have and always will but you
OMG those cows were like "THE GATES OPEN, LET'S HEAD OUT AND ORDER A PIL!!!!!!!" LMAO Holy crap that was hilarious! GOOD timing on getting them back in Jan!! Truly the funniest moment on this channel LMAO!!! HAPPY CANADA DAY from all your friends in the USA! We love you guys!!!!
that was some sweet drone footage! really let us see how bit the operation is...and that was just a small part......very interesting channel....also I watch Cole the Cornstar from Iowa - and I figured that if I was subbed to his channel - I better sub to a Canadian one as well! Happy Canada Day! ♥
Hey Jan, Happy Canadian Day you got lucky there it look like the cows were going to make a run for it lol. Whenever something breaks your are right on top of it and you get the job done. So whats next for SDK keep up the good work see you in the next video 🤔😯🐄😉
How much spoilage do you get by not wrapping the bales? On our farm we add lactobacillus inoculant, bale damp and wrap. Good fermentation and no wastage. Like the fancy trailer but it is ad hoc.
Cows running out haha.. Try to make a fence in the main road that you can close while getting inside with the case leader to prevent cows for getting far away.. cause that scary running tho 😂
You know you don't always have to have just a 10-14 minute video. I'm sure some of us would enjoy longer videos of various things on a daily basis. Even a live stream would be nice.
Nope, please be happy with what this young man chooses to share with all of us. These 10-15 minute videos are the result of hours and hours of shooting footage and then hours of editing. I feel like we should be at a point where this shouldn't need to be said but...it is what it is, right! Thanks for another great video Jan!
Jan is generous enough to make and share his great videos and he makes them as long as he has the time. I am thankful for them and hope you would be the same. Seems kind of selfish to demand more of a young man's time when he gives so much of it already.
That feed wagon chain broke too soon in a new machine. I assume you will get some sort of warranty results. I also assume you will repair that broken chain; as it is so new, still tight; and it will be in reserve when the next one breaks. You do excellent videos; many thanks.
Did you guys figure out what happened to the old chain did something get into the feeder that bent or snapped it? I mean that looks like a fairly heavy duty piece of machinery is it just poorly welded? That’s rough with a brand new piece of equipment like that.
Well looks like you got to make a big trip to civilization lol I know the feeling when I get off the horse farm . Can you fly the drone from inside the tractor ? Ps I could live on milk alone !
I had the same problem yesterday with one of our silage wagons had about a skid loader scoop of oat silage to put in the bagger when a link broke on the discharge conveyor
