Sometimes the mind can become your worst enemy. When that happens and you feel like you have no one to turn to without getting hurt even more, the only easy escape other than death is drugs. It isn’t seen as a foolproof method, but as a last resort. When one uses drugs they are used not as a means to kill yourself, but as a means to cope with unbearable pain, to end suffering, and to prevent you from doing an unthinkable act you couldn’t undo once it’s carried out. But in the end the battle fought was a losing one. The only option now was to ask for help from others.😔 Spice is a prime example for that.😭🥺

I‘m SO relieved that Spice is going to get the help he needs. And it’s reassuring that Spice genuinely wants to get better. Some people with these issues or similar ones don’t even think there’s anything wrong with them or are so far gone that they don’t see the point. I‘m relieved Spice is not one of these people who could undergo involuntary admission at worst if it came down to it. My heart aches for Spice but I‘m glad he’s willing to ask for and get help. He can finally have hope that he can recover and he knows he has his family’s support regardless of how they may act (I‘m looking at you Sav😒😔😏😑)

They say everyone has their own demons to battle. Some are crueler than others. Some are easier to defeat than others. But at times the cruelest demon that can often be the hardest to battle is not outside but inside oneself. One needs body and mind to fight off whatever demons one might face in life. But what happens when the demon one has to battle is not others but yourself? How is one supposed to be strong and fight when the body and mind designed to be one’s own weapon suddenly turns the blade on you? You can’t fight yourself so you seek alternative means to fight and defeat those demons or to at least keep them at bay long enough or even just to cope with them being there. Unfortunately one can often feel alone in their battles even though they have others they could turn to. They want to ask for help, but don’t know how to or and/or are afraid of the response of others. Their fear often so strong it paralyzes them. As a result they continue to battle alone. Until they suddenly can’t take it anymore, until they get so weary, so tired, that they want to rest, the pain to end, to give in. That’s when their at their lowest, when they can’t hide their pain any longer even if they try. Spice was at his lowest, at his wit’s end. He could no longer keep his pain hidden from everyone. He felt damaged, broken beyond repair. What he used as an escape only ended up breaking him further and he sees no way out anymore. He screams and lets everything out in a devastating explosion. He gives his pain, that had accumulated to an unbelievable size, a voice, so loud it can be heard for miles. The last desperate and hopeless cry of a tormented soul. And his cry had been answered. He can finally receive the help he needs and wants so desperately. And when he feels the love of his parents surrounding him, when he realizes he’s no longer in danger, that he’s safe… he feels their love, their promise of help wrap around him like a warm blanket a shield of light that covers his body and mind, soothes his pain, mends his wounds and dispels those demons. He cries harder, out of relief that he’s no longer alone. That he never will be… alone😭😭🥹🥹

The way Spice broke down into tears and said he didn’t know how to ask for help is completely heartbreaking 💔 I feel terribly bad for him
